February 18, 201313 yr Hi, After some time I tryed to load up the NGX again. I can select it in the FSX start menu as normal, however if I click on "Start Flight" FSX crashes to desktop. I don't have a clue what this is, as I don't have changed anything, since my last NGX flight. A reinstallation of the NGX didn't work too. The crash happens on any airport, daytime or weather. It also crahses if switching to the NGX after I started a flight with the default chessna. Any advices? Thanks, Jonathan John Rubens
February 23, 201313 yr Firstly always load with the PMDG first, I believe PMDG has to run separate processes as flight sim is not compatable to do a lot of stuff PMDG wanted to do. As for the start flight crashes ensure there is nothing clashing with the pmdg that could cause a problem, I mention this a lot on the forum but I find deleting my FSX.CFG file fixes alot of things - I would recommend deleting your fsx.cfg file (mine is in C:\Users\Jacob\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX) then rerun flight sim x and start at any airport and any aircraft, close flight sim after it has loaded then run this tool http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html <-- should help your frame rates too! Hope this works, if not submit a support ticket on the PMDG site, you usually get a response very quickly to Windows 10 Pro | Intel i7 9700k @ 5.1ghz | RTX 3090 | 32GB Corsair Vengeance 3600 RAM | 2 x Samsung Evo plus M.2.
March 1, 201313 yr Are you using stability tweaks such as HIGHMEMFIX=1 under [GRAPHICS] in FSX.cfg and UIAutomationCore.dll in the FSX main folder?
March 20, 201313 yr Hi I have he same problem too ! If I select from "aircraft menu " any B737 PMDG NGX and I run FSX no problem. If I select again any B737 PMDG NGX and launch FSX, a Crash to Desktop happens !! This problem happens always, every time I try to select an other B737 NGX aircraft. I use the stability tweaks such as HIGHMEMFIX=1 under [GRAPHICS] in FSX.cfg and UIAutomationCore.dll in the FSX main folder. No CTD during the flight ! I run FSX under Windows 8 Prof. 64 bit. Please someone may help me ?
March 20, 201313 yr Author Sorry that I haven't replied to this topic for a long time. Post are going through here so damn fast, if you don't look at AVSIM daily you miss lot's of stuff. I submitted a ticket and we tracked down the problem to my hardware flap / speedbrake handle. They eventually found a solution but they won't fix until after the 777 release. Best regards, Jonathan John Rubens
March 21, 201313 yr I opened a ticket too, with PMDG. This is their response : What the manual should have said, you actually need to Exit the flight and return to the select an Aircraft menu and then select a new aircraft. Selecting another aircraft from within a flight or attempting to reload a flight after a "crash" will almost always cause the Sim to crash. You need to exit the flight and restart it in order for things to work properly. It's a bug, PMDG knows it, till now it needs to reload the flight every time we want to change liveries ! :( @ Jonathan I don't understand what's the matter hardware flap / speedbrake handle about the problem !

Because PMDG restart a lot of the sim engine to get it to behave how they want reloading different variations of the same model will cause the crash. It says that in the manuals. It's really not that much of an issue is it??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
