Well that is really depressing news... I guess that Flight wasn't as profitable as they had hoped. What now? X-plane is the only option unless they open up the API to the open source community.

Yes! I am using boot camp to run Flight on my 27" iMac i7.. It runs great on the Windows 8 Consumer Preview.

Well, Major Nelson (Larry Hyrb) is the official spokesman for Microsoft's X-Box gaming division.So I would call this an semi-official announcement. I guess we'll see although I did read on his website first when Flight was going to be available.Bryan

Why would it be necessary for them to model the airways between Alaska and Hawaii? Like was stated earlier, this would require some sort of navigation system besides VOR's.. I'm thinking they will just keep the scenery areas separate for now.

Hey! Spring starts on the 20th!

I am seeing a trend towards scenic areas obviously for DLC. Hawaii.. Alaska.. Maybe next is California or Washington State.. Or maybe I'm getting ahead of myself here.

Do those square miles count in the Aleutian Island chain? Imagine flying from Attu to Adak.. The thousands of smaller islands and ocean in between.

I'm predicting this expansion pack will focus on bush flying.. That's what aviation in Alaska is known for!

Hi all. Used to be a active member here before the board crashed. Has anyone been able to get Flight running under Windows 8? When I click on Xbox live tile the game shows up but it doesn't allow me to actually launch the program. Thanks in advance! Bryan.
