Hey guys, Some days ago I uninstalled P3D v2.4 and installed 2.5. Then I installed the PMDG 777 and some Addons, and the performace is more worse than in 2.4. I dont have so much fps as in 2.4 and I dont have any smoothness. What can I do? Hardware: i7 4770K GTX760 8GB Ram Win7 64-Bit Cheers

Hello all, I've been flying on FSX for quite some time now and have been enjoying it massively. I have noticed however, that a quite annoying problem occurs when I'm transitioning from cruise to approach in the areas stated in the title. Once I get below ~25,000 feet (usually) the game begins rather violent and disruptive stuttering. These stutters happen once every 2-3 seconds typically and can stop the game for as short as 1 second, and as long as 30-45. During this time, the game goes non-responsive, and my FSINN windows or any other open windows white-out before it all returns to normal and runs another whole 2 seconds  . Naturally, this is quite irritating and makes the game pretty much unplayable when flying into these areas, which are very unfortunately highly trafficked by my VAs of choice... Anyone with tips would be greatly appreciated!!! (P.S, I do not own payware versions of any of these airports, and the stutters happen even on the lightest aircraft like the Trike) Thank you!

This is a forum of my findings with testing FSX and CrossfireX. Posted a few days ago about this, but the stuttering got worse in P3DV4, and I did not change any settings. Tried disabling Dynamic lighting, did not do anything Hyperthreading is already on FXAA I tried on and off, didnt change anything Tried triple buffering on and off, didnt change anything tried Vsync on and off, didnt change a thing So obviously it is not that Getting 20-30fps, notice it most at FSDT JFK, but still happens in the air a bit as well..not as much as when on the ground. Any help?

First of all, I'm definitely not one of these guys who flies published approaches with VOXatc in my 10 monitor garage setup. So yes, I understand that fsx can be much much more real in terms of ATC than it is. I've read a fair amount of real and fsx atc phrasology and have a general idea as to what the real world is sort of like. That said, my question is this: When you create an IFR flight in fsx and you use the default atc, it more or less tells you what to do. "Climb to.....descend to.....expect vectors for....yadda yadda. It's very procedural and if you know how to fly an ILS approach you're pretty much set. Is that what it would be like for a small airplane/private pilot type person in real life? When do yo use all those STAR approaches and published approaches etc? I can't seem to get a straight-for-idiots explanation for any of that stuff. Anyway, The question is: If I use the ATC for a little vfr flight in a small aiplane; is that a somewhat real process? And...when do real world small aircraft pilots use approach charts of any kind? Why would you need them when the ATC simply tells you what to do every step of the way. This is totally Noobish I realize. Just curious.

Hi All! Happy New Year! Ok, Well my problem is that I am having extremely bad performance in FSX (For this Spec anyway!) My Computer ; i7 2600K @ 3.4GHz (Stock Speed) GTX 570 8GB RAM 1TB HDD Windows 7 64Bit So As you can see, My computer is pretty good and should be able to Run FSX with add-ons easily and I don't expect to install every add-on into FSX and for it to run smoothly, I just mean having good FPS (30+) with the PMDG 737NGX. Well, This is NOT the case. I have FSX installed, I installed the 737NGX And I get very poor FPS (20-25 MAX). This is only with the FSX settings On "High" Which Still, Shouldn't be a problem for an i7. So I thought, Ok, Well I can try some other things, So First off I tried bjotes FSX CFG tweak, A little bit better, Still not steady at 30 FPS. Then I tried an External FPS Limiter, Limited it to 30 FPS, And set FSX to Unlimited FPS, Again Better, Not steady at 30 FPS, Around the same 20-25 maximum. I also bought FSX Booster on my previous computer, So I thought I'd give that a go, But...Nope, Still unsatisfactory. Now In case you are wondering, This is NOT just with the PMDG 737NGX, This is with other add-on's too, PMDG MD11 Etc, Just not satisfying at all to be flying these aircraft at below 30 FPS with the settings on High on a computer that cost me 1k. Does anyone know what the problem is here? I have read about people getting great performance with FSX, i7 and a lower graphics card with the NGX, REX Installed etc. Help is Appreciated! Kriss
