  1. Not something we are looking into right at this moment. As for the future, you never know.
  2. Hello everyone, Just to introduce myself, my name’s John and I'm part of the development team at Just Flight, and I'm currently working on FS Traffic. Whilst all has been quiet, I can confirm that development of FS Traffic is progressing well. Over the past few months we have been working with a team of artists who have been creating over 700 liveries across 43 models, comprising of the various real world aircraft types/engine. Recently we made the decision to add the 747-400 to the fleet. Here’s a preview of her still waiting to be painted. To address some of the questions and concerns posted this forum and elsewhere; like any other developer we are at the mercy of the simulator when it comes to limitations but we will work with Asobo to iron these out over time. FS Traffic won’t replace any live traffic but we will be including flight plans for both pre and post pandemic years, along with tools so that you can manage flight plans and aircraft to your hearts content. Let me allay any fears about experiences with much older traffic expansions; FS Traffic is a completely new product with brand new models and code. It's being developed by our in-house team so you can expect the same high level of support as with any of our aircraft products. I'll bring you more info soon and will regularly be dipping into the forums to answer any questions and discuss any feedback you have. In the meantime here are some previews of the modelling and livery work.
  3. Also have the same issue. I first thought it was my internet connection however I manually cached Barcelona and it looks the same.
  4. Oh yea, most people will be playing it just to dabble around and wont have any idea about flying. Even if 1 percent of those people stick with and learn, then it wont be a bad thing! I still remember the excitement of getting fs2000 when I was 10 years old. I spent my year or too not understanding why I couldn't get Concorde out of Meigs field without running out of runway!
  5. If you want it to be a game, it can be a game. If you want it to be a serious simulator then it can be that too. This was always the case and always will be. I don't get people that get hung up forever arguing about this.
  6. This is fantastic news. I may have to get P3D v5 just to fly this Concorde. Hopefully this will come to MSFS once the sim matures and other developers invest. The market potential for MSFS is huge, even with a complex study level aircraft like this.
  7. Thanks for the analysis and apologies, my fault for getting the topic way off course. I look forward to seeing how the AH Concorde progresses.
  8. It’s worth giving this a watch. The guy seems knowledgeable of the correct procedures and goes through the shortfalls. I hope I don’t sound too harsh to the developer, I think the external model is great in most parts especially the overall shape and the cockpit is better than anything we’ve seen in a sim. I think some people just like to work in certain ways. It’s a shame though.
  9. Apologies I didn’t explain clearly. You have to bring the You bust 250 knots well before 40 seconds at MTOW. You have to cut the afterburners well before the FSlabs Concorde so it’s defiantly not correct. I was told that the people at brooklands offered the developer a hand, but this was declined. We really need these knowledgeable people to work on the next project if it’s going to be decent! John
  10. Hi Im a bit of a Concorde fanatic and I have had both the SSTsim Concorde and the FSlabs Concorde, both of which I loved. I would like to see a decent Concorde for the new sim ASAP because as suggested above, the knowledge and expertise to produce such a sim won’t be around forever. From renderings alone it looks impressive, the geometry of the cockpit looks right and the external look spot on too. That gives me a little optimism however I also thought the same about the Colimata Concorde. To answer Ray, the development seems painfully slow, some basic autopilot functions still missing such as max climb, auto throttle is sloppy, the sounds leaves much to be desired and the flight dynamics don’t seem correct. E.g you can bust 250 knots at 20 degrees pitch 20 seconds after lifting off at max weight. I’m not much of a I’m depth systems person but I do know when the basics aren’t right. Fingers crossed for this project. John
  11. I do remember this from a promo shot and one with an actual tornado but never seen any screenshots or videos from users of the software. Not entirely sure as to the situations in which they appear in sim as there's very little detail of how REX generates them or what data they use. Maybe it would be easiest to have a certain random element to tornado generation. You wouldn't want them appearing anywhere CB's are reported though. It also depends whether we are talking purely about supercell tornadoes too!
  12. Hello , let me say how fantastic it is to see one of my favourite storm chasers and YouTubers in this forum. As a kid growing up here in Britain where we hardly ever have severe weather my mind was blown by Tornadoes and storms. I saw a documentary about a news station in Oklahoma that chases storms and broadcasts live footage from a chopper. Always thought it would be brilliant to recreate in a sim. Realistically As Skip says It would probably be best for third party to create this, it's sort of a niche thing. I read that REX skyforce already includes supercell structure and tornadoes but I've never seen any user screenshots of this, I guess most people wouldn't know where or what to look for. At the moment I'm just looking forward to realistic CB's, after jumping to xplane and dealing with that weather (or lack of) engine for the past 3 years!
  13. Unfortunately I don't have time to sit at my PC spending hours in cruise on transatlantic flights for example, so I find it useful. I never would go beyond 8x as most autopilots can't keep up. It never seemed to be a problem in the past for myself. If I turn traffic to 0 the problem doesn't occur as there is no reload.
  14. Hi I in need of some help. A while ago i posted topic in the official prepared forum, which is that I've been having issues since v3.1, in that the simulation crashes after using simulation rate greater than 8x. Once going back down to 4 and below the traffic re loads, carries on a for a few moments, then crashes. This happens regardless of any add ons installed etc. Its completely ruined my experience with prepar3d. If anyone could offer any help id appreciate it. thanks.
  15. Hi. I've been having a problem since p3d v3.2 whereby after using time accel greater than 4x speed. The game crashes. This happens using even the default aircraft and default scenery. It doesn't usually happen the first time. For example when doing a long haul flight i may use time accel to around 8x but slow down to make start a decent. Its completely ruined the sim for me since 3.2 came out. I did start a topic on the official forum but to no luck. I have now done a factory restore of my pc but the problem still exists. If anyone could assist please? thanks
  16. Got my refund. I was under no impression this was going to be a new flight sim however i'm rather disappointed by performance. Lets hope for much better by the end of the year. The sky looks just awful too, that horrid brown haze that shrouds everything further than about 20nm away.
  17. Hi all. Today i finally took the dive and bought flight school (a small dive ill admit) Anyway I'm both impressed and disappointed. The scenery is brilliant, i was surprised to see objects such a power stations etc. However i find myself extremely frustrated. I have a half decent graphics card. AMD R9 370. I run Prepar3d v3 on my system with high end addons and do just fine. I've found that when i set radeon settings to 4 x super sampling as i would with prepar3d or fsx steam, I end up with extremely low fps. Around 12fps in some lessons. With multi sampling the AA is absolutely awful. I've tried many different combinations with no luck I would appreciate it if anyone can offer some advice, otherwise ill be requesting a refund from steam. Thanks.
