  1. Install uiautomationcore.dll and try again Inviato dal mio HTC Incredible S utilizzando Tapatalk
  2. I agree with you... the problem is related directly to Windows 8. But no need to downgrade to Windows 7 !!!! If you program correctly joystick or yoke by FSUIPC, you solve every problem about the disconnection. Inside of this post this is explained more times..... I play with Windows 8 using FSUIPC since 7 months ago, and I don't have any problem about it !
  3. Hi Rod I have only Saitek X52 Joystick and Thrust panel. I followed this guide : http://pdfsb.com/readonline/5a5642456567353858584a394333396d56413d3d I have FSX installed in the default directory. I don't know what's Plan-G. Luigi
  4. I found the FSUIPC set up frustrating too !!. But till now, that is the only way not to have problems anymore with the Joystick and Windows 8. I have been flying for about 2 months without any problem. ^_^
  5. After hours and hours of testing, many experiments and reading of forum on over the world, I've finally solved the joystick problem with Windows 8 64 bit and Saitek X52 !! I used FSUIPC function to control the aileron, rudder, elevator and throttle commands ! I've done this because when I lost the joystick control, I lost only the axis commands and not all the buttons/lever of the Saitek. I suggest to all to use FSUIPC to control the joystick function instead of FSX !
  6. Also this fix doesn't solve the problem !! :( Yesterday, after about 1 hour of flight, I lost my joystick control....
  7. I didn't see performance issue. The frame rate was the same. I have a limit to 30frame/sec. But I'll check again in the next days
  8. Hi yesterday evening I try a new solution for our problem.... Localize fsx.exe >> properties >> Compatibility and set " Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 7 ". After this setting I flew for 3 hours without to loose the joystick control. I don't know if this solve the problem.... I have to check for many time.... but I hope ! Try people try !
  9. Sorry, but I don't know if there is a way to do this.... For this reason I've disabled the power setting of all the devices. Luigi
  10. I opened a ticket too, with PMDG. This is their response : What the manual should have said, you actually need to Exit the flight and return to the select an Aircraft menu and then select a new aircraft. Selecting another aircraft from within a flight or attempting to reload a flight after a "crash" will almost always cause the Sim to crash. You need to exit the flight and restart it in order for things to work properly. It's a bug, PMDG knows it, till now it needs to reload the flight every time we want to change liveries ! :( @ Jonathan I don't understand what's the matter hardware flap / speedbrake handle about the problem !
  11. Hi I have he same problem too ! If I select from "aircraft menu " any B737 PMDG NGX and I run FSX no problem. If I select again any B737 PMDG NGX and launch FSX, a Crash to Desktop happens !! This problem happens always, every time I try to select an other B737 NGX aircraft. I use the stability tweaks such as HIGHMEMFIX=1 under [GRAPHICS] in FSX.cfg and UIAutomationCore.dll in the FSX main folder. No CTD during the flight ! I run FSX under Windows 8 Prof. 64 bit. Please someone may help me ?
  12. The first time that I tried to apply the fix didn't even work to me. Motive is that I had applied " power setting " only to the controller USB related to the Saitek. When instead I set the fix on all devices USBs and HID, all started to regularly work. In every case I am happy for you that with windows 7 don't have problems anymore. However I didn't have crash to desktop, but only the problem of the Joystick. Luigi
  13. Hi guys before come back to Windows 7 or FSUIPC or DLYS, have you tried the fix as suggested in post N.311 ?? It worked fine for me ! It solved all my problems between Windows8 and USB 2/3 devices. ^_^
  14. Hi to everybody I have subscribed in this forum to give my contribution to the solution of this long and unpleasant problem. I premise that this method has worked for me, but it is not said that work for everybody. I use FSX with Windows 8 Professional 64 bit and the joystick Saitek X52. All the drivers ( Windows and Saitek) and the software programs are updated to the last version. My problem was that, some times, during a flight with B737 NGX with autopilot active, I lost the possibility to command the axis with the Saitek X52. The joystick was not seen by FSX anymore, but it continued to be read by the control panel of the Saitek. The only method to again have the control of the joystick was to save the situation and restart FSX ! Fix of the problem ( for me ! ) : Go to the hardware control panel and open " device manager ". Localize all the USB controller, usb input devices and Human Interface Devices. For each device open the "properties setting " Open the tab " Power Management " ( where present, off course ! ) Remove, for all the devices, where present as default, the tip " allow the computer to turn off this device to save power " Please take care that this option is not present in the device manager of the Saitek X52, but in the devices USB and HID. I think that the problem happened when, for instance, during the flight in cruise with active autopilot, it spends a lot of time without using the commands of the joystick. The peripheral was disabled then by Windows and it was not more active in FSX. This fix work fine for me !! Finally I fly for 2 - 3 hours without loose the joystick control in FSX ! Luigi
