  1. 2. My short feedback. Air Hauler has incredible detail and is a really fine program that allows you to do so many things in a realistic environment including management functions. BUT You are forced to play this thing in real time. As a starting pilot, you must fly everything yourself (later you can hire pilots). So, you must start and stop each mission completely in one go to get credit and build reputation. If you dont do this, you really get slammed and will never be successful and will loose money. Then you cannot hire extra pilots to do other missions, which is the only way to make this thing really work if you cant be in your plane flying around every day for long time periods. Even when you are off line, the game clock is still ticking. If you don´t do enough, your reputation, again, will suffer, and the above negative things will occur. SO, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO FLY CLOSE TO EVERY DAY, DO NOT GET THIS OTHERWISE FINE PROGRAM UNLESS THEY CHANGE THESE FACTS. And since the program has been around since 2009 and the developers will not answer my questions, I guess they won´t do this. What a shame.
  3. I thought such a topic would come handy. To kick start it, I would like to ask if someone's kind enough and make a West Atlantic (cargo variant) repaint on the DC-6 please? In reality, West Atlantic did never operate the type (Air Atlantique did). West Atlantic is basically a holding company for Atlantic Airlines (they "inherited" Air Atlantique) and West Air Sweden. West Atlantic operate a fleet consisting of BAE ATPs (would love to see a study level BAE ATP in P3D), 737s, 767s and CRJs. I think the West Atlantic livery (both the grey and the white one) looks great and would make for an excellent dress for the DC-6 especially in a nice, weathered condition.

  6. Hi all, I am very pleased to announce i have just uploaded the Varig's PP-VLA in cargo version. I found only one picture of this bird and, as i didnt finish yet the passenger version, i decided to release it asap, so you guys could enjoy a bit ( I can tell you, probably i will do some updates later on)...things sometimes takes too long ...hehehe. So, meet the Varig electra's cargo, used in 1970. Landing at Galeão Int. around 08:00am Clear sky Cargo: secret I hope you like.
  7. Now, this caught me by surprise... I got the chance to take a look at a preview of Lufthansa Cargo's livery for the PMDG 747, by Steve Dra. Knowing some of his paintings for the 777, I already knew the quality would be top-notch... I'll let the images speak for themselves, although I'm pretty sure they don't do justice to his work. I can only say I'm in love with this livery and will certainly log a ton of hours into it! So here's her, in a calm morning at EDDL's cargo ramp. Massive thanks to Steve for this gift. I'm pretty sure you guys will have her in your own hangars very soon -- for free, which is quite amazing considering the amount of work it takes to make something like this. Folks like Steve deserve all the recognition for their contribution to our hobby. More of his work here. Hope you guys like it! Regards,
  8. Hi fellow simmer. i want introduce you, our VATSIM official virtual cargo airline. http://www.aerocargointernacionalvirtual.com/ just friends having fun, feel the diference. "One year in the sky"
  9. We welcome you to Rotate virtual airline. We are a Cargo based airline flying only Boeing 777-200LRF aircraft. We offer something different from the normal cargo operations and with our T7 aircraft we can realistically fly routes from 30 mins to 15 hours in the one aircraft. Based out of Manchester uk our pilots will experience cargo operations all over the world. We have even teamed up with Empyral Virtual airlines who through out financial system are code share partners What this means to our pilots it has a more realistic feel to our operations with contracts flown on behalf of Empyral va on weekends. This allows our pilots to fly more routes and allows the va to be realistically financially rewarded. This is seen in many real cargo airlines but rarely seen in the virtual world. Using VAfinancials Rotate operates in a realistic way. Pilot pay rises are reviewed by rank only, We do not limit our pilots to aircraft types you can and will operate the t7 straight away . Allowing pilots to fly there favourite aircraft when they want too. In the future we will look into other aircraft types but financially and economically the triple 7 is the most economic in its class. So if you love the Boeings and especially the B777 and you prefer cargo in a realistic va then look no further we are here to give you the realistic cargo va you crave. Here at Rotate we aim to bring you the best virtual airline possible. With over 15 years experience in virtual airlines we are using our experience ,Knowledge and state of the art financial and planning software to bring you a as real as it gets virtual career. We will always look at new ideas and try and advance the virtual airline at every opertunity inline to how a real airline would operate. We aim to listen and implement what our pilots want to make it a virtual airline that people are proud of. We aim to keep Rotate virtual airline on the up and on the move. http://www.rotateva.com/
  10. On the way to work this morning I saw something very strange on the highway. It was a UPS delivery van pulling what looked like a special trailer with little wheels; it looked similar in style to most airport vehicles that are designed to be pulled by a tug. On this special little trailer was a UPS aircraft cargo container. Three sides were metal, one side was clear. You could see that it was fully loaded with packages through the clear side. I thought this was very strange for a number of reasons. a. Why on earth is an aircraft container on the highway? These are normally unloaded and sorted at the cargo facility at the airport. a-2. The normal plausible explanation might be that the container was going to be repaired or something. However, this was fully loaded with packages. b. If we can get past question 'a', why was it being pulled by a residential delivery truck instead of a tractor-trailer, lorry, semi, whatever you call it. c. Could a little airport trailer be roadworthy? Its wheels are tiny and it sits so low to the ground. I wish i could have gotten a picture. See my attached pictures for examples of the objects involved. (not exact...approximate)
  11. HA I feel awesome, although I bet if you read something somewhere in the manual or the paintkit instructions, you'll find this. BUT ANYWAYS If you put a box of black in the alpha channel, positionned over the cargo containers in the pmdg_777_fuse_1.dds, the cargo containers vanish from the exterior model. Thought those of you who like GSX might enjoy this, assuming you have photoshop!! SO happy that those stock ones can be removed, thanks for continuing awesome features, PMDG, you guys thought of everything!!

  14. hello guys I am new to the forum and the ngx and I was just needed some clarification please. During tutorial 2 I was testing the cargo fire system, on the tutorial it states that after I push the master fire warn system to cancel the bell, The FWD, AFT, DETECTOR FAULT, EXTINGUISHER, and DISCH lights all stay illuminated. however I get the AFT, FWD, DISCH and green EXTINGUISHER lights but not the DETECTOR FAULT LIGHT in the right corner above the DISCH. I was just wondering if I have missed something or if that is normal. sorry if this has already been asked or is a stupid question, thank you.
  15. Hello together, hoping everything is fine to you. I have a problem with the -400 freighter model. The problem is that the interior lights of the main deck cargo deck and forward and after cargo are disappearing after a few times of using the -400 freigter. I mean that the cargo decks are dark at night without any lights. I have no idea how this could happened. I re-insatlled the 747 many times but it happens again and again. After the re-install of the 747 the lights are all working! But after a few times the interior lights of the cargo decks disappearing. No idea why... The cockpit lights are working corrctly with any 747 model! I think this must be a bug but I am not sure. Maybe it can be a bug with the aircraft options. It occurs only with the freighter model. The cabin lights of the passenger models are working correctly. I have the latest version of the 747 No. 3.00.8466 Can you help me? Did anyone ever had this problem too? BR Thorben

  18. In August 1993, Turkish Airlines went into the airfreight business was with nothing more unlikely... than an Antonov 12 leased from Air Sofia (hence the LZ reg). LZ-SFK was the first ever An-12 to fly without its nose radome, which once housed the ROZ-1 ground mapping radar. 10 more planes would follow suit with this interesting Bulgarian modification (including VEGA with its ill-fated "Tsar Boris"). Unfortunately, info on Turkish An-12 ops is just as scant as why some An-12s flew without their bulging radomes. At least the latter makes a sleeker, better looker IMHO. Radomeless An-12 for FS2004. Work in progress by me. Note: the eyebrows were painted onto the texture; they are not part of the physical model because almost all of the radomeless An-12s had their eyebrows plugged not long after their radomes were removed.
