  1. Excellent, thanks everyone! Plenty of places to explore. If people still have more, please add them!
  2. Freeware I liked the PS Panels 737 or for a payware panel the Sky-Decks. For the complete 737NG package, the iFly is just fantastic!
  3. Thanks Dan208B! Looks good, I have Tongass Fjords but yet to explore it so may be time. Appliance, No preference on anything. Any route that anyone finds of interest for any reason I'd like to explore it. There must be places people like flying in FS for one reason or another. Thought it would be good to share those routes here. I always enjoy a quick hop YMML-YSCB using VOZ scenery as one example but enjoy long flights equally.
  4. Looking for the best routes worth flying in a 737 type aircraft. Anywhere in the world will do and for whatever reason you think the route is worth flying! Looking for places to go with the iFly 737, thanks!
  5. I don't know but it's a 'quality' thread now.
  6. Same response as before, don't care! I have so much FS9 stuff I have still yet to fully explore and some addons I have yet to even start with! It's not as if the FSX addons are banned for me and I will never see them. When/if I switch to FSX I can have those too! If that's in 10 years from now and there is no great flight sim products around at that time, many may start to get bored with their old FSX and old addons. For me, this will be all new and exciting and I'll still have 10+ years of flight simming to look forward to 10 years from now! The greatest upside, the bugs will likely be gone from the addons and the payware prices will be cheaper and some maybe even free. A million free and pay addons will be out and established so you can pick and choose only the best addons. You don't have to start with something and then a couple of years later find it's been replaced by something else. Finally and best of all, if you follow all of the above, the journey could easily span 20 years and it will all likely be completely painless from any angle you look at it. You just can't lose if you are using FS9! lol
  7. I read people jumping ship and couldn't care less. Love FS9, does everything I need brilliantly! 10 years from now when I can buy an average PC and FSX will run brilliantly too I may go to FSX or another option if it is there. I have something to enjoy now and I know there is at least one future flight sim waiting for me I know for certain I will enjoy. I'm living in a perfect world!
  8. Thanks ronzie for the suggestions.
  9. Thanks, didn't even think to check for a forum.
  10. I have Active Sky Evolution on my home PC. Can I also install and use it on my laptop? I would only be using one computer at any given time so would not be attempting to make 2 connections at the same time. I would either be using one or the other. (PC or laptop) Secondly, any tips to get the best fps possible in bad weather? I find I can max everything out in FS9 and use the iFly 737 with constant fps but when I have bad weather, the fps really drops. All other times fps are always very steady even using FS9 default bad weather. Issues only occur with Active Sky bad weather. I've been using the default FS9 textures, no mods there.
  11. Can someone tell me if all these iFly fps issues are related to both 2D and VC or just VC in FS9?
  12. I always use 2 drives to backup anything important. If you only use one you have to hope the drive will give you warning it is going to fail and when it does start to fail you have to hope all content can be accessed. Drives are cheap nowadays, losing stuff is a nightmare.
  13. Haha, yes, the DVD version as mentioned on the other forum if I can ever get my support ticket at Flight1 answered regarding stock. It's a slow process trying to give people money for some reason? I already own the PMDG from years ago just never got to use it as mentioned in my previous post. I don't need to buy it.
  14. Thanks, yes, I've been reading up and certainly appears the common thought amongst people. I have the PMDG from years ago but before I could start learning it work took over and I never had another chance. Now I see there is the iFly. I haven't flown either PMDG or iFly but I am going to purchase the iFly and start with it first. Later, I will also try the PMDG. The 737 is my fav aircraft so I'm more than happy to buy 2 versions and learn 2 versions. FS is such a great sim and we have so many options for addons. Can't believe MS didn't continue on with it.
  15. Thanks guys! I'll take a look at those. I'm returning to FS after a long period because of lack of time (work). Never going to let that happen again! So hard to come back to FS and remember everything. Looking to learn either the PMDG 737 or iFly 737 and if flying those aircraft, the pink line just doesn't seem to cut it for realism. haha Thanks again!
  16. I did use Airport Chart by Holger Mass but see it no longer works in Windows 7. Is there any other alternative software that will allow you to not have to use FS's pink line?
  17. A HUGE thanks for keeping Milton Shupe's aircraft alive! I've been away from FS for a few years, came back and started going though my old FS links. Devastated to find so many great sites gone. I didn't have all Milton Shupe's aircraft and almost died when I found his site shut down. Luckily, 5 minutes later I found this thread! Thanks again!
