IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1
I do agree, I do wish more Devs would use the FMC like PMDG does for all features. One plus is iFly did put a lot of settings in the FMC with the 747 where they did not in their 737. Like fuel and payload edits plus doors, ground connections and so much more. Yes sir, it does. If you hit turbulence or anything or during turns if it is unstable it will slow down to 1x simulation to correct any discrepancies with your FMC or Autopilot. And then automatically kick back up to 8x when it's stable. Now to set "Intelligence Cruise" mode you will need to set that in the Config Manager before flight, but once you set it that's it. You don't need to do it every time. Or you can speed it to 8x manually in FS if you would rather do that but it won't kick down to correct if you do manual mode, you would have to kick it down on your own.

IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1
Ok, I'll tell you examples, even though I said I was done talking to you but I thought I would tell you why I like it. iFly has the following that has me liking it better. 1.) Much Smoother Frames (60 FS9 / 30 FSX) 2.) Window Reflection 3.) Night Lighting, Landing Lights 4.) Soundset (Sounds like the Real Thing) 5.) Flight Dynamics are smoother and much more fluid. Even someone here in the forms said he has flown a United Level-D Sim for the 747 and it fly's like the real thing. 6.) VNAV engages smoother 7.) Weight and Balance 8.) Real start system 9.) Thrust Reverse is accurate to the real thing. 10.) Fuel consumption is accurate You know instead of bashing me and saying I am a troll, why don't you just try it man. Then if you don't like it Flight 1 and iFly are allowing 30 day money back no questions asked if you don't like it. Sounds like a win win to me. Anyways I hope I was able to answer you questions but if not, I would be more willing to answer your questions if you didn't treat me like garbage and throw false accusations at me. I am not a troll or an iFly Dev or promoter. I am just a happy customer that was sharing his thoughts on a product is all. Am I allowed to do that??? My goodness. I would be willing to talk to you if you can treat me with some respect and don't tell me to walk away from the internet. I don't appreciate that at all, this is all I can do day in and day out. I am permanently disabled due to service related injuries overseas when in the service so please do not tell me to leave the internet or hint at me leaving these forums, thank you.

IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1
Dude you can say I'm a troll all you want, I am no longer going to feed your argument. I am someone who likes both and until you go and try it for yourself you won't know how it is. So as far as I am concerned both devs have pros and cons. I agree with " ohsirus" this happens every time. I was answering someone's question and you jump on me because you didn't like what I said. So enjoy your PMDG and I will enjoy the iFly & PMDG. Have a good day.

IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1
Well if you go back to my post with the 3 photos you will see I was posting VC differences and Crisp quality. Then I went on to say I the realism is better, and that is from my experience. So please do not attack me anymore, lets just move on. You like PMDG and that's cool, I also like their MD-11. Also I would respectfully ask you to try the iFly 747-400v2 before you say my claims are not real. Thanks
-
IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1
I agree, my issue is where people get attacked for stating their opinion. If people like PMDG, iFly, Qualitywings or whatever that's great. People should be able to express their own opinion is all I am saying. But I agree 100% with your statement.

IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1
At no point in my statement was I starting a flame war. As I stated over and over and over in my posts this is "My Personal Belief and I am only stating what I respectfully feel about this aircraft and the developer" Why do you feel the need to attack me and say what I believe is not true. You can believe what you want and I will believe what I want. I am asking you to please do not bash me or put me down just because I have a different belief in this product then you do, thank you. This is suppose to be a hobby where we can all come together and have fun but yet I can't say something without being attacked for my statement. Their PMDG 747 is very outdated and poor in my opinion, now when their v2 comes out I will be happy to give them credit if it is better. I am not one sided or someone who will only stick with one developer just because of their name or popularity. That is just like me saying you need to go try the iFly before you can say its not any good. Plus Flight1 is offering 30 day money back no questions asked refund. That is 100% right, one thing being the iFly 737 has the weather radar for ActiveSky "Next" and PMDG said they will not do a weather Radar for their 737 from what I hear.

IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1
Awesome, I hope you will like it as much as I do. My two favorite things are the smooth flight dynamics and the awesome soundset that sounds like your on the upper deck and way in front of the engines. Also its not to loud or quiet. Let us know what you think.

IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1
I do agree with that 100% iFly should really get the 747/F and 8i. But no one knows if they will be making those. They never say what their making or give release dates. So I guess we just have to wait and see.

IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1
I understand that, I may have over stated some things due to my happiness with iFly 747v2 but at the same time I only stated what I personally believe with the product. I also get irritated when someone says they like anything other then PMDG and get bashed for it. The way I typed no doubt is why I was jumped on it guess. But to my personal feelings I just prefer the iFly 747v2 over PMDG 747 or 777. Sometimes it just feels like if you state something you believe and it just happens not to line up with what others feel, your the bad guy. It seems that the forums has turned into more of a hunting ground then a place to talk and have fun. (Once again, my own personal feelings).

IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1
That is true, in FS9 I get 60fps, in FSX I get 30. Yes iFly already said the P3D version is coming, unknown on the release date. Here is where they said it is coming for P3D:

IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1
Well from my PC I get maybe 12-20 fps in the PMDG 777 and with the iFly 747-400v2 I get a solid 60 fps no matter were I am and what scenery I am using. For me it's as smooth as my Majestic Q400!

IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1
The 777 shot was FSX and the iFly 747 was in FS9, as for the zoom, it is the exact same between both sims (0.75). But I can see what you mean. As I said before everyone has their own personal likes and dislikes, I am in no way bashing on FSX or PMDG users as I also own many PMDG products. I was just stating my own personal like for the iFly 747 more is all.

IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1
No I am not, but I will say after 14 years of flight sim and more then 700 hours logged in the PMDG 777 and over 9000 hours in total on FS plus 8 years of "RW" aviation experience I would say the iFly is better and more realistic. But with that said the PMDG 777 is also a good airframe. I just personally believe iFly has made a better aircraft with their 747. I am not here to start an argument or fight over PMDG and iFly. I am only stating what I respectfully feel about this aircraft and the developer.

IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1
It is very reliable, as I have said above, this is by far the best addon that I have, I have most of PMDG's stuff and I know people may not like this statement but iFly's 747-400v2 is way better then anything PMDG has out today. iFly has used twice as many polygons then PMDG did with their 777. Below is two screeshots to compare the PMDG 777 with the iFly 747. Also keep in mind the iFly 747 is very frame rate friendly where we all know PMDG is not. PMDG 777 VC screenshot: And here is the iFly 747 on FS9: And here is the iFly 747 with the backlit lighting on: Now you can see how much clearer and crisp iFly has made their 747. And I hope you now see why I said iFly's 747-400v2 is far better then PMDG's products and even the level of realism is far deeper then PMDG which I thought was not possible. I know hardcore PMDG fans won't like that statement but the truth is iFly is far better with their 747!

IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1
You can set it in flight or before you start, however you want to. It works both ways. Personally I see no issue, but I have read that some people are having that issue. So I can't really say.

IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1
iFly does have the Time Acceleration Mode built in where you can go upto 8x with the autopilot holding just fine, I have flown a 10 hour leg with it at 8x and no issues what so ever! Best addon in my 700Gb of FS addons! Here is a screen shot showing the "Intelligent Cruise" options.
