B744 Cockpit Visit For Grown Man
Not at all! I always ask to visit the cockpit when boarding and even go the extra mile and ask to stay throughout the flight. Unfortunately the captains only agree to that about a fourth of the time. But they usually always love showing passengers of all ages around the cockpit. Ethan E.

FIX Page Not Accepting Distances with Decimals
When entering a radial distance for a fix in the FMC, I am presented with an "Invalid Entry" error when entering a non-integer distance, such as 3.6 DME. However, 3 or 4 work just fine. The FMC on the NGX does allow me to input decimal distances. Does the 777 really not allow this? I have a feeling I'm making a minor error that I'm not noticing. Thank you in advance for any responses, Ethan

Fix radius circles lowering FPS
Has anyone been able to find a fix for this? Ethan E.

KOAK Skyline Three Departure
I think it is the other way around. In this case, its 2000 ft or below at the 4NM mark. I did not use any de-rates. I'll give that a try, but even then it feels like a very small rate of climb. Thank you, Ethan E.

KOAK Skyline Three Departure
While trying the Skyline Three departure from KOAK (http://155.178.201.160/d-tpp/1207/00294SKYLINE.PDF), I am having trouble complying with the 2000 ft restriction up to 4NM from the OAK VORTAC, because the NGX easily reaches this altitude far before 4NM. After watching some real departures on Youtube, I have yet to notice any plane level off during the departure. I was wondering if anyone knows the proper way to fly this departure. Thank you, Ethan E.

Fix radius circles lowering FPS
I would be happy to test a fix if Alex is able to create one. Ethan E.

Fix radius circles lowering FPS
Try KLAS ILS 25L. Add BLD as a fix and use the radials for each of the three waypoints on the chart. When all three are activated in the fix page, the fps will decrease. Ethan E.

Fix radius circles lowering FPS
I have the same problem on an ATI 7690M XT. I drop from a steady 27 for to around 16-20 fps. I just don't use fixes anymore. Ethan E.

MCP Knoob Speed
I see the biggest difference in speed in the altitude knobs. Try changing the altitude from 0 to around 30000 ft and you'll probably notice the difference in how long it takes you. Ethan E.

MCP Knoob Speed
I have a feeling that this question has already been asked, but in the 2D cockpit, the knobs on the MCP move much faster than the they do in the 3D cockpit. Is there any way to make the knobs in the 3D cockpit move at this speed as well? Ethan E.

FMC Change Waypoint Heading
I am trying to fly the JULLE 5 STAR and the Runway 08 ILS in Honolulu. I will attach the links below. Between ALANA, the end of the STAR, and SELIC, the beginning of the ILS chart, the plane gets to SELIC at a heading of about 316 degrees, then begins to circle. This way, the plane overshoots the runway laterally, and then aligns. I want the turn to start before the plane reaches SELIC. I want the plane to intersect SELIC while pointing at runway heading, 080 degrees. Is this possible?http://155.178.201.160/d-tpp/1202/00754JULLE.PDFhttp://155.178.201.160/d-tpp/1202/00754I8L.PDFThanks.Ethan E.

FMC Change Waypoint Heading
On the LEGS page, on top of each waypoint, there is the heading that the plane will cross it at in smaller text. What I want to do, and what I was able to do once, is to change the heading in this section. For some reason, I can't do it again.Ethan E.

FMC Change Waypoint Heading
I read on another forum that it is possible to enter the name of the waypoint and enter it in LSK 1-5L, then before pressing execute, enter the desired heading into LSK 6R. This worked for me once yesterday, but I am not able to recreate the situation.Ethan E.

FMC Change Waypoint Heading
I've spent quite a while googling this, with no luck. Is there any way to set the heading at which the plane crosses a waypoint in the FMC?Thanks in advance.Ethan E.

Virtual Cockpit FPS when Panning
With the spacebar and mouse, I get much worse fps. I get 17-19 fps with the joystick. This is in a congested airport. In the air, I get over 30 fps. It is just weird that when I am not panning, I get 27 fps, but when I pan the joystick, it drops significantly until I stop panning. I can also add that it does not matter if I point towards the airport or not.Ethan E.

Virtual Cockpit FPS when Panning
It simply gets annoying that when I want to look around or flip a switch, there is massive lagging. I can still fly the plane just fine though.
-
Virtual Cockpit FPS when Panning
I get a steady 27 fps in the cockpit. Whenever I pan around, however, it instantly drops to about 17-19 fps. When I stop panning, the fps rises back to normal. Any ideas why?

VNAV Disconnect when Loading Saved Flight
I just noticed that this problem only occurs after T/D. If I load the flight right before T/D, the VNAV is active. Anywhere after T/D, and the VNAV disconnects.

VNAV Disconnect when Loading Saved Flight
This happens when I do the SADDE SIX arrival at KLAX. Here is the link from Airnav: http://155.178.201.1.../00237SADDE.PDF. The chart says to cross SYMON at 12000 ft at 280 knots. When I enter this into the fmc during preflight, it returns, UNABLE 280K at SYMON. What do I do to fix this error?

VNAV Disconnect when Loading Saved Flight
The interesting part is that it only occurs on this route, with this specific approach. I wonder if there is anything I can do before I save the flight to avoid this from happening when I reload it.
-
VNAV Disconnect when Loading Saved Flight
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, setting the CRZ ALT to my current altitude does not work. My current altitude is 5000 ft. When I enter this into the FMC, it automatically changes it 11000 ft.

VNAV Disconnect when Loading Saved Flight
I save several flights about fifteen minutes from landing, so that I can return to them whenever I want, and land. For almost all of my flights, I have no problem reloading them. But for one of them, the VNAV Disconnects every time I reload it. I see the VNAV DISCONNECT message on the FMC, and the CWS P message. All the target altitudes and speeds are displayed on the FMC, but none of the estimated altitudes and speeds are displayed. In addition, this always happens when I save flights on this SPECIFIC route from KOAK to KLAX.Any ideas on how to reenable VNAV?Thanks.

Control Surface Lag
The flaps are fine for me. It's the other control surfaces that lag (spoilers, ailerons, etc.).
-
Control Surface Lag
I can fly the NGX anywhere and always stay about 30 fps, every slider except for water and terrain mesh is set to full. For some reason, every control surface on this plane only, lags, fps wise. It is not a smooth motion, for example, when deploying the spoilers. It feels like it is about 10 fps or below. Does anyone else have this problem?
