    There should be a law where a company is allowed to advertise a software product only 6 months before the release, in case of delay such product must wait at least 3 years or be aborted. 

    If such company tries to release it under another name, such company will face the court.

    You need to find a new hobby then.  "I want it ultra realistic and look like real life but I don't want to wait for it" is what i hear.  The era of instant gratification.  

    Go check out how many games are in Early Access or Beta on Steam.  Or how many times release dates change for video games.

    Or if you have any historical knowledge you would know that people complained about REX's weather engine.  So being good devs they set about redesigning their whole weather engine and give a little preview in 2016.  All of sudden you have an issue with what they are doing.  Damned if you do and damned if you don't huh.

    I'm not even a dev and i'm tired of the complainers.  

    Aerosoft A330 has never mentioned a release date.  They did with CRJ but then had a major issue with the FMC that set them wayyy back.  But hey if they released it then and the FMC didn't work you would blast them to high heavens for delivering a non-100% perfect product.  

    This is why devs don't even mention a release date anymore because of people like you.

    Grow up.....can't have your cake and eat it too.

    Ultimately hope you learned your lesson about firing off an emotional rant.   If its not an already known issue or an issue being experience by a lot of customers then most likely the issue is with YOUR sim.  We all have tweaks and other 3rd party software installed so maybe it didn't like something you did.  Maybe you didn't install without turning off your anti-virus.  Could be a 1000 factors not related to the product especially as you can see this product has a very high approval and success rate. 

    Whenever something goes wrong in my sim, the first question I ask is "what did I do wrong?"  And search every avenue for a solution before i even think about firing off the angry rant.

    Many people including myself have issues with either the flaps, gears or spoilers not working.   I've gotten the spoilers and gear working occasionally but not the flaps.   But maybe those who have the full paid version of FSUIPC can get them working by assigning them.

    QW has dropped support for the 757 but as far as i know not for the 146.  But they aren't even going to look at it until after the 787 release so you get no response from them.  I understand their focus but makes me super wary about buying the 787 if this is the level of support to follow down the road.

    Shouldn't cause a crash though.  The FS9 models just don't show up or you'll see a tail but nothing else, or no landing gear.

    1. Make a backup copy of each file in the "incorrect encoding" message.
    2. Open each file with Notepad++.
    3. In the top menu bar there should be an entry “Encoding” - open that menu
    3.a. For a "*.cfg" file select “UCS-2 Little Endian” (some versions call it "UCS-2 LE BOM")
    3.b. For a "*.xml" file select "UTF-8" (some versions call it "UTF-8 BOM") = you need the UTF-8 version with BOM
    3.c. Some versions of Notepad++ have "Encode" (top menu entries) and "Convert" (lower entries). Usually "Encode" is enough to change the encoding
    4. Make sure that there aren’t any “funny characters” in the text of the file now
    5. Save and close.

    You can download the models from the RIGHTFUL model makers then just add the paints.  Download flightplans from AIG on AVSIM library then install using AIFP will help you do this.   Just make sure you download the FSX versions.  Most are correcting this for v4.

    Arduous process but better than others pirating this work and not asking for permission from the model makers.

    The install instructions lay out exactly how it should be done. 

    This is what you add to the exe.xml which you can open and edit using notepad.

        <Path>REPLACE WITH YOUR PATH TO AICarriers.exe</Path>   
      </Launch.Addon>

     

    If this is your last entry make sure this line below is right after it.  May have to move it from its current position.  I have more than one entry because there are entries for AS16 etc.

    The REPLACE WITH YOUR PATH TO AICarriers.exe, you just put in there the path to wherever you have your AICarriers.exe file

    Problem sounds similar to others.  Zoom not working.  When i try to run v3 i get the Registry Error and to fix in VFX, even though both v3 and v4 are correctly enabled in VFX. CP runs fine in v4.  

    Disabled Experimental version and both sims work fine with CP.

    I think all of Dino's aircraft work in v4.  Landed the S-3 on the Nimitz last night no problem.  kudos to him for that.

    I think Aerosoft is weighing whether to update the F-14X for v4. 

    The Virtavia A-4 and Razbam A-7 were straight ports from FSX to P3D and worked fine in v3 so would assume they would work ok in v4. 

    Sludge Hornet might work but best to check over at FSDT forums for that answer.

    For those whining ask Ray Smith how fun it is to update the airports.  By the time he gets done updating the major airports and tries to do the secondary, the major airports have to be changed again. 

    Are you really upset because some dirt strip in idontknow, Iowa says runway 19 instead of 20?  Is that going to make you buy a different sim?  Even if LM did go through and update them all, they would have to do it again in a year if not constantly all because someone's home airport added a hangar or terminal that year. 

    I think the OP question has been answered.

    Except it takes manpower to sit down and go through all 26000 to see if they ARE correct or not. 

    I don't know what would you rather have: a sim with all the things LM has put in their current sim or an extra hangar or a runway that says 19 instead of 20? 

    Don't know about you but I prefer the former over the latter. 

    And i'm sure their project manager weighed the same decision.  Especially when you know 3rd party devs will cover a ton of airports. like the Orbx free NA and EU airports or region airports. etc

    I know. I've been using AIFP for v3 all the time. Just wanted to know if there was a way other than AIFP in case it hadn't been updated.

     

    Sorry it was hard to tell from your question.  You could unzip and just insert the flightplan but then you have no way of knowing if the aircraft are correct and match the routes.
