  1. I did want the -300ER expansion for Christmas, and here we are six months later!

I think it should be arrangeable to release SP1 and the -300ER on Christmas in six month.

    Luke -

Your shots are amazing. You're finally able to fly our beloved 77W. And once again you can see that " size does matter" B)

  2. I'll answer, on behalf of all of us at FSL, once and for all...

The wings of course do flex slightly with aerodynamic load, but not enough to warrant the performance penalties of implementing such animations inside FSX.

    Andrew -

in the "A320 Compact Information" topic at the fslabs forums it says, you're going to model "accurate wing bouncing". Is this correct?

And are we able to see the wing from the captain's and F/O's view?

  3. A quick question without reading every single post on these 11 pages, will the wx radar also be implemented in the NGX?

    Yes, that's the plan.

    Gents-

I have seen a couple of really dumb replies in this thread that were made by folks who act is if they are informed when in fact they are not.

As a result of their ineptitude, I need to clarify a few things to make sure nobody runs off and repeats the dumb things that these inepticons posted here...   (Yes, I am annoyed by it... Sorry.)

    1) Yes, we are planning to port the ASN connectivity for wx radar to the NGX.  No we do not know when this will happen.

    2) SP1 and the 300ER will release at the same time.

    3) The wx radar connection with ASN is part of SP1, and thus will not cost you anything.  We did it this way because we want all PMDG 777 drivers to have access to it, not just those who purchase the 300ER extension.

    4) No, the 300ER isn't "holding up" SP1.  In fact, quite to the contrary the 300ER is dependent upon SP1 which is not quite finished yet.

So please folks- if you see anyone repeating some of the wrong answers posted by inepticons in this thread above, please correct them.

    Thank you,

  4. I'm a bit of a perfectionist. Please tell me it's removable. :)

Maybe they'll remodel it in the -300ER. Because that overhead panel is a bit different than in the -200/LR/F series. For example the Taxi-Camera-System Light.

So if they have to model something new on the -300ER overhead they probably can change the lid too. (Just my opinion. But that would be another closer step to "as real as it gets".

  5. In the 737s and the 777s you can't use the gear to slow down. Both planes are made to maintain the speed. That means if you're at ~200kts and you want to use the gear to slow down

to ~180-190kts it doesn't work because the engines will spool up to maintain your 200kts.

A good friend of mine, a real world 744 pilot told me that this is a very common technique to slow down the "Queen of the skies". So in the PMDG 747 or the upcoming 747V2 you can handle her like that.

  6. My guess would be that there will be an intro manual that explains some of the cool differences (that people will largely ignore, and then [complain] about the landing gear not rotating correctly and so on)

Do you mean the Semi-Levered Gear? Only real T7 freaks will know and see these features.

  7. Hello Robert,

I don't know if you're also reading the PMDG 777 topic but if not I just want ask my question here too.

Will it be possible to remove/hide the antenna in front of the two AFD antennas? Because there are a lot of airlines who don't use them on the -300ER and the -200LR either. (I mean the one that looks a bit like the satcom one)

Anyway. Thanks for your update. I'm looking forward to buy it.  B)

  8. Hello everyone,

is there any option to remove the big antenna "thing" (looks a bit like a satcom but isn't) in front of the two black ADF antennas. I noticed the -Freighter variants don't carry them and some airlines like air canada and emirates either.

So, how can I remove them?

    Btw: Thanks in advance

  9. I'm also not a fan of dirty cockpits + the 777 is a new airplane and still in production. So I don't need any kind of dirt.

But I'll second the request from IFRking to remove the old style cockpit voice recorder lid. (Maybe it's already done but if not, it would be a really cool makeover)

  10. I disagree with you AJ, you just haven't been able to watch the AC from a distance like I have several times (I live on the path where AC come in on finals).

I agree that PMDG has poured over the technical docs provided by Boeing, I would rather they got everything in the VC right as opposed to exterior strobe flashing but I thought that I would point it out.

Yesterday I went to the airport and watched the daily evening arrival and depature from emirates service DXB-DUS-DXB.The aircraft was a -300ER A6-ENB.

The strobe flashing was first Tail and then (a second or not even a second) later the wing strobe lights.

Later at home I watched some of my videos and on youtube and I noticed the strobe flashing PMDG did is exactly the same as on the -200ER and the normal -300.

I can't say much about the -200LR and -F but I think it has the same strobe flashing interval as the -300ER.
