March 4, 201214 yr I get a steady 27 fps in the cockpit. Whenever I pan around, however, it instantly drops to about 17-19 fps. When I stop panning, the fps rises back to normal. Any ideas why?

Any ideas why?dont kinow why but why are you looking at the fps for at not flying the aircraft, if it still flies than why worry about fps for, seems that alot of siimers are more worried about thier fps than flying. March 4, 201214 yr Author dont kinow why but why are you looking at the fps for at not flying the aircraft, if it still flies than why worry about fps for, seems that alot of siimers are more worried about thier fps than flying. It simply gets annoying that when I want to look around or flip a switch, there is massive lagging. I can still fly the plane just fine though.

Any ideas why?The first thing that comes to mind is if you are using the spacebar and mouse to pan, it would probably be the mouse FPS drop that is a flaw of FSX and cannot be fixed. Please remember to sign your full name to every post or stick it in your signature per forum rules. March 4, 201214 yr Author The first thing that comes to mind is if you are using the spacebar and mouse to pan, it would probably be the mouse FPS drop that is a flaw of FSX and cannot be fixed. With the spacebar and mouse, I get much worse fps. I get 17-19 fps with the joystick. This is in a congested airport. In the air, I get over 30 fps. It is just weird that when I am not panning, I get 27 fps, but when I pan the joystick, it drops significantly until I stop panning. I can also add that it does not matter if I point towards the airport or not.Ethan E. Edited March 4, 201214 yr by ethanpilot787

March 4, 201214 yr Commercial Member FSX engine - no other explanation really - when it starts moving the view it calculates all the mouse positions, even if you do it with the joystick. They needed to do a hardware cursor that's part of the 3D world and they didn't - simple as that. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
March 4, 201214 yr i believe i have tried this behaviour once . Try backup your FSX.CFG and then get FSX to make a new one by deleting it./Michael Moe Michael Moe
