  1. vc10man - Notice the first post said I was flying to DTW, Detroit Metro. BeachPilot - If I am below the glideslope I should intercept it as I approach the runway. Thus as I said, it works OK if I maintain a higher altitude. My question is not how to fly a glideslope, but what config files define it. Is it defined in the AFCAD file? And if so how can I tweak it?
  2. Yes, its the default ATC. Where would I find newer approach plates and how would I install them? Thanks for your reply.
  3. When making an ILS approach to DTW Detroit in FSX, ATC directs us to an altitude of 2600 for runway 4L. I find that this is too high to intercept the glideslope and the plane just flies over the runway. However if I approach at 2400 I do hit the glideslope and the plane decends as it should. What file needs to be tweaked to get this to sync correctly? And how do you do it? Thanks
  4. I have searched this site over and over for a way to easily find the topics that I originated. But so far have not been able to find one. How do you get to this My Content thing? And also FWIW I also think the limit is a poor idea and should be a way to override it.
  5. Situation: Win8 Pro FSX installed on E:\FSX REX installed on E:\REX I have tried to install several add-on aircraft. This is usually done by copying the aircraft folder into E:\FSX\SimObjects\Aircraft. When this is done, the aircraft appears in FSX and flies and controls properly. However the paint schemes do not appear when in Fly Now mode. (The jpegs do show up in proper color.) The plane comes up all white (like a ghost). Several of these files were used previously without a problem on another PC running a default install in Program Files with Win7. So I assume it is either a Win8 problem or a problem with the install location. Can anyone suggest how to fix this? Thanks
  6. FSX has 4 views with hotkeys F9-F12. Is there a way to assign hotkeys to other views such as flyby? Or how about the tail view? I've read several threads on this subject but they are all too obscure for me. Thanks
  7. Any thoughts which of these 2 boards would perform best for FSX? ASUS P8Z77-V LK LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard Thanks
