Help with Gaming Laptop in UK please!

Featured Replies

Just a quick input from me, apologies I haven't read the entire thread so I may be repeating what others have said.

I've used laptops for flightsimming for more than ten years now so have fairly extensive experience.

In the UK the highest spec gaming laptops I've seen available are from PC Specialist. They are expensive.

You've got some other companies like Chillblast, Overclockers UK and Nova PC who will all provide you with a bespoke gaming laptop.

I'd advise staying away from Alienware. I had one pretty poor customer experience ordering a laptop from them in 2007 - they took £3,000 of my money and three months later I still had no laptop and no idea when I would get it. In 2008 I purchased an M15X from them and whilst it was a very fast laptop the build quality was pretty poor and nowhere near commensurate with the premium price you pay for Alienware.

The best experience I have had with gaming laptops has been with MSI's off the shelf models. They have good specs, good build quality and excellent bang for buck. You can get them from various retailers in the UK including Scan, Overclockers, Box and Amazon.
