Thanks to everyone who have taken the time to read and answer to this topic. From the comments ive seen, i think that is clear that the fms and avonics are really well simulated in a lot of fsx/p3d addons so maybe we can just move on to discuss a bit more about the flight dynamics. Are the flight dynamics of high end addons like the pdmg 737 or the aerosoft a320 comparable to the real thing? I know tha some of you have already posted a response to that question but it would be awesome if we can have more opinions and discusions Thanks Ricardo Muelle

Thank you very much moises and everyone who have posted in this topic, thats the kind of answer i was looking for!!! I just want to ask you one more question is it common for other pilots to use addons like the pdmg as a training tool? I really apreciate your help Thanks Ricardo Muelle

It would be awesome if we can have an opinion from a real 737 pilot who uses the pdmg 737 (: Ricardo Muelle

A few months ago i bought the pdmg 737 aircraft and i have to say thay i really enjoy it. I am still learning the sistems which from what i know are very realistic. In the case of the flight dynamics ive never seen people discusing about them, in my opinion the plane feels really smooth and behabe loggicaly. Since i am not a pilot or a 737 frequent flyer i cant provide a good answer to that, so what do you guys think, are the pdmg 737 flight dynamics accurate? Sorry for my bad english Thanks Ricardo

Since prepar3d modified the fsx.cfg, the LOD tweak does not work anymore but there is a new one. Here is a link with the full explanation: http://www.avsim.com/topic/451337-interesting-find-autogen-treenight-lighting-view-distance-tweak/

Yes, there is a way by configuring the p3d.cfg i am not in my computer right now so i cant tell you step by step how to do it, tomorrow i can give you a full answer

Prepar3d Hardware
papaja replied to Groovy_Kincaid's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etc
Hi Groovy, As you know prepar 3d v2.2 or fsx are very CPU demanding like 90% and not much GPU demanding so i think you have to consider buying a better CPU like an i5 4670k or an i7 4770k. i suggest you to safe some money in the GPU buying a gtx760 or a 770 for getting a better CPU like those i mention above. Have a good day!!! -
I actually have an i5 2500k at 4ghz but i am not very satisfied with it performance in prepar 3d v2.2 i am getting like 18 - 22 fps in the pdmg 737 in Dubai with high settings(note that i have also aplied some tweaks to the game). What i want to know is if an i7 4770k will be able to hold over 30 fps in this type of situations and how much extra performance will i get over the i5 2500k. Considering this i will take my decision if i upgrade my cpu or not. Just to add, i have a gtx670. Any type of information will be very helpful Thanks Ricardo
