  1. I've tried shifting the camera view backwards with ezdok, but as soon as I unpaus trackir it just overrides ezdok and puts my nose back against the wind shield.
  2. Right, back into the box it goes. It's way more easier to use the bloody mouse and space bar to pan than it is to use trackir, can't get it working for me and it's causing too much agro.
  3. I have my trim wheel mapped by two buttons on my joystick and they are mapped through fsx settings...
  4. I just cannot get to grips with it at all :(
  5. I will take a look at the forum when I get home, just took a quick glance now and there's some interesting posts on there. Thanks for your help and support guys, really is appreciated.
  6. Thanks for the help guys, I am still at work but finsh at 2 so I am going to spend the afternoon trying to get used to it and set it up right. I thought it was just a plug and play type thing, didn't realise it required a lot of setup and tweaking - that has been the only annoying thing, usually I don't get home until 7pm after work, and some nights 8:30pm, so the little time I have I just want to fly and not spend it trying to set things up, but like I said I will stick with it, I've also purchased ezdok as I heard ezdok and trackir work good together so I'm going to try and set it up when I get home. Dan
  7. I will give it a try and feedback when I get home. Is there a profile you would reccomend to use for fsx?
  8. Guys I can't get to grips with this at all.... what you're saying to do sort of works, but then if I turn my head I sink right down into my seat and end up as low as the control column... I can't keep at it for more than 5 minutes because my head starts to hurt :( Maybe it's not gonna be for me, I was hoping it wouldn't require so much hassle to setup... best get the returns number from where I ordered it :(
  9. I've zoomed out within fsx using the - key, is there another way to zoom out?
  10. Here is what I see with trackir It's way too close to the window, and I can't see the instruments unless I look down and it strains my eyes a lot. I want to be able to see like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v55DFfrBTrU Also what do you mean by the 'reset view' button? Do you mean the centre button? I have set my joystick up buttons for centre, pause, precision and profile but haven't come across a reset view?
  11. Hmm I have been trying that but doesn't seem to work for me
  12. So I decided to get trackir with the regular vector clip, it arrived today and I've been trying to set it up this afternoon. I have had some frustration though, as trackir seems to put the view right on the cockpit window. I have tried zooming out within fsx but still if I want to see the instruments I have to look down and it strains my eyes. I'm not sat right up on the sensor, I'm sat a good 60cm away, and have it all aligned and centred properly, but when I look forward at centre I cans see out of the window and mastercaution/fire but as I said to see the instruments I have to look down and this is annoying especially on takeoff and landing. Has anybody else using trackir with the ngx noticed this and can anybody help me fix it so just looking forward shows out the window and the instruments in view. I've tried adjusting the camera etc but just can't seem to fix the problem. Many thanks, Danny
  13. Ah okay - is it possible to edit the predetermined distance at all? Regards, Dan
  14. Hi there, is it possible to reduce the amount of space RC leaves between myself and AI aircraft, I don't like how it makes them hold quite far behind me when I am say for example holding short at the runway. Kind Regards, Dan
  15. Is it possible to brighten my taxi light on the ngx? The landing lights are fine it's just on a night because I use an ENB mod the taxi light doesn't illuminate the ground at all so I am struggling to see the taxi markings. Kind Regards, Dan
  16. Hey Jim, you should be good to go my friend! :) You'll get so much enjoyment in learning how she flies :) Hope you are back in good health. Kind Regards, Danny
  17. Okay, no worries. :) Thanks for that information buddy.
  18. Ah okay that's interesting, so there wouldn't really be a way to reproduce it in the simulator?
  19. Was reading an article today about the A380 and about a feature it has where when they test the flight controls before takeoff they have a feature so that when they test the rudder the nose wheel doesn't turn to help prevent it being damaged. Is this the case on the 737-800 also or when they test the rudder does the nose wheel turn? Kind Regards, Dan
  20. You're going to spend that much money on a new PC, then a pretty big amount of money on the NGX, and then you're going to sit in the 2D cockpit? The ngx is the price it is partly because of the amount of meticulous detail that has gone into the 3D virtual cockpit, my honest opinion would be to stay with the ifly 737 you're currently flying :) Just my opinion though, I know we have other 2D flyers out there that get just as much pleasure from the NG flying in 2D than 3D :D
  21. Ccleaner is good anyway, clears up install history and any directory problems :)
  22. I would recommend running ccleaner :) It's freeware you can download it :)
  23. I haven't added/removed any hardware from my PC so I don't think that can be the problem
  24. Hardware? Nothing regarding my computer has changed...
