  1. Hi Ben, Is there Afcad files being released for the Greek series? Cheers Miles
  2. Hi Ben, Absolute loved the videos and having fun flying in and out of EHAM. Thank you, I hope this is enough success that you do another. Two questions. 1. You mention an AFCAD coming up, any news on that 2. Parked at H3 (Easyjet) stand when loading passengers there was no visible passengers or bus. It maybe a limitation of GSX.... Once again cheers mate first rate. Miles
  3. Mine worked using Shift + 6. This was after the update. Some people as in me had this as a bug on the original download.
  4. Thank you I totally missed that one. Smiley
  5. Hey guys, actually enjoying this aircraft immensely. Has anyone worked out how to open the doors without the standard bindings. Mine are all off so no exits can be opened. Have they implemented a way of opening the doors or is it the standard bindings that come as default. Cheers Smiley
  6. I was thinking the same but maybe not as big announcements every one thinks, the announcement is that will come across the whole fleet not just the 748 that they showed a few months ago. PR is wonderful. Cheers Miles
  7. Reading all the comments and I have no idea only RD and PMDG know. 1. Can't be an aircraft would have announced by now with the length of development. 2. Home cockpit or cockpit builders suite too small a market - And not at the Flightsim expo 3. MD11 - Nah sorry although I wish they would. 4. EFB - Big possibility along the similar lines to the Flight 1 GTN series - That would make sense 5. New sim, they cant be that stupid P3D and XP11 only platform moving forward. 6. Descent ATC package - Can only dream. My guess EFB, much needed in the cockpit, right timeline and launched across their project range come June. Every aircraft they do uses one except the DC-6. Yep that's it an EFB. Although the ATC if they got it right would be a close second. Cheers Miles
  8. Hi Guys, Another what do you think of the system that I am looking at getting over the weekend. Primarily for P3D V3 and onwards to V4 Intel i7-6800K 3.4GHZ Asrock X99 Taichi Motherboard G-Skill DDR4 Trident Z3200-32GB 2 x 16GB Red MSI GTX1080TI 11GB Coolmaster V850 Gold 80+ 850W PSU CM Hyper 212 LED Turbo Red Cooler SAmsung 960 EVO 250GB M2 for main operating system 3TB of additional space non SSD as I understand does not really make a difference Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers Smiley
  9. The only way I can get the 747M (using KLM) to start correctly is 1,4,3,2 with no autostart. Loving the differences between the models. Cheers Miles
  10. Ben, What can I say, sitting hear in Sydney Australia and Episode 2 is worth the price on its own. Just got rid of my stutters on P3D. Probably everyone knew but me but episode two is great information. Thanks buddy. 3 and 4 tonight.
  11. Anyone hear of a YPPH Perth Airport in development? Next week a big announcement with Qantas who will be finally running the new longest route in the world Perth to London when the 789's hit town. The old airport is so outdated and missing a whole terminal with Virgin Australia moving onto the International side. Looks like ORBX will not do and understand that the area could be another KSEA and VAS hogger. Would be good if someone could tackle the airport but any news would be good Cheers Miles
  12. A sad day. Thank you Tom for everything you have given us over the years. Thoughts are with the Allensworth family. Miles Harrison Sydney Australia
  13. Had the same problem and if I save the panel situation with a door open (passenger) it equals out the pressure quickly and the problem soon resolves itself. Cheers Miles Harrison
  14. I have Fs Captain running and not noticing any drop in frames with the 773. My only problem is FS Captain does not recognise I have passengers on board. Every flight it says 0 passengers. Be interested if you have a B773 profile that works then I can test it out. I know that the FS Captain guys are working on a fix for this and other aircraft talking to them on their forum. Regards Miles
  15. Works fine on mine, just tried it and able to download. Miles
  16. Apologies if this has been asked before, cannot find a straight answer. Okay been simming for 30+ years, yes I know, going back to Commodore 64 days. Anyways, I have a simple I hope question. Would like to start porting over to Prepar3d from FSX. Questions:- 1. Does it make a difference what license you buy, academic v professional? 2. Have most of the usual payware addons and noticed on A2A you pay more for the Cherokee 180 in professional than you do in Academic 3. PMDG have announced that you may pay more for different licenses 4. Does it matter what license you get if you are a recreational simmer? What will I really miss out on if I only get a Academic license? Hopefully a quick and simple question and then "she who must be obeyed will allow me to purchase". And I have a very quick and up to date rig so frame rates I am not worried about. Thanks Miles
  17. Love this topic. Mine in no particular order. L1011 First Flight on Courtline, Pink and Orange livery in 1973. B727-200 B737-200/300/400/500/700/800 B747-200/400 B757-200 B767-200/300 B777-200/300 MD-82 DC10-30 Fokker 50/100 BAE146-300 Concorde - Yes actually flew on one from Glasgow to Heathrow in the old BA Shuttle days and our B757 went tech. They put us on one that was training at Prestwick. Amazing performance but of course no supersonic flight. DC9-15 A300-600 A320-100/200 A330-200 SB340B Grumman AA5 - Got my PPL on this C152 C172 PA28 Learjet 60 - Lucky enough to be invited onto a demo flight at Farnborough. I think it was 1982. Living in Australia now, spend most of my time on Virgin Australia B737-800's. Must have flown on this type at least 200 times. Cheers Miles
  18. From day one I have been using a multitude of programs such as FPS Limiter as in the past it has helped me overcome OOM with PMDG NG and other payware aircraft. I was still getting OOM with PMDG especially upon landing, thankfully landed successfully but scenery all over the place. I read a post boo hooing any such applications apart from HiMem fix recently. Today I did two flight's from Narita to Hong Kong and Hong Kong to RKSI both with addon payware sceneries and AI at 100% (over 1,300 airlines in AI) and not one OOM. Did not even close down between flights. For me PMDG B772LR works best by using no add on frame limiter/addon/boost performance. Maybe all those who are getting OOM should just fire up without trying to complicate things. I may have just found a sweet spot but actually believe that PMDG have suited the PMDG B772LR to the limitations of FSX. Happy pilot and know that others may not have the success I have had today but worth a try. Cheers Miles (Next leg FDX to Moscow)
  19. Totally agree with the insane price, $50 AUD in Australia, that's half a PMDG B777, two Aerosoft sceneries etc. etc. etc. Have just bought as imperative to have a decent RJAA especially with the PMDG B777. We do have a choice though and I am lucky I can afford unlike a lot of people. We can only vote by not getting out your credit card. Their sales will be the true test. And knowing my luck will see it discounted this time next year due to the high price.... Anyway, if too expensive then don't buy. Will load in the morning and see what I know will be an expensive luxury.... Miles
  20. Its going to be a big week. PC Aviator has just released YPAD Adelaide INTL for FSX. It works with default FSX and also Orbx (thank you finally). And for those awaiting PMDG 777, Emirates fly there using a B773 daily (ooops no B773 straight away). Fly in there often in real life and a busy little Intl airfield. So YPAD, PMDG B777 and a decent flight planner in one week. Next FlyTampa will also release YSSY in August......maybe not but I am sure worth the wait. Here is the link, am down loading now so cannot comment yet but thank you PC Aviator for supporting Australian airfields. http://www.pcaviator.com.au/store/ Cheers Miles
  21. Not usually one for pre ordering unless of course someone like PMDG, but have faith in my past experience with Pheonix and their new guise of Blackbox and the Airbus A319/A320 that is due for release hopefully in the next 24 hours. Any one else ordered it so far? It looks on their facebook page great and we have been missing a descent Airbus in FSX. My faith is in the Airbus they produced for FS9 which still holds up today in dynamics. Not perfect but for a product released years ago was ground breaking at the time. Time will tell though... Miles
  22. Was surfing tonight and looked up what are the top 20 airports in the world and found this. Hope I can post this link? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World's_busiest_airports_by_passenger_traffic Anyway whether have not noticed that we flightsimmers are missing a only a few in FSX. Whilst FSX was always talked about as being your VFR platform recent and major changes has made it probably the major heavy iron choice as well. Lets be honest after so many years of not changing over from FS9, PMDG, GSX and the support of so many great payware and freeware people has finally in 2012 made FSX worth the pain, if you have the right computer. So my question is, anyone know if anyone is developing the following in order of busiest passenger airport in the world? 2. Beijing, China - Was a good freeware one for FS9 5. Tokyo, Japan - Detailed in FSX but not a true scenery yet. 13. Dubai, UAE - Once PMDG release their B777 alot of guys will want this one 20. Shanghia, China - Still abig airport. All the other top 30 have a great payware or freeware but the above four would be great. Especially no. 5 and 13. Oh and while you amazing designers are at it, who is looking at the B787. Appreciate you knowledge or answers as I may be missing some great addons. Cheers Miles
