i put a 10% fuel each tank..and rev'd up...the throttle..my N1 on 737 panel...showed 50% max.. No speed to get it aloft! Hmmmmmm.....Project Airbus A319 was such a nice model...too... I sure thank you...it's a mystery to me....all the things that should get it going..have flunked! (Scratching my head trying to figure it out)

The PA A318 worked great..got it airborne..now the A319 (FS9 for use in FSX) is a strange cookie...I did fresh install..put the FSX 737-800 panel in set my fuel to "zero's" and by "cracky" the thing should've been flying..but it creeped down runway..got only to 90knots by end of runway I'm not getting acceleration down the runway...something's amiss...it should have flown.. What could it be???? Even tried the A318 aircraft cfg..stuff for the A319...did not work..still creeped..no acceleration..

I sure thank you..for the tips...tell you what...let me do some more work with these models...based on what we have..so far..and i'll reply back...as soon as i get some test runs....hopefully..this will remedy..the issue.. I saved that link...in favorites.. thanks buddy roos!! Chris

Yes, they are ready to fly..and downloaded Project Airbus models...A318 A319 A320 A321 here at avsim. long ago.. I had placed the models..in a pending folder until i wanted to use them... Yes, tried the 737 panel also... And when i started...they won't leave the ground...ground speed only gets to like 80knts and i run out of runway! I've attempted to load "0" fuel..tried to reconfigure aircraft cfg..no luck... There is something amiss...i'm probably not doing something right...but can't figure out what it is.... I have searched far and wide..on the forums..and not able to locate my question: Why are these Project Airbus models (A318, A319, A320, A321)((FS9 for use in FSX)) refusing to gain speed and take off? I set my realism to easy...and used the default panel from 737-800 in fsx I have attempted to reconfigure aircraft.cfg..set fuel to "0" nothing is working... If i attempt to configure aircraft.cfg..the plane does not show up... Anyway..I'm stumped... If anyone remembers what a workaround was...feel free to share..if you get time.. thank you in advance.. I have tested features..of the DX10 Scenery Fixer version 2.11 on my existing..Intel ® graphics dual core 4 thread// Core I3-3220 at FSDreamteams KLAX I used the BufferPools..and my Affinity Mask 14.... I run the FX Fiber Acceleration to boost frame rates...(only a bit..but works for me) I run the AI Controller version 1.4 Set Frame Rate to 30 FPS Frame rates WITHOUT the DX10 Scenery Fixer FSX worked fine..based on my fx.cfg...(big drop when you pull onto the runway..and make that arching turn) Frame rates WITH the DX10 Scenery Fixer with only water features..worked great...about the same..FPS as without it..plus i like the "white caps" on the water..wave action..thingy... Activating the light effects..and clouds.//NO shadows....DX10 Scenery fixer..an OK performance on frame rates..i would fly with those..without "cussing too bad"..:-) I clicked the rain features..and had the sim..custom on rain to low...Not so good...on frame rates...bounced all over the place..above the cloud layer..got the 30.. in the cloud layer with rain...anywhere from 5.6-22.0... Anyway,..i'll keep piddling with it from time to time..to see what this thing can..do..i'll check additional tutorials..on it..also.. Folks, I have a Intel ® HD Graphics card that came with my Gateway..I3-3220 6GB..DDR3) Hey it was on sale....:-) I forgot to check my current version of Direct X..and noticed it had a DX11... Stevex DX10 Scenery Fixer..has some real nice features..and decided to purchase... My DX11 and my current "tweaked,re-tweaked...re-re-tweaked fx.cfg..with my target of 30 FPS (Oh, i use that FX Fiber Acceleration program..gives me a little boost on FPS) Will there be any advantage to install...Stevefx DX10..Scenery fixer? Maybe try it out..for the water features?...just asking.. I know we simmers..always trying to get the best fluidity..on our game...just wanted to see if SteveX DX10 could help out! I used the ADE to place hold short node (red dot) at all the runways of FSDT KLAX...tested the scenery....all ai flights and my own aircraft i was flying were cleared for takeoff...!! "Whew"!!! nice work-around"... I'll keep looking at it...to see if any other issues pop-up...but for now..this post is answered Thank you, Dave! Regards, Chris

I have read thru all of the forum discussions on the FSDT forum page..about the Stuck AI that occurs at KLAX..seems every other aircraft is instructed to line up and wait..however the FSX ATC seems to award clearance for the first aircraft but not the second..in line..it sits and times out!...HAS a FIX been discovered..? This may be old news...but i just recently purchased this scenery..to add to my KDFW and KORD... but right now...it's a headache and painful to watch...an aircraft...vanish into oblivion! Suggestions already included...HOLD and START nodes..that came with scenery..closer to runway..etc..but that doesn't work..either.. Your input welcome, Regards, Chris

Just a quick update, re-entered the aircraft into FSX that I usually fly...and reserved all of my others to perhaps a later time... I tested the scenery OMAA and OMDB and was able to originate a flight without the "fatal error-pop up" thanks to all who responded..and I tweaked my fsx.cfg..also..to aide in optimizing..the performance of FSX. Jim...YOU THE MAN! I went and cleaned out and placed in a workspace so to speak: my add-on, ai aircraft..and trash i didn't remember putting in SimObjects (grinning a bit) and only had defaults...I can happily report..OMAA and OMDB scenery worked just fine! NOW that i cleaned up Simobjects...i gotta go to work...I'm glad i went ahead and took your instruction--- now i can return the aircrafts I fly and AI traffic that i really use! I put a donation in the coffers..not a whole lot..but am appreciative..for all the help..and knowledge...AVSIM contributors provide.. As I work in the aircraft I'll test the OMAA and OMDB and report the culprit..it's hiding in swarm of aircrafts..and I mean swarm!! Respectfully, Chris

Thanks Jim for the input..on the Sim1.dll CTD...so far the FSX.exe "properties" is checked to "Run as Administrator" and to run thru..the aircraft recent installations.would be gruesome...lol..;however, if i get the "nerve" to start from scratch to uninstall / reinstall...everything just for OMAA and OMDB then i will return a reply that all is running fine at these two locations. I will keep efforts up..to get my FSX running good..and hopefully get a "fix" on these two culprits...in the UAE! :-)

Folks..I have several times attempted to originate a flight and/or fly into the area of the United Arab Emirates: OMAA or OMDB and get that infamous "Fatal error has occurred Microsoft Flight Simulator X is restarting" Thinking I had a corrupted freeware scenery (normally i never do) I removed it to the default scenery and still..got the "fatal error message". I've only had this particular area mess up on me... Any tips or has anyone experienced similar issue? I have the UIAutomationCore.dll..installed correctly..(this was based on suggestions to my problem, however, "NO WORKEE") Any input...welcome.. Respectfully, Chris

Cruise altitude usually between 26k and 27k Pitot Heat is off... Thanks for replying..it's probably something staring me right in the face to adjust but can't put my finger on it....:-)

Folks, this may have been addressed moons ago but yet to find a remedy. My pre-defined altitudes are plugged in and autopilot engaged; however, when the altitude is reached the Altimeter dances up and down and won't level the aircraft to the pre-defined altitude entry. I usually click autopilot button a few times until the altimeter "calms down" and finally catches the altitude and levels but that is annoying. I noticed on my Vistaliners 727's and DC-9's and some others but would like any input on what to adjust in Aircraft config or is it something else?..can't find a solution yet... Weird event: I have my settings set..and pick and chose the SIDS/STARS airports i want AI Controller to activate..i flew from JFK to ORD then to DFW on a AA Vistaliner 727 (yes, i'm retro junky) I have DFW FS Dreamteam begin my descent.my pc pauses to load scenery aspects so i patiently wait..while in mid-air/ then after it loads..start to land the aircraft..MY joystick loses it's functionality! No flaps, no reverse engines, no steering "my poor passengers screaming out their lungs" Has anyone had this occur? if so...have you got a remedy? I'm clueless....again! :-)
