  1. Hi All. I have a problem. As seen in the (hopefully) attached screenshot, I am getting hugely fuzzy/pixelated/bad (how else can I describe them?) textures. This happens to the trees all the time and most of the ground when the land detail textures are on, compared to not as much when they are off. I have been trying settings with all sorts of things including the graphics card and the in game settings but nothing seems to work. I have recently started with a clean install of FSX which would have cleared any other problems I may have had. One other thing which I think is the problem, I got FSPS's Xtreme FSX PC editor to do stuff with the cfg but I cannot for the life of me find out which setting it is to remove these ghastly textures. Grr. My pc was running this stuff fine before. In the screenshot you seen Orbx PNW with Orbx trees activated, you might see a bit of Fall City stuff and the default Cessna. Thanks, Matt EDIT. Pic now attached, see? I knew it would go wrong.
  2. I would like to introduce software add-on that monitors Flight Simulator changes and performance: http://secure.simmarket.com/simsettingsmanager-fsx-p3d.phtml
  3. I reinstalled the whole simulator an it got even worse. I tried flying on default scenery and nothing is loading, Not that they take long to load, no they even don't want to load. My sliders are on max and my settings on the AMD Control Center are all on default. I haven't touched my my fsx.CFG file yet. It's not the first time I have reinstalled fsx but this is the first time that this happens..
  4. Merry Christmas Eve to all. I didn't think that this fit in the hardware section. I received my new 2560X1440 monitor today and hooked it up. I opened FSX and selected this resolution from the menu, 2560x1440x32, and noticed that I had two black sections on the left and right. I was under the impression that 1560x1440 was 16:9 aspect ratio, and I am fairly certain that the last monitor I was using was 16:9 aspect ratio which had no black sections on the side. When reading about FSX CFG I read that, I think its called wide screen, should be changed to true. I'm pretty sure I have not done this yet and will try it. I'm just confused that if they are the same aspect ration why is one showing black sections??? Also, when I change wide screen to true, is there a section of the CFG that I need to type in the new resolution, 2560x1440? I wouldn't think so since it already showed up in FSX Setting. By the way, I know a little about changing CFG and editing through Notepad, but am very much an amateur at this, so a child's explanation would be very helpful. Any advice is welcomed and have a merry Christmas everyone!
  5. Good afternoon,I have one more question, hope someone could help me out. When do I have to change my cfg file ( Bojote tweak site ), directly after finishing the SP2 update process, or after my complete addon installations?Do I have to overwrite the existing cfg file via copy & paste function?Or shall I copy all the parameters of the new bojote cfg file and transfer it to the existing and insert them into the old fsx cfg file? Thanks in advance.Kind regards from Santiago de Chile. / un saludo cordialTom

  7. Hi all. I'm so close to having all of my FSX.CFG settings to perfect, but I'm still having some slight issues with AntiAliasing. There's a decent screenshot dump down below, I'll post my FSX.CFG in the comments, system stats are below, and screenshot from Nvidia Inspector. I have read most of the start-up guides and configuration guides, and have done the FSX.CFG generator, just to get that out of the way. I'm just missing a few small details, that must be leading to some of this jaggedness... I also am using DX10. If you guys could help me get it running just that much more smoother, it would be awesome. I'd appreciate it. I've seen some kickass screenshots in FSX here, and on , so some of ya'll have awesome setups! System Stats: Windows 8.1 Intel i7 clocked at 3.9 GhZ 16 GB of RAM Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 1 TB SATA 7200 HDD (yes, no SSD) I am currently using 2 monitors, which I think could be causing some of the issues, since the picture looks a little better on one monitor than the other (the other is a TV connected via HDMI). Planes: A2A Piper Cherokee 180 Carenado Cirrus SR22 Carenado Socata TBM850 Addons: REX4 Texture Screenshots (click to zoom in on each): http://imgur.com/a/rvG2B Notes: * Look at how the lines aren't straight and clear around the instruments. * The paint lines on the side of the aircraft are all jagged, and the wing rivets are as well. * The screenshots of the Piper taken at the airport are on Monitor 1, the rest are on TV 2. * The Carenado's PFD & MFD aren't crisp. I've seen some screenshots where they were very crisp, ex. the Phenom. * Look at the wing lines in the TBM850. They're all jagged, so are the lines on the SR22. 8. Hi there, I am new to the forums and am very sorry if this question has been asked before but I could not find it. When I purchased my 747 package I had trouble getting it to work due to a corrupt cfg file. I ended up submitting a support ticket and the guys at PMDG sorted it out for me. My question is that if I was to reinstall fsx which I would like to do would my PMDG 747 work after reinstalling the package or would the cfg file be corrupt once again making me have to try and get the PMDG guys to fix it again? Thanks in advance.
  9. Ive installed FSX on a seperate drive (128GB SSD) called the F drive. Opposed to the normal C drive in hopes of making the sim run faster. However, i cant find the cfg. I know under normal circumstances, it would be under appdata, etc. However, when i installed FSX on the F drive, there was nothing currently on that drive, not one folder. I created a folder called Microsoft Flight Simulator X and thats what the game was installed into. Where would i go about finding the .cfg? Would i have to add a new one? The game runs fine, so im sure there has to be one somewhere on that drive. Thanks- Matt
  10. Hello, I just got a new PC, but I'm not satisfied with the performance on fsx se, I thought I would get better frames. I'm using the pmdg 737 on default scenery and I'm getting in Europe 20 fps average in the cockpit with mouse fps drop. I tried to make some tweaks, but the result was not better than the original cfg. Could someone please help me tweak the cfg, as bojotes tweaking tool went offline ? 11. When does FSX action manual changes (i.e. in a text editor) to the FSX CFG file, and also Nvidia driver configuration changes via Nvidia Inspector? E.g. are CFG file changes loaded into FSX as soon the file is saved or do you have to restart the flight or even the whole sim to see the effect (and similarly with Nvidia Inspector)? I've always assumed that FSX loads the CFG file internally when you start the sim, and so any manual changes to the file take effect only after re-starting the sim when the file can be reloaded again. With Nvidia Inspector I'd assumed that changes to the driver configuration are executed when you click the "Apply changes" button on the profile page and hence on-the-fly in FSX. Also, is there a manual for Nvidia Inspector anywhere? I'm using v1.9.6.8. I'm currently tweeking my setup and wanted to be sure I'm not wasting my time with unnecessary restarts of the sim, or not seeing graphics changes because they needed a sim restart! Thanks in advance for your replies.
  12. Hi all, Everytime i start up my FSX, i get the following message "SCENERY.CFG file error. Invalid Remote scenery path in scenery Area.126. Click OK to continue." Picture of the message attached. What can i do to fix this? I have thought about reinstalling FSX but am scared of losing any previous scenery/aircraft i may of downloaded. Any help would be appreciated.
  13. Hi, sorry for my bad english. Today, trying to tweak my FSX again, i set some configs on Nvidia inspector and also in my CFG. I have never used DX10 Before. I try using an cfg that i found on internet to see if that give me some extras fps, but no, so i delete it. This CFG had the DX10 active. Next to that, i try to build a new cfg. When FSX started, the screen when the aircraft preview were was black. I tried everithing, deleting my cfg, deleting the Shaders, the Nvidia inspector config, etc. But nothing worked. I'M DESPERATE! For me, unistalling everything and reinstalling isnt an option. I have a lot of freeware and payware addons, so, that would be VERY hard and tedious. PLEASE HELP!!
