Hey Guys, I recently purchased the 737NGX 800/900 and I'm amazed by it! Everything is running as well as I had expected and more! However, one thing really bugs me, and that is the wing animations being so segmented. For example, when landing the aircraft, as the speed brakes deploy, the movement is almost like a "slide show" as the spoilers go up, instead of a smooth, continuous motion. This same problem is seen with aerilon movement, flap deployment and wing flex. Its letting my FSX and 737 experience down a bit, as I usually average 30 - 50fps in even the most built up areas, so to see such a "lagged" effect on the aircraft looks pretty horrible compared to the rest of the sim... Any advice on how to improve this? Cheers, Carl

You know how when you use mouse-look (shift O) in VC mode, it has a beautiful, fluid movement to it much like TrackIR? But when you use the hat switch to pan it has a very robotic, rigid 'fixed' way of moving that feels mechanical and crude? Is there any way to make is so that the hat switch looking behaves like the mouse-look panning? Fluid and more Human like? I tried a tweak that involved finding the cameras cnfg but the changes didn't make any difference. I"m using Win 7 so don't have the c/documents and settings/ et.etdc path. Rather its the c/users/app data/roaming-local etc. path. Anyway, if there's a way to do this I'd be greatly appreciative. Please be detailed in your description using windows 7 paths if possible. Thank you so much!

I was at a friend of mine who bought OpusFSX for live weather and trying to get me on board as well, the first thing I noticed was the VC zoom using the space bar and mouse was not smooth anymore. Well after some fiddling with options and using grep (for searching inside cfg files) I was able to figure out that every time OpusFSX is launched it updates the cameras.cfg file located next to the fsx.cfg and overwrites the Virtual Cockpit camera definition changing the SmoothZoomTime parameter from 2.0 to 0.0 which leads to no zoom smoothing in the VC. Can the developer comment on why this is done and if there is a way to prevent this change from happening if I am only planning on using OpusFSX for weather?

Hi simmers, In several videos you can clearly see a smooth spinning engine. Please watch this as an example (0:08) > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skQGJRvuBFY&feature=youtube_gdata_player. But my 737NGX's engine isn't rotating smooth at all. Is it a tweak or mod or something? PS: sorry for my English.

Hello guys, I have an i7 2600K overclocked and I have problems with the smoothness in FSX.I receive in every situations 30 FPS with addon sceneries and payware aircrafts ( par example the NGX from PMDG ), butit is laggy and not smooth enough. I used the external fps limiter set to 30, I have 30 fps but in a kind of tearing way. It really sucks. I have done so many tweaks, but I can't get it smoother. I set vsync to 1 (on) in my fsx. cfg file. What else can I do to fix it. Any constructive solutions? Look at his vid, that is smooth with 30 FPS! But I receive hickups a lot of tearing and it is not smooth like in his videos. mine at 30 fps is a dia show experience. :-( Have a look at it: http://youtu.be/e_MqRV2gHnk My pc specs: I7 2600K, overclocked to 5 GHZ16GB Ram CL9 1600MHZColorful GTX 580 1536 MB1 HDD Samsung 7200 rpm Thanks to all. Hello, my name is Tom and I have such problems to run FSX smoothly. Does anyone have tweaks, to remove the stutters perfectly?I have such good frames, also with addon aircrafts ( like PMDG NGX ) and Addon sceneries ( Aerosoft Mallorca X ) par example. But when I am taxiing around the airports i receive stutters, especially on addon airports in Virtual Cockpit mode or in wingview mode. ( Not only in taxiing, also when I fly in VC it is laggy ).With bufferpools setting to 0 I receive always graphic interruptions, like white flashing artifacts, flashing black stripes etc. Need your perfect tweaks to solve this problem. Does anyone have tweak suggestions? Thanks for any help, I did bojote tweaks and I don't know what else I can do! I have been used the fps limiter to 30 and in fsx to unlimited, but without fps limiter and the limiter in FSX set to unlimited, I get better results and a more smooth FSX, but not perfect. What could I do to fix that issue? My pc specs are: CPU: I7 2600K Clock speed: 5 GHZRAM: 16 GB 1600 MHZ1 TB HDD Samsung 7200 RPMGPU: Colorful GTX 580 1536 MB Thanks for helping me :-) Best regards, Tom

The sim was running very smooth except for frequent 2-3 frame stutters. This was annoying me so to track down the problem I turned down all the sliders and any display settings that would reduce FPS. I turned off every thing I could. I then flew in circles and let the sim settles into a constant bank and pitch and watch for the stutters. Every 5-10 seconds I would get the small stutters (or long frames). I have a R290X video card and a 4790K. I figured at the lowest settings I should be able to fly a 360 without the slightest stutter. I couldn’t get rid of the stutter so I uninstalled P3D then reinstalled and flew circles with the stock P3D install. I had the exact same stutters. Here is how I got rid of this problem. I have 2 X 4GB of Corsair ram (CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9) and it was running at 1866 using the XMP profile. When I upped the frequency to 2133 and ran P3D the stutters were gone. As a side note, when I say upped the frequency that’s all I did, I left the timing settings on auto and let the sabertooth z87 take care of the rest. I reinstalled all the usual add-ons and I can now run P3D at very high settings on a 4K monitor(the stuttering was the same on the 4K or a single 1920X1080 monitor) It seems the ram couldn’t supply the 4790K CPU fast enough. Now I can zoom all over the place using one 4K monitor and two 1920X1080 monitors (one on top of the other to match the 4K height and placed to the left of the 4K) with the over-clocked ram. This might be something for people with stutters to look at. There is a long history of discussions of ram frequency and latency, I didn’t think it applied to todays computers but I guess it still matters.

Okay so I've been having serious stutter issues for the past week or so. When flying with any type of clouds my frames would drop considerably. I am using both REX 4 and ASN so i tried turning the settings down for both of them. Nothing changed. Today I installed Nvidia Driver 353.30 as a clean install and deleted my P3D shaders folder. I went and started up a flight at Taxi2Gate KMCO with the QW757 and active sky next weather running. My frames went from 27-31 when sitting on the ground to 48-55 while sitting on the ground and went from around 16-23 fps with massive stutters while flying through or looking at big clouds to not losing any fps. This was just a post to help anyone else having similar problems or people who would maybe like to see fps out of there sim. I'm using P3D v3.1 by the way.
