  1. Hello, I recently bought a GTX 970 4GB graphics card for my PC as previously I didnt have a graphics card. My current PC specs are; GeForce GTX 970 Intel Core i5-4690k CPU 3.5ghz 8.00GB RAM Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium But I loaded up at EGCC on fsx it was overcast and I was using rex soft clouds and my weather settings were on detailed clouds and maximum cloud coverage but when I look at the clouds I went from locked 30 which I have it set as to 10-12 frames. Addons I was using were, UK2000 EGCC, FTX EU England, ORBX global, ASNext, REX Soft clouds, Precipit FX, Aerosoft Airbus A320/A321 Please help!
  2. Hello, I recently bought new hardware for my pc,but i dont know if i am performing good or bad. Specs: CPU:Intel 4770 GPU:AMD 280X RAM:8GB 1 HDD Drive No overclocking I get aprox. 20 fps with almost full graphics,in a pmdg 737 on schiphol, aerosoft scenery. I have traffic turned off. What do you think?
  3. Hi Everyone! I've recently returned back home to my sim computer after about 2 months of living away. When I booted it up, I did my typical "update everything" flow and updated Windows 10, SODE (with C++ Update), FS2Crew 747 QOTSII, FSDreamTeam (Live Update), and Orbx Libraries. Basically everything I could think of that wasn't already updated since April 2018. I then bought the much anticipated QW787 and installed it. I went to start a flight the next day from IAH-ANC using the PMDG 737 and my frames seemed LOCKED at 15. My rig usually gets around 25-30 if not more, especially at a less difficult airport like FSDreamTeam IAH, or at the very least seems smooth. We are at a complete loss for what to do. So far I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything I updated, updated my NVIDIA drivers, checked and double checked all of the settings in the sim and in NVIDIA, made sure that the SSD, GPU, CPU, and Graphics Cards were all running correctly, checked to make sure the overclock was still configured, and even trashed and rebuilt the shaders and the .cfg file. At the moment I am re-downloading P3D just in case I need to wipe everything and start over. - WHAT HAS HAPPENED?! T SPECS: I7 7700k OC to 4.4ghz, GTX 1080, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD drive
  4. Hello, I'd like to know how to install the SP1b update correctly.First I installed my standard NGX file, what comes next?Do I also have to install the SP1 update prior to the SP1b?Thx very much for helping me out.cheers
  5. Good afternoon,I have one more question, hope someone could help me out. When do I have to change my cfg file ( Bojote tweak site ), directly after finishing the SP2 update process, or after my complete addon installations?Do I have to overwrite the existing cfg file via copy & paste function?Or shall I copy all the parameters of the new bojote cfg file and transfer it to the existing and insert them into the old fsx cfg file? Thanks in advance.Kind regards from Santiago de Chile. / un saludo cordialTom
  6. Hello, my name is Tom and I have such problems to run FSX smoothly. Does anyone have tweaks, to remove the stutters perfectly?I have such good frames, also with addon aircrafts ( like PMDG NGX ) and Addon sceneries ( Aerosoft Mallorca X ) par example. But when I am taxiing around the airports i receive stutters, especially on addon airports in Virtual Cockpit mode or in wingview mode. ( Not only in taxiing, also when I fly in VC it is laggy ).With bufferpools setting to 0 I receive always graphic interruptions, like white flashing artifacts, flashing black stripes etc. Need your perfect tweaks to solve this problem. Does anyone have tweak suggestions? Thanks for any help, I did bojote tweaks and I don't know what else I can do! I have been used the fps limiter to 30 and in fsx to unlimited, but without fps limiter and the limiter in FSX set to unlimited, I get better results and a more smooth FSX, but not perfect. What could I do to fix that issue? My pc specs are: CPU: I7 2600K Clock speed: 5 GHZRAM: 16 GB 1600 MHZ1 TB HDD Samsung 7200 RPMGPU: Colorful GTX 580 1536 MB Thanks for helping me :-) Best regards, Tom
  7. Hi, hope the beacon lights and strobes will be a little bit better after the sp1, because in fact they're not really nice and realistic. The beacon lights normally on 737 NG aircrafts light up the engine cowls and the winglets ( reflection ). Hope they did it in the upcoming sp1 and the strobes could be a little bit brighter.Well, PMDG is my favourite addon creator!Best regards, Tom
  8. Hello all, I've been flying on FSX for quite some time now and have been enjoying it massively. I have noticed however, that a quite annoying problem occurs when I'm transitioning from cruise to approach in the areas stated in the title. Once I get below ~25,000 feet (usually) the game begins rather violent and disruptive stuttering. These stutters happen once every 2-3 seconds typically and can stop the game for as short as 1 second, and as long as 30-45. During this time, the game goes non-responsive, and my FSINN windows or any other open windows white-out before it all returns to normal and runs another whole 2 seconds  . Naturally, this is quite irritating and makes the game pretty much unplayable when flying into these areas, which are very unfortunately highly trafficked by my VAs of choice... Anyone with tips would be greatly appreciated!!! (P.S, I do not own payware versions of any of these airports, and the stutters happen even on the lightest aircraft like the Trike) Thank you!
  9. Hello I'm running FSX, thinking if it's possible to get those nice FPS with the PMDG 737 with complex scenery add-on? I think overclocking may help me here. My rig: CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k (New cooler needed, i know) MB: Gigabyte P67A UD4 B3 Ram: 8 Gb G.skill Trident DDR3 1600Mhz (8-8-8-24) GPU: XFX Radeon HD7770 1GB GDDR-5 Dual fan PSU: Corsair 450VX Psu Case: Cooler Master Silencio 650 My i7 is running up to 3.8 at stock speeds, but will overclocking close to 5 ghz improve my FPS much? Guldager
  10. Is there anyway to fix the lag caused by this airplane, all my other add on planes work fine, but this one always drops. I think that most of the lag is coming from the efd 1000. If you have a Bonanza A36 and know how to fix it, please tell me.
  11. Hello, I am looking into buying a laptop for fsx (please do not say that a laptop is not the best solution for fsx, but I cannot get a desktop as I travel a lot). I have found a laptop, and would like to know how many frames I will get when running fsx with payware planes, airports, ftx global, and rex. And, is the graphics card good enough? Laptop Specs: ASUS ROG GL551 Intel i7-4710HQ 2.5-3.5GHz 1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive 16GB GDDR5 RAM NVIDIA Geforce GTX 860M 2gb Thanks!
  12. Hello guys, would someone help me please to fix my issues? I receive always in every view, flashing artifacts and black vertical stripes, especially in clouds and in turns day and night. What could this be? Any suggestions? THX a lot, with kind regards Tommy
  13. Hello PMDG team, cannot wait any longer, when do you gonna release the update?Sorry for questioning once again these stupid questions, but I am a big fan of your work and can't wait any longer for this update. One question more, will the fps ( performance ) be better with this update???Pls respond. Thanks very much indeed.Kind regardsTom
  14. Hello, I have FS2Crew 2010 for MAddog for fs9 with SP3 installed and when I load the aircraft at any airport I have an average of 20 FPS in external view and 8 FPS in 2D cockpit view. Before installation I used to have an average of 80/ 30 FPS with MAddog and no FS2Crew. Is there any solution? Thanks in advance!! ps. Awesome addon
  15. I don't know how many of you have felt my pain - but I'm betting its a big number of fellow pilots! I have been grappling with terrible frames in FSX - even on a 'high end' system, and have spent innumerable hours on this - robbing me of sleep, sanity and peace of mind! The usual suspects were under the microscope, including NVidia Inspector, the GTX580 drivers, ******* (Mary and Joseph) Bojote's Venetubo site, and a lot of good advice from across the web and right here on AVSIM. SOMEHOW I finally got suspicious of Ultimate Terrain X (UTX) after reading about issues caused by "night lighting" and "cars" in said program. I tried the instant disable feature of UTX, and guess what? Nighttime frames jumped up to equal daytime frames, and at a complex airport like FSDreamteam's KLAX, no less! In my case, frames are far more important than seeing the blocky cars making square turns and driving across each other on the UTX 'improved' landclass map :Peace: Honestly, and this isn't meant as criticism, but when you see the freeways and traffic in XPlane 10 - am I the only guy who wants to throw my FSX system through the window? Now I will say that the SCENERY and the rest of the 'world' in XPlane10 has a LONG way to go - and PMDG needs to be made available for it as well - but since ACES disbanded, I am pinning my hopes for 'the next generation Flight Simulation platform' on XPLANE, possible XPLANE11? At any rate, I turned off ALL the night lighting features of UTX and the 'freeways and sideroads' vehicles - for whatever it's worth. Sidebar (off topic) Also solved the "disappearing traffic in Avilasoft's Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) by returning all Squawkbox 4 settings to DEFAULT, and disabling Ultimate Traffic 2. Since I fly "online" (VATSIM) 99.9% of the time, all the Ultimate Traffic 2 was good for was when I wanted to produce YouTube videos. In actual flight simulation - the UT2 traffic was useless to me - and the fact that somehow I messed up the settings in Squawkbox merely added more hours upon hours of troubleshooting before I got a wild idea to try returning all of the SB4 settings to 'default' and enabling mulitplayer mode. Joy! Hopefully these little nuggets may prove useful to those struggling with very poor frames in high-density scenery areas, and (in my case) having big time frames loss at NIGHT. It got so bad (before my 'discovery' today) that I had about given up flying at night into complex airports (payware airports) because of the stuttering and freeze ups - and on an i2600K at 4.7GHZ no less.
  16. Hello, I just got a new PC, but I'm not satisfied with the performance on fsx se, I thought I would get better frames. I'm using the pmdg 737 on default scenery and I'm getting in Europe 20 fps average in the cockpit with mouse fps drop. I tried to make some tweaks, but the result was not better than the original cfg. Could someone please help me tweak the cfg, as bojotes tweaking tool went offline ? 17. Hello everyone. I have a system with i7 2600k (not overclocked), 8Gb RAM and a Nvidia GT530 video card. My question is should I upgrade to GTX550-Ti video card? Do you think it would improve my fps even to some extent? Basically the only thing I do with this desktop is run fsx so other aspects concerning the video card can be ignored. Thanks in advance!
  18. I am new to AVSIM, thought i would post to see if anyone is having the same performance issues as i am or possibly a solution to my (hair pulling ) problem. My Frame rates are fluctuating from 7-30 FPS at any airport(addon scenery and default) any aircraft(addon aircraft or default) and do not go any higher than my record 31 fps  . My average is about 21 FPS in the air and 11 FPS on the ground. I have FSX gold which comes with Acceleration so both service packs are installed. My setup goes as follows: HERES THE KICKER- I7 2700K CPU OVERCLOCKED TO 4.8GHZ(SCRATCHING MY HEAD) ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 MOBO 1200W PSU 8GB VENGEANCE RAM @2133MHZ EVGA NVIDIA GTX 680 VIDEO CARD WITH 2GBS OF V MEMORY OCZ AGILITY 3 480GB SSD(ONLY FSX INSTALLED ON THIS) I am getting the same performance on fsx now as i did when my processor was not overclocked!!! In fact I recently restored default settings in my bios and for some wierd reason FSX loaded textures quicker without the overclock!! same frames though. what ive already tried: Ive already tried the ******* tweak! -after this i had crazy stutters, horrible FPS, and slow texture loading in the default 747! Ive already tried setting frames unlimited- no difference Ive already tried an External frame limiter- set at high 60 fps or above w/ the FSX limiter at 40 gives best results(31fps not locked goes down to 18 in some areas) also lots of shimmering and tearing when moving camera angles. Ive already tried changing things around in Nvidia Inspector- yeilds alright FPS but who wants to fly a plane that looks like FS 2000? Besides i have sufficient hardware that should handle it fine. The best results ive had and that is 30 FPS LOCKED with no stutters or shimmering was with Word Not Allowed's Hardware and Tuning guide. I would stick to these settings but with Antialiasing turned off i might as well have saved a few hundred bucks and not have built such an expensive machine, or spent all the money on addons to have the same look as freeware! I get frustrated when i hear that people are getting smooth 60fps and higher in their sims with alright hardware and im barely pulling 28 on a good day with high end components! there has to be something not right to have such a high overclock and no better performance. I even tried it at 5.0ghz and still no difference! Im sure there is a setting missing somewhere.
  19. Hello guys, which Ram do you prefer for a smooth FSX experience? Please write down the exactly description of the RAM, which you would be using for FSX.Thanks a lot.un saludo
  20. So I recently built a whole new Computer with i7-4790k and GTX960 and installed my copy of P3D plus several addons on it when then I noticed it framewise just didn't run as fast as I've seen on several YouTubers with almost the same specs. I figured that might be because they have overclocked to something like 4,6GHz to even 4,80GHz. I am really not liking the idea of overclocking my CPU mainly because my super cheap chassis wasn't made for that purpose yet I tried overclocking to 4,6GHz and to my surprise I got 2x more fps than before. I reduced the frequency to 4,5GHz and saw maybe 1-2 frames less but still very solid. Now I have it to 4,4GHz set and I see practically the same performance as before with 4,5GHz. I understand that with TurboBoost when all 4 cores are active it will go to only 4,2GHz (i think-not sure) but still that shouldn't have like half of the performance. Is it maybe something with P3D that fails with Intel TurboBoost?
  21. Hello guys, I have an i7 2600K overclocked and I have problems with the smoothness in FSX.I receive in every situations 30 FPS with addon sceneries and payware aircrafts ( par example the NGX from PMDG ), butit is laggy and not smooth enough. I used the external fps limiter set to 30, I have 30 fps but in a kind of tearing way. It really sucks. I have done so many tweaks, but I can't get it smoother. I set vsync to 1 (on) in my fsx. cfg file. What else can I do to fix it. Any constructive solutions? Look at his vid, that is smooth with 30 FPS! But I receive hickups a lot of tearing and it is not smooth like in his videos. mine at 30 fps is a dia show experience. :-( Have a look at it: http://youtu.be/e_MqRV2gHnk My pc specs: I7 2600K, overclocked to 5 GHZ16GB Ram CL9 1600MHZColorful GTX 580 1536 MB1 HDD Samsung 7200 rpm Thanks to all. Hi!I fly the NGX since a couple of months now and I am very impressed of the nice graphics up to date.I often fly at big sceneries (Paris Orly, Schiphol) from Aerosoft, but at this airports I only get about 10 FPS.With default planes my frames are much better.I already tweaked my FSX.cfg with Bojotes tweaking tool (http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html) but this did not help much.My system specs are the following:RAM: 6GBGraphics: ATI Radeon HD 4800 SeriesCPU: Intel Core i7 920 2,67 GHzHard Disk: 1000 GBIs there somebody with similar specs and good (15-18) frames?Have you any tips what to do to get better frames?Hope you can help meCheersDavid
  23. Hey, I was advised to install sweetfx onto my system a couple of days ago, and I did. It is a really great program. unfortunately my computer cannot handle it at all, so I dicided to get rid of it. I deleted all the files that were in the sweetfx folder. later I tried restarting FSX and it wouldnt start up. no error messages came up, it just wouldnt start. I had a hunch it had to do with something I deleted, so I reinstalled SweetFX and the problem was fixed. Now the only problem is, that my system cannot handle sweetfx and I need to get rid of it, but I dont know how without causing FSX to not work. Thanks! ~Remy
  24. Hello, Before buying a new computer for FSX, I wanted to ask if the i5-2500k and the Gtx 560 are good enough to get approximately 20 frames/second in the pmdg 777 on an addon airport like Aerosoft EDDB or any other airport in UK2000. I know tweaks are necessarily and I will surely overclock my cpu to at least 4.2 ghz. Every comment is appreciated !
