Credit Card Fraud - It does happen!
Yes me too on Wednesday, fortunately the card company contacted me and stopped the card. Only three small 2 or 3 dollar transactions in the US, one to a 'religious organisation' and two to a company I've never heard of. I've reviewed my security and I seem to be as secure as one can be, but it happens I suppose!

Some shots of recent endeavors. Whirly birds still a bit hit and miss....usually 'miss' landing point and 'hit' buildings...

JF 146 QT And DX10 Scenery Fixer.
Thanks. Yes It is bloom within FSX, and yes it definitely has an appetite for FPS. Still up in the high 20s (locked at 30) with this JF and probably others that don't tax the hardware overly , but I may well look in more detail if I get attached to the effect. JF 146 QT And DX10 Scenery Fixer.
Many thanks! I must admit I haven't had bloom enabled for many a year and everything looked gorgeous; there's been a few hardware changes since then. I nearly hung up my wings a couple of weeks ago following the worst, most difficult to pin down hardware failure I have ever suffered since I started simming in 1999. It's flights like this one that make me glad I persevered till I finally worked out what was going on...(I may still need therapy to get over the trauma though, lol!) I don't usually try out two new addons simultaneously, but.....it did make for a good Friday evening!

Half Full or Half Empty?
A vacuum, eh! You given me a idea. If I dramatically increase the atmospheric pressure in my room it may press Windows onto the hard drive. It would work in the movies...

Half Full or Half Empty?
Thanks! And I've now learned something about glasses I never knew before.! If I ever actually manage to get the PC working again (I keep reminding it that resistance is futile and at the moment it doesn't believe me), I will try for landing number two!

Half Full or Half Empty?
Over the past couple of years I have indulged in an side project of really getting to grips with helicopters in FS.Well on Thursday I finally completed a thoroughly enjoyable heli flight. And the sim was running great and looking great as I cruised from Heathrow to London City in the Dodosim over FTX England. I even think my passengers false teeth would have remained in place when I touched down. Yay! Then the PC froze..completely. Had to power off. To cut a long story short I'm now doing battle with the Windows clean install freezing problem and working through the wealth of suggestions on the web. Wonder if I'll ever get it working again?...But I did get that one successful, wonderful heli flight in before it died. Glass half full or glass half empty, I ask myself?

A Few Random Screenies, Some Old, Some New
Nightime FSX outing from last year Hopping over something snowy Oh dear! I still remember this flight from a couple of years ago- I nipped out for a comfort break later on in this flight , during which I flew into a mountain. It was unforgivable.Don't tell anyone please! FS2004 (I think?) Jetstream in the desolate wastes of Aerosoft Antarctica. Got a soft spot for the Epic- Liking it in in P3D all over again!

Tristar at Unalakleet (I was just passing by....)
Lol! You've guessed my fiendish plan. And with a bit of luck there wonKt be enough runway to take off again!

Tristar at Unalakleet (I was just passing by....)
I was just mucking about in the JF Tristar and realised I was near Unalakleet so I dropped in for tea....as you do.

FSX allow the computer to do everything for me?
Reminds me of a little while ago when I was trying out X-Plane and accidentally selected 'AI flies Aircraft' from the drop down menu. Particularly unfortunate since I had no idea such a option existed. It probably only took about 30 seconds for my brain to realise what might be taking place, but you'd be amazed how many buttons you can press in a cockpit in half a minute when you're desperate...

It's Going To Be A Good Weekend!
Thanks! Been playing around this morning. I've been simming since FS98 days, and I've got to say I'm grinning from ear to ear with this! Added the Carenado Seneca and the Challenger 300 (That'll be QUITE enough money for a while) and I am, indeed, having a blast...love it. Graham

It's Going To Be A Good Weekend!
Got home from work to find my copy of X-Plane 10 had arrived. Yay! Spent Friday evening installing it whilst watching the Olympic opening ceremony. (who says I can't multi-task?). Left it defragging overnight when I finally crawled into bed at 1am, and I'm now looking forward to a whole weekend of getting to grips with it. I'm quite excited. Graham

1,000,000 hours later - FINALLY decent FPS in FSX!
I recently got to the stage of FSX running brilliantly and was filled with a strange urge to unplug the PC, shrink-wrap it and put it in a safe in a concrete bunker in case I mucked anything up! It was a momentary attack of 'Flight Sim Anxiety Syndrome' which I developed four years ago after reaching the same stage with FS9 and suffering a hard-drive failure the very next day. I love this hobby...I really do!Lol.
