  1. Hi Guys! It’s my first post in the forum and i’m struggling with having a new laptop which are MSI GF65 and Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, i couldn’t find any posting relating to this topic, hope to get some help here...Specification:MSI GF 65Processor: I7-9750H @2.6GHz (Max boost to 4.5GHz) 6 CoresGraphic Card: GeForce RTX 2060 (6GB)SSD: 512 GBRAM: 16GBROG Zephyrus G14Processor: Ryzen 7-4900HS @3.0GHz (Max boost to 4.3GHz) 8 CoresGraphic Card: GeForce RTX 2060 MAX-Q (6GB) SSD: 1TBRAM: 16GBI noticed that more simmer prefer Intel processor compared to AMD because Intel’s single core performance & clock rate is way more better than AMD. But when it comes to Gaming Laptop, I’ve no idea that whether cores really matter to P3D in FPS performance. These two are my options, there’d much price difference between them, but 1 with I7 based clock rate 2.6GHz, another with AMD based clock rate 3.0GHz which is more nearer to the requirement of V4 ( @3.5GHz).Which laptop should I go for? My target FPS is 20FPS or just able to smoothly launch ORBX, Active Sky and PMDG...Thank you,Alester Tok
  2. I decided to install the Milviz C310R and the GNS on the laptop too. It was working perfectly on P3D v4.5+ in the desktop. Installing it again on the laptop running FSX Steam turned out to be a big mistake. I had forgotten how to set-up GNS on the desktop. I must have been lucky installing it on the desktop because now I can't get the GNS to work on the laptop. I tried to remember how I did it on the desktop by going through the settings and now both are messed up. Either the 530 or the 430 would show up but not both. The Milviz C310 Redux can accommodate both the 530 and the 430. In setting up the GNS, what value should I select under these fields? Window03 Window04 VCockpit01 Thank you. https://www.dropbox.com/s/8jozwn9sedye4cu/RXP selection.jpg?raw=1
  3. It is possible to configure Active Pause to another key/key combination using Keyboard configuration: Controls>Keyboard>Menu>Toggle Active Pause. I chose Cntrl-Shft-P. Be sure you have the Filter set to "All."
  4. So, I had x plane 11 on my laptop: CPU: 1.8 GHz RAM: 8gb 750gb HDD And I just switched it over to my desktop: CPU: 3.8 GHz RAM: 8gb 1tb HDD, newly formatted and a brand new install of windows 10 * My desktop does not have an upgraded graphics card nor does my laptop * All settings are on minimum I have not run any tests on my desktop yet to see the usage of the cpu and other items. I dont believe my cpu is overheating because everything else runs perfect. This just doesnt make sense to me. I can actually fly a plane on my laptop with a slower processor, but not on my desktop with the same RAM and nearly twice the processing power. Any ides are welcome. Id rather not shell out extra cash for a graphics card, but I might be willing to purchase more RAM.
  5. As you may see in my specs, my laptop is not exactly a good one; however, is what I've got for FS2004. After a friend told me what he did to his 2008 Dell laptop, I'm thinking about replacing my DVD drive with an SSD (I've only used my drive 6 times in 4 years). The caveat: somehow Toshiba disabled SATA3 for my laptop, with no solution in sight, so I'm stuck with SATA2 (half of SATA3 speeds). My budget is a modest one; in the US I think I may be getting all what I need (SSD + ODD caddy) for less than USD 80. Currently, my laptop has a 640 GB 5400 rpm HDD. Taking all this into mind, do you think is it worthwhile?
  6. Hello everyone Last Tuesday a power overload blew out my computer loosing everything I had there. Since I am beginning the University next year I am thinking on moving to a laptop which can render video, run Photoshop, some games, web browsing, and run FSX with PMDG's 737, 747, and 777, Aerosoft's Airbus, REX, and some add on scenery (FlyTampa Saint Marteen, LatinVFR Guatemala, Costa Rica, Tegucigalpa) So I have 4 options: Asus VivoBook S15: Core i5 7200u GT 940MX 8GB DDR4 RAM 1TB HDD DELL Inspiron 15 5565: AMD A12-9700P Integrated Radeon R7 graphics 8GB DDR4 RAM 1TB HDD ASUS X556UA: Core i5 7200U Intel HD620 graphics 8GB DDR4 RAM 1TB HDD 8GB DDR4 RAM HP Pavilion 14-al001la Core i5 6200U Intel HD 520 graphics 8GB DDR4 RAM 1TB HDD 8GB DDR4 RAM So which do you think will be a good decision?
