MD-11 is the only bird I own from PMDG. This plane is different than any other, but is insanly more fun and easy to fly as soon as we take time to read the documentaion, practice, read again, practice and read again (I hope people complaining about the MCDU a joking...). I wait a very long time before buying it, waiting for some kind of price reduction....and I finaly bought it, at the original price. I'm VERY disapointed that MD-11 is abandonned. With should this bird die ? P3D is certainly our futur in flight simulation (with Xplane), and now I must have both FSX and P3D installed just to fly the MD-11.

Ok Ollie, thank you for the info, I just read "PMDG does not intend to release any of our legacy products such as the PMDG MD-11 or PMDG 747-400X into the P3D platform." in that topic http://forum.avsim.net/topic/426978-pmdgs-p3d-development-status-fact-thread-updated-25nov13/. too bad, anyway.

Hello all, I have FSX and the MD-11, and intend to buy P3D. anyone knows how is the compatibility of this plane with P3D ? is there any tricks to know for a clean install ? thanks, Philippe

Hi Bob, The best way is to export your Sketchup model into a DAE format. Then you can import it in ModelConverterX and export it as a BGL file. The next step is to use, for example, AirportDesignEditor to place it a a scenery. That is only the guidelines, you can find a lot of turotials on the web that details the different operations.

Thanks megs8888. Yep, of course it will be freeware. We have still a lot of work to do before releasing (texturing, night ground textures, and a lot of details to add), but sure, I'll post when released.
