  1. I know, its all good. its just a game (ok ok, simulator ๐Ÿ™‚ ), all my original post intention was to simply understand if others experiencing it, or maybe I understood the systems wrong etc... I did not say that now the product is complete rubbish and i wont use it anymore because the LNAV cruise bank rate is incorrect. and i even concluded the post with: "Other than that its a great plane ! "
  2. Thank for your input ! I was thinking something in this direction. My theory was the it simply do not start the turn early enough, and once its understanding it, autopilot is sharpening the turn in order to catch the path. As i said before, i don't want to get into the claims of product price vs results. Ill just say the Fenix is a product of $60. And ill stop here.
  3. Thanks I didn't knew that. However, Fenix is on the same platform and has no problem to implement an almost perfect (IMO) lateral navigation performance. But lets drop it please. I don't want to get into another argument of products comparison. All I want in this topic is to understand if others are having the same finding as me. Period. Back to the topic. Found the below statement in pprune.org: "A/P and FD commands max bank of 25 degrees. Using LNAV, will normally only command 25 if a sharp turn is required on a SID, holding pattern, or at significant dog-leg in the airway at altitude. Most turns at altitude are shallow, less than 15 degrees."
  4. I am not getting excited too much by him.... I am in Avsim from 2014 I think and I know hes smartass comments and his (often) snob comments. Its OK, I still try to stay respectful as he is older than me. But yes, he is quick to judge and decide what is right and what what is wrong, and more then once has to say he's sorry in the end. All good.
  5. Again. the issue is not on the approaches and low altitude as the plane is allowed as much bank angle as needed anyway (up to 30 degrees in normal ops). The problem is at cruise and high altitude where the LNAV supposed to be in what's called 'soft mode' and ideally not overshoot 15 degrees bank angle.
  6. If you tell us that the real thing takes turns in cruise with usually 2 consecutive turns which at least 1 of them at 30 degrees bank angle i would say ok, as i trust you know your thingโ€ฆ @Bobsk8 and for you, what would you say about endless of issues that passed initial beta and after few patches got fixed/changed ? The pilots approved the beta right ? I mean look at Fenix that you know well. All the pilots said its working great and like the real thing. Since then it went through many changes and still waiting for complete rewrite of basically the whole thing.
  7. Yes Fenix LNAV is really good. On the other hand the VNAV is lacking. Well, i guess each one with the upโ€™s and downโ€™s ๐Ÿ™‚
  8. Just FYI, LNAV is no affected by the HDG bank angle limit selector.
  9. So you confirm the plane never take sharp turns of over 15 degrees bank angle during cruise ?
  10. Anyone else noticing LNAV getting degraded ? it simply cant complete turns with one smooth turn at a gentle turn rate. Currently even at cruise its making even a relatively small turn in 2 turns of 30 degrees bank. It starting turn nicely and all of a sudden it banking to 30 degrees to catch the route. For some reason LNAV was always the weak spot of PMDG. Other than that its a great plane !
  11. Honestly ? I would wait for the MAX. the rest are pretty much similar
  12. Its no secret that ground frication and runway WX conditions are totally wrong. I think Asobo confirmed it, and it will get some attention at some point...I hope...
  13. Yes. I am not an airliner pilot or a flight engineer but from reading articles about it, reverse thrust is most effective on wet runway and higher speeds. it looses it effectiveness pretty quick below 100kt
  14. Which will be incorrect behavior as well. According to landing distance calculator, reverse thrust has close to 0 effect on dry runways. It has most effect on wet/icy runways. You can also check it on your Fenix EFB.
  15. Almost no affect. I can stop the plane in pouring rain using brakes(not even full pressure) alone in about 3000 ft of runway. Reverse wont affect it at all. Try yourself.
  16. Also good to mention that currently in MSFS there is barely any use for reverse thrust anyway. The sim does not simulate wet and other factors that might affect braking action.
  17. Not quite sure I understand this part. At which point other than reducing reverse thrust does the throttle moves fwd ? The way i see it the Boeing has a dedicated levers gor reverse thrust, and they go backwards to increase reverse thrust.
  18. Hold on, so you pressing a button and then you move your throttle fwd which moves the actual reverse throttle backwards ?? I dont think my brain agrees with that ๐Ÿ™‚
  19. Problem in the PMDG (maybe its an MSFS issue), if you go from full reverse to idle (pressing F1) it shoots your plane as if your throttle is at 80% N1. Now Fenix on the other hand made it very nice, when you in idle, you press F2 once and you go to idle reverse, you press again you in full reverse, you press F4 you in idle reverse, you press again you going back to idle. I wish PMDG had it like that.
  20. I must tell you, i tried to watch some of these streamers you mentioned. I got a headache after 5 minutes ๐Ÿ™‚ They ALL have some weird tendency of jumping between the cockpit to the passenger wing view ENDLESLLY ! I don't get it. They do it even during takeoff roll and the plane all going sideways and they catch it last minute... ๐Ÿ˜„
  21. TBH, I watched one of them exactly a minute and it was pretty much a Deja vu of the 737-800 pre-release which was Deja vu of the 737-700 pre-release ๐Ÿ™‚ I love PMDG but it simply pretty much the same plane to get the same hype as the initial release for MSFS...
  22. TBH, i didn't even knew you can go the cabin from the cockpit in the 737 ๐Ÿ˜† never visited any cabin in any plane. In Fenix, 1st thing i did is to disable it.
  23. And it cant be a better time than now, when live weather is broken for almost a week ๐Ÿ˜„
