Help! My Seattle '08 DVD got scratched!
Awesome, thanks Andre. I installed the updated maps (along with the updated SanFran maps I managed to get off the scratched DVD). I then took a Beechjet down to SFO from Olympia, over the course of a few evenings and stopping off once or twice. Was really impressed when I crossed into SanFran region and it loaded the region data midflight, made for a very immersive experience even after all these years.

Help! My Seattle '08 DVD got scratched!
If you could upload it somewhere that would be great. It's annoying using the 'default' map as all the approach plates etc I have printed out are for the '08 version.

Help! My Seattle '08 DVD got scratched!
I dusted off FU3 for the first time in years the other day and had a quick fly around. I found my copy of the Seattle update some kind soul had burnt to DVD and posted but I've just tried it and it's got a massive scratch down it. Can anyone help? The library only seems to have sea0802.zip but no sea0801.zip!

New FU3 install, tips needed
Hi all,I'm just reinstalling FU3 after a HDD failure and I've got a few questions:1. What are the 'recommended' flt3.cfg options? I seem to remember that there was a 'mega' cfg floating around that fixed a lot of the issues with sky banding.2. I am using a PS2 joypad (I know, it's not great but it's allI have) and I've lost my joykeys.cfg, can someone post theirs so I can rebuild my one. I am particularly interested in how you can cycle the views on a button press, how to stop the throttle being auto assigned to one of the axis (I prefer it on the X and square buttons)Any help greatfully accepted and thanks to all those guys who have sent me the updates on DVD!

"Please insert scenery disc"?
Bad news I'm afraid. My 2TB drive with my FU3 install has gone titsup, taking with it my entire music collection, including some songs I had written myself. I *think* I've got copies of it elsewhere but I hope I haven't lost it all!I am in the process of reinstalling but I'm getting stuck on a few bits, I'll start a new thread for those.

"Please insert scenery disc"?
I've just sat down from a break from FU3 to play it again and I'm getting this irritating message. I have added an extra drive to my computer so I am assuming it's due to that. I've tried editing REGIONS/SEATTLE/region.cfg but this doesn't seem to make any difference. What do I need to do to fix my FU3 installation?

Adding VOR beacons using FLED
I'd like to setup an ILS system at Bristol and Filton, but I can't seem to find a tutorial on how to set it up. I've had a look at the ones already done and I can't see what I'm doing different? Where is the glideslope beacon supposed to go?

Exactly what I was after, thanks agtim!

Adding VOR beacons using FLED
Yep, thats the process I was using, I figured out early on I didn't have to regenerate 5-7 each time. I still have problems getting it right though. Is there an easy way too overlay what you can see in FLED (printscreen?) onto the tga files, as I find it very hard to judge where the airport would be. Also how would I go about fixing that area so the exact coordinates fit? I've got an airport setup now, although I need to read up on how to create runway models, as it looks a little complicated. At the moment I am using one of the stock models but it's a bit too long. I have to admit it's a very good scenery pack. Flying along the coast around Porlock and Minehead in the Mooney is perfect, 12 miles from the St Athans VOR at 212deg ;-) Great job guys!

Adding VOR beacons using FLED
Ah ok, manage to figure out most of what I wanted through RTFM. I used a combination of FLED to get the tile name, GeoTileViewer to extract the TGA, GIMP (with RLE disabled, of course) to edit and then used level57maker to regenerate. I still have a few questions, but I might start another thread for those.

Adding VOR beacons using FLED
More oddness, I've made a simple airport at EGDX following the instructions in the help file. It loads up ok but it seems that halfway down the runway it turns into water! I'm assuming that this is because it is at a lower height than the water nearby. How do I go about flattening airports?

Adding VOR beacons using FLED
Ah, that helps a lot, thanks. The only problem I have now is that when I put those coordinates into FLED, it goes to Watchet/Minehead area instead of St. Athans. I am guessing there is something in my flt3.cfg that is wrong. EDIT: It appears the coords in FLED are 51 36.690307, 3 25.665621 Odd.

Adding VOR beacons using FLED
I'm hopelessly stuck here. I'd like to add this VOR beacon to UK-South:http://worldaerodata.com/wad.cgi?nav=ST+ATHAN&nav_id=SAT&nav_type=3 I can figure out how to move and add beacons but I can't figure out how to convert the coordinates into something I can put into FLED? Little help?

FU2 'Sold out' version compatible with FU3?
Got them, thanks again Chris. EDIT: I seem to not be able to do challenges now, they are greyed out? Something in the advanced configuration file is causing it, as my old flt3.cfg lets me play the challenges on my new install. Wierd. EDIT2: Duuh, I forgot to change the region back to Seattle in the 'Airport' section.

If you could upload your region updates that would be great, thanks Chris! Just reinstalling FU3 now.

FU2 'Sold out' version compatible with FU3?
Cool, thanks for the info. I'm in the process of reinstalling FU3 because I had a problem with the challenges. It seems with one of the updates from the file library, the position of the airport changes, so when I land there it fails to complete as the waypoint is no longer where it should be. I'm going to try a 'vanilla' install just to check, although I wouldn't mind a list of 'must-have' addons. I remember the AI upgrade is definitely worth it. Any more that I should be using (apart from the official patch of course)?

FU2 'Sold out' version compatible with FU3?
I'm looking to get this item off ebay, it's the "Sold out" version of FU2:http://www.ebay.co.u...d3#ht_500wt_973 Does anyone know if this version works for the San Fran scenery pack in FU3?

I have a spare non-English FU3 manual
It's in Dutch, Google translate can detect language automatically now:http://translate.google.com/

If you use FU3, then please confirm by posting here
I just got into my Flight Sims and found FUIII totally engrossing. Not the prettiest sim, but it's the realism factor that keeps me playing. I've knocked up a quick config file for playing with a Playstation 2 joystick if anyone needs it.

UK-SOUTH - Where to find
Erm, never heard of Bittorrent then? Maps2bglk no longer works (it just downloads blank tiles).Right, that's it, I give up. I don't understand why a lot of people would put so much work into something just to let it disappear.

UK-SOUTH - Where to find
Can anyone point out where I can get the UK-SOUTH scenery please? Apparently Wikipedia reckons there's an 'amazing' scenery add-on for FU3 but I can't find it anywhere! Thanks in advance
