  1. Is this the large adfess aware you were talking about? http://www.techpower...ad.php?t=112556 This looks like it can really help with performance, including my issues with Planetside 2 -Just installed it, minor performance boosts I also made a check on my av, no interference with fs9 Regarding Intel only showing up, I will uninstall my graphics driver, remove every trace and reinstall it, hopefully the NVIDIA will show up.
  2. Thanks for your reply I cannot disable my Intel 3000HD because my onboard intel graphics is also my display adapter, so my resolution if disabled goes to 1024X768 Max I am not aware of what you mean by large address, so that could be helpful it seems that only 500-800mb of ram is used when FS9 is running, The GT525M and Intel always run in the same time, due to optimus which switches between graphics card depending whether you are using demanding tasks or not. But my GT525M is my default GPU, selected through NVIDIA control panel. The GT525M is the high performance GPU onboard my laptop whereas the Intel is the integrated and weaker, so no matter what, Im positive the GT525M is the option. I dont think I can disable it through the BIOS. I am currently performing a defrag in hope of performance improvements Is their an app for selecting a core and reserving it, I find it annoying, how I will have to set the affinity for everything each time I run FS9. So Core 0 on task manager is best? I followed this for a while, does it actually do anything? This gives me a huge boost, also when, setting most killer processes to use all cores but core 0 Update: I am starting to think my Anti-virus is interfering, access is denied to make any changes to its affinity, auto update, or it in general, always access denied. It is also restrictive with a few more things, I have Kasperky Pure 2.0 Thanks for your help Mel, you've been most helpful and extremely patient
  3. Again, Sorry for tripple post, just more info: Cancel the 10fps thing above I just followed NickN guide and I swear he is an absolute miracle worker, with fsx, his tweaks gave me a huge boost, and now another boost. But, thats only with General Aviation Aircraft, Still lets say, Ifly, QualityWings, PMDG, Low FPS, It had no FPS impacts, but FS9 looks fabulous [with a few addons] Still not to good performance Always below 20 Update: Windows XP Compatibility helps *I have PC Performance Toolkit, would setting it to high performance help? It basically makes windows 7 look like Windows 98! I will do a disk defrag & Repair in hope of that boosting performance
  4. I think you'd get a better response @ the FSX forum since a lot more people are viewing it,
  5. Sorry for the double post, but how can I set FS9 to one core, and use that core ONLY for FS9, with a program compatible with W7 64BIT, I have tried two apps, but both have failed, Here are my addons as of now Shochwave Lights Zinertek World Env REX @ Medium Settings ENB Ground Environment Zinertek Night Env @ Seattle with Default Cessna 172, I get 10FPS in VC! O_O ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :((( ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :(( Dell Diagnostics says everything is fine with my laptop, except the battery part I mentioned. :::: :(((((( Hmm, Although NVIDIA is set as my default, FS9 Display settings only list my integrated graphics card[intel 3000HD] Which is strange, it use to be intel, I checked through device manager to make sure the GT525M is enabled and everything is fine, and I found nothing wrong.
  6. It looks best during stormy weather, but during a sunny day or a few clouds, not too nice, anyways my opinion Also, kind of messes up the clouds with REX for me atleast
  7. Thanks for your reply I will def look in to the processes but again game booster should shutdown anything unnecessary, but I guess it could also be causing issues. I always remove traces of previous graphic drivers, [well NVIDIA, I never update my Intel drivers, I never use it, as the NVIDIA is my default] Everything looks normal through CPUZ Here is a comparison of my Intel 3000HD and GT525M Via GPUZ http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/n82ey/ GT525M Dedicated http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/757UA/ Intel 3000HD Integrated Also, Curiosity When running FS9, Does setting higher priority matter via task manager? and should I set my affinity to one core or all?
  8. When I boot, it says 80 are running! But if I count the processes listed, I count around 20... Would You recommend I use my GT525M or Intel 3000HD for FS9, considering the driver compatibility I understand what CPU-Z is but how do I actually know if something is out of the ordinary, Im not very good with this
  9. Again! Thanks but gamebooster is always at 100% top gaming plan... Here is a screenshot of everything http://imageshack.us/f/690/screenshotlrj.png/
  10. By it never goes on, I mean it dosent activate, I have the turbo monitor, it is always @ 2GHZ By unlock my GPU, Do you mean for the voltage control? My GPU seems fine, and it dosent seem like it has any problems.. It performs normally, is usually cool, and at a near idle temperature, Exactly what am I supposed to check on CPU-Z? Here is info on my system: http://valid.canardpc.com/2632787 Also, if you did not notice above, my laptop is plugged in not charging due to a loose, well, the power, umm, where you plug in the charger and a failed battery that I am to lazy to change or repair anything, since I cant live without my laptop lol, and since I hope to buy a new laptop within a year. I just attempted a flight with FS9, Ifly 737, REX, the fps keeps skipping, never steady, always between 15-30 in exterior in the air, ground 15-20, vc, 5-13, 2d, 8-20Fps I have tried changing the FPS limit through FS9, between 24, 50 and unlimited, but still
  11. No Bios settings, extremely limited, checked three times I am on W7 64bit Since I am using game booster, as soon as I turn it on, all settings are to high performance. I downloaded this in hope of overclocking to 2.50-2.90 which is safe since that is the turbo http://www.techpowerup.com/systool/ Is this safe and does it work?Update, its been last updated in 2007 O_O So I am unsure, any similar applications are great, [for cpu] I use MSI aft for GPU
  12. My laptop is plugged in 24/7 lol, I will try to check it through the BIOS again, but Now, Update* Turbo still does not show through the BIOS, I don't understand, This is worth noting, my laptop has minor issues relating plugged in not charging causing performance drops, but I doubt them as major since I can still run BF3, Skyrim, etc easily, Major Edit: Dell Bios [Well my laptop mainly] = Barely any options, so :( No freedom over that Any methods to overclock would be nice :: :( Or explanations to why my tubo boost never goes on I tried a test of running FS9, Skyrim, & Minecraft at the same time, all maxed Turbo boost does not do activate It also says energy saver Battery is on high performance
  13. I have turbo to 2.9GHZ but it never seems to activate, and I see no way to turn it off or on through the BIOS, although it has worked in the past For overclocking, I am unsure and worried, when it comes to my processor, for the graphics card, My laptop remains cool, which for me, idle is around 50 ::: I also dont want to run the sim on low, if I could run FSX higher with a better environment If anyone could guide me torwards safely overclocking my core, or maybe another way to check why my Turbo boost is not or is barely active, I would really appreciate it
  14. Hi, I recently reinstalled FS9, after becoming fed up with FSX... But, the performance is disappointing! Here is an example @Dubai Airport, Fly Tampa, Legacy not even rebooted or updated, with the Ifly 737, and Real Environment [Conditions are great, barely a cloud], I get 16-20fps on exterior, 12 fps on 2d panel, and around 5 on virtual cockpit, This is basically like FSX! FSX, I would get, at Dubai, Rebooted, with the PMDG 737NGX Around 10FPS in VC, 12 in 2D, 20 In exterior.. Here are my specs I7-2630QM @2GHZ 6Gigs of Ram NVIDIA GT525M, Overclocked as follows: Core: 740 Shader: 1480 Memory: 1100 I have attempted to set FS9 to using 1 core, and that core, being for FS9 ALONE, but that has minor effects. I also have game booster installed. I am updated to SP1. I have no registry issues or anything related. My Anti-virus causes no interference with the sim. I dont know if this might help or could be a minor issue, but I am also using a Saitek Yoke. Any help is appreciated,
