  1. Andy, Installed the TSS sound pack last night and I really like it. Very nice. Thanks for your help. I added the below 2 entries to the sound.cfg file, as you suggested, but why is filename=nosmoking associated with the seatbelts entry? Thought it would have been filename=seatbelts. Can you explain what these 2 entries actually do? Thanks, Al [NO_SMOKING_ALERT] filename=nosmoking [sEATBELTS_ALERT] filename=nosmoking
  2. Thanks Andy. Great of you to provide these details. Definitely plan to get the TSS sound pack and try it out. Al
  3. I would like to try the King Air TSS sound pack but I read the following in a review: "Be wary of installing to some of the more well known payware products as they often have custom sound sets themselves and may not work correctly if this utility is used. Most freeware aircraft would ideally suit this product. One important point to note is the installer will only find aircraft in the default folder and that has a sound folder so AI aircraft are excluded from the 3rd party automated installation" Would really like to know if anyone has used it in the B200 King Air before purchasing it? Thanks.
  4. Thanks Andy. This takeoff procedure works great for me.
  5. Would also be interested.
  6. Thanks Andy for your suggestions. I did check my calibration. Appeared to be OK. As it turned out, I was not setting the throttle detent properly in FSUIPC. It has been such a long time since I had last did this. Now that I calibrated it correctly, It appears to be working well now. Thanks again, Al
  7. I am having some issues with the CH Products FltSim Throttle Quadrant and the B200, specifically the throttles. It seems that there is no response to increase the torque until the throttle handles are more than half way forward. Also the slightest change in the throttle handles makes such a large change in the torque. I have set it up using FSUIPC to define the various limits, reverse, idle and full throttle. I have never had such a problem like this with any other FSX plane. Any one experience similar issues? Any suggestions to make it work more smoothly and uniformly throughout the entire throttle range? Thanks, Al
  8. Thanks for the info Jim.
  9. Thanks Bert, Just wanted to report back that the "D" key works great to get me back on a dead on track with the GPS. Al
  10. Last night, took the same flight I mentioned above and the B200 autopilot/GNS 530 was almost dead on the course line. Did not do anything differently. Plan to try some different flights today and see the results. Al
  11. Some really nice stuff in the works. Look forward to seeing their final products. Al
  12. Sorry Wu. Read things too quickly. Presently, I do not have the C90B. I assume then you also have observed the "off course" GPS navigation that I noted above with the B200. Al
  13. Hi Bert, I did not actually fit the STEC autopilot into the main cockpit panel. Your right, need a master tweaker to do that. I just edited it into the panel.cfg and brought it up as as 2D popup gauge to test it. Curious, have you also observed what I noted above that the B200 autopilot does not precisely tract the GPS course? Thanks, Al
  14. Thanks. One other simple check is the flashing red lights on the left fuel panel on start up. Before they were not flashing. Now they are.
  15. Hi Jim, Well then I guess it must be a problem with the Caranedo King Air. I went ahead and installed the RXP FLN autopilot system in the King Air and flew the same flight. It almost flew the course dead on, very slightly off but not the same as when using the King Air Autopilot system. So I can only imagine that it must be a bug with the King Air autopilot system. Would love to see it fixed. Al
  16. I have 2 RXP GNS 530 units installed in the King Air. I also have the same 2 units in another plane - the RealAir Duke. When I fly in the Duke the GPS is always dead on the line on autopilot when navigating using GPS. However, flying the same exact flight in the King Air, it is always to the left (very noticeable -at least 3 bar widths) of the GPS navigation line. The autopilot does not track dead on the line. Same for approaches. Anyone seen this? Any thoughts why this would be happening? Thanks, Al
  17. Thanks Jim. I installed SP2 and it worked well. All the new features are there now. Clearly I only had SP1 - looks like Flight 1 did not have the latest version/SP on their website. Have always loved the King Air (used to fly the Aeroworx King); very happy that Caranedo came out with this plane. Have a lot to learn again. Will review the forum and ask questions if needed. Thanks again. Al
  18. Thanks Jim. I found the sound set.exe that you pointed out above. Thanks. Looks like I have at least SP 1 installed. However, I do not believe my installation contains SP2. Some of the SP 2 features shown on the Caranedo website do not appear to be there. So I may just go ahead and install SP2. Don't believe it can hurt even if it is already there. Thanks again, Al
  19. Just purchased the B200 from Flight1 and right now I have 2 basic questions: I see that there is a SP2 - how does one tell the version or SP you currently have installed? Just purchased yesterday so I would assume Flight1 has provided the latest service pack but would like to check to make sure. How do I install the louder engine sound set that is now available? Thanks, Al
