Very Nice ENB.ini File for download

Featured Replies

Guys, I just tried Hassan Ezzeddine's enb.ini file available at flightsim.com zip file called enb_series.zip. I can say its really really nice. I have tweaked mine many times and just tossed mine after trying this one out. Hands down the best, at least for me. I know its a persal thing, but give it shot.

Just wanted to share this upload to my simmers.

This file works very nice, Bill. Thanks very much for your tweaking and sharing this with us.

I have a feeling, that given the lack of response, most simmers including me, don't know what this file is related to ,or what it does. I checked it out on Google, but I'm still none the wiser.

ENB Series is a mod that gives the visuals a hazy softening effect. The file mentioned here came without the dll that makes it work but it can be found. I found mine in Pablo Diaz's HD Environment package that you can find here I believe.

I tried this file and like all the other ENB series files I've tried, I just found it way too hazy, bright, and ethereal looking, but that's just my opinon.

Cheers

Thanks Roger, yes like Roger said, its a matter of user preference. As for me, I like it better than then one I had before.. I think it is a bit to hazy too, but overall a winner for me. If I can bring down the hazy effect a tad I think it would be perfect. Do a search in the avsim library for Pablo Diaz's HD Environment or something like that, then it will have the files for ENB series effects. Once those are placed in FS9 you can use the enb ini file to customize the ENB settings. There are alot of numbers to change and time consuming However ask around here since Im sure many would help. And just to clarify, I did not create this ini file that I linked. Im just sharing the link so others can try.

Thank you Roger and Bill, I am now wiser and it is something to look into in the New Year, for which I extend Best Wishes to you and Wally in Alberta..

Cheers

It looks best during stormy weather, but during a sunny day or a few clouds, not too nice, anyways my opinion

Also, kind of messes up the clouds with REX for me atleast

Ill try to email the author and see if he can tweak it a bit to reduce a little of the grey look

Just tried to look for a email address for the author but could not find it. Unless someone out there knows how to tweak it a bit to reduce the gray.

Love the look with this enb, however would like to at least less the "grayish" look just a tad. Anyone know where to edit this in the ini file?

How does it on the fps? I am using Dillon's setting and it looks quite awesome, it is a bit dark to my taste so I made some adjustment in daylight setting, I found 4-7 fps drop.

I have not noticed too much of frame drops. I would say about 2-3 if any at all. Love the way this one looks, but just need to tone down the gray look is has just a tad.. Amazing when on a gloomy day.

I hope this isn't thread hijack but...I have played around with these enb files in the past but become frustrated that when you change views you have to re-activate it by pressing f11 (if I remember correctly)

Is there a way to permanently activate the effect?

Yes, in the enbseries.ini mark the global variable 'use effect' with 1 instead of 0...

If my memory serves me, you can adjust it in the COLORCORRECTION section, line "ColorSaturationDay". Mine is set to -1 because I like less saturated colours. Try setting it to 1.

enbseries.ini is the name of the file and it resides in your main FS folder, by the way.
