Updated GPS Nav Data for GA
Correct, the SID/STARS are in the Navigraph data I purchase, but the xPlane 530/430 does not utilize them... Its not needed in my fleet of different GA airplanes. =) And no, I dont use either SIDs or STARS on Pilotedge (as I also dont in real life.) Plus 1. =) Edit: I did find this after some searching this morning.. Im not exactly sure what it means though: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/451287-gtn-750-is-excellent-mini-review/?p=3074492 TJ

Problem with Weather in P3DV2
You are not the only one seeing this issue. On December 22nd I flew from KAST down the river to KHIO early morning. KAST was IFR due to fog, which looks BEAUTIFUL. I climbed to about 3k feet and exited the lower level of clouds into beautiful sky with mountains to my left poking through... P3D is remarkably beautiful and really gives Xplane10 a run for its money. As I was about 5 miles out of KKLS (about halfway) I experienced rain above the clouds. Then as the fog ended below me, the fog suddenly disappeared (IE if I turned my head around to look out the back of the 182, there was no fog visible.) This may be my inexperience with ASN. I used the trial version to get a feel for the direct weather injection and am keeping an eye out on other products, but I did want to let you know that I have also experienced rain above the clouds. Updated GPS Nav Data for GA
Please keep me posted.. I am brand new to P3D (about two weeks) and am also debating a GTN or MS purchase.. Let me know which one you choose and why. Staying current is extremely important to me... Im used to Xplane where Navigraph updates the 430/530 data automatically each cycle for me, and I enjoy flying on pilotedge, where the currency is a bit bigger issue. I am very curious on how you can update the GTN with current data. Thanks for any help. TJ

Turbo Inlet Temp?
I've never flown a turbo plane IRL. However, is it normal at 39" man pressure for the t.i.t. Gauge to be well over the red line? (OAT was 31d C) If no, what are the tricks to maintaining below redline turbo temps on climb out? After 200ish feet I power back to 2400 rpm and around 1k ft I throttle back to 30" man pressure. What am I doing wrong? Or what is wrong with the model... Or is this normal and so long as you don't exceed redline for too long is it ok? Anyone who can shed some light it would be most appreciative! Thx!
