Where is the reflections setting?

Yesterday I had installed KTNP as well as my ORBX scenery and it was doing this very thing that’s why today I thought I’d start fresh and just download KTNP without ORBX and it’s still the same. Though I wonder if in the Scenery Library if the 29Palm library is suppose to be greyed out I can’t move it around at all

Yup! The 29Palms library is at the top of my P3D list and it’s greyed out with a check mark so I guess that means it’s installed

I am experiencing issues with my KTNP scenery in V5. The airport is compatible with the new sim per 29Palms, and I did select P3Dv5 when downloading this product but in the sim, the main runway 8/26 is really blurry and has a green texture to it. I do not have any ORBX scenery installed yet, and this is the only add-on I have in V5 so far. So I was wondering if maybe someone on here has KTNP downloaded and it’s working fine? Because I’m having issues with it. I did shoot 29Palms a message but no response as of yet so I’m just trying to see if I can figure this out on my own. Thanks

So I just found out that when it rains it really pours! Whenever it rains it just goes straight through the whole airplane lol. That’s a interesting bug but funny! I’m sure someone has reported that to Lockheed already 😆

Hello Ray I’m sorry I didn’t reply back I had tried to get it to work with v4.5 for about an hour that day with no luck. I’ve since switched to v5 and I know for a fact if I had trouble with getting it to work with 4.5 there’s no way I’d be able to do it with this new updated sim so I think for now I’ve thrown in the white towel with RC.

Yeahhh that’s the one that refuses to connect to my simulator lol! It’s fine though it is in beta after all. I opened a ticket with HiFi already just waiting to hear back from them.

So I have found there are only two of my programs that do not work with V5. Active Sky for P3Dv5, and 29Palms KTNP Airport for P3Dv5. Other than that, everything else including UTL seems to be working. Just gotta iron out some bugs and I’ll be in business! I do notice if I power up the sim after my computer has been shut down, I initially get a CTD. But after that it doesn’t crash so that’s something else I gotta figure out. Overall it’s a nice looking sim. I can tell right off the bat that my performance will be so much better. Also, it looks less game-ey if that makes any sense. I like it so far

Didn’t work, I tried. I did try and install MakeRwys v4.91 and it failed to make any data files so I’m stumped

Anyone here got Proatcx to work in v5? It says it can’t find makerunways.exe... I was afraid the program wouldn’t be compatible....

Idk it keeps asking for a registry key so I just kept pressing ok then it downloaded and now it’s saying “looking for registry for FSX install path” and I tried to direct it to my P3D.exe but it’s saying not found

Hello, how do I make RC recognize P3Dv4.5? I have tried to link it to my P3D.exe but it won’t accept it. The program keeps asking for FSX-SE.exe. Thanks

Hey Bert I’ve been trying this program and it’s really cool, I’m actually getting smoother gameplay as opposed to Nvidia Control Panel. I just have one issue. Whenever I bring up a third party 2D panel my screen flashes in and out. Do you experience this as well? It’s just whenever I move the 2D window around or if I press the windows home button my whole P3D screen goes crazy until I finish the task and it’s back to normal. Doesn’t seem to effect performance any though

I have never heard of RTSS... I only have the Nvidia control panel and I. Have tried a half refresh rate on my computer but it makes my sim look ugly and notchy

Anyone in this group know of a good 30hz monitor at 1080p? My current monitor is 60hz but only goes down to 50hz which is all fine and dandy but anytime my FPS dip below these numbers I get stutters. I keep my sims frames in sync with my monitor refresh rate so the solution to my problem is getting a 30hz monitor because no matter what situation I’m in I can always make 30fps in my sim. So any 30hz monitors that you know of please drop them below! Thanks

Hello fellow simmers. Does anyone have a list of which ORBX airports will work without their respected regions? Or just any general leads of maybe people that know some off the top of their heads? I own KBZN, KIDA, 65S, KTVL, KSTS, KPSP, KMBS, KGPI, and L35. I would like to know if maybe some Alaskan airports are good to go with just the base pack? Or what about KMRY, or KSFF? Even with my i7-8700K and RTX 2070, with all my other stuff running in the background my system falls on its face with a region installed I just can’t run them.

For all of my ProATC users, I cannot figure out how to give my AI traffic proper call signs with this ATC program. Almost every other AI transmission, ProATC refers to the traffic as just “one”. An example would be: “One requesting engine start up” “One engine start approved”. Even though it’s a Southwest 73W. I have UTL installed for my traffic but even before when I was using the default ATC with P3D my airline traffic has real call signs. So I know it has nothing to do with UTL. This only happened once I made the switch to this third party ATC program. So is this just happening to me or is this just normal for ProATC?

I actually ditched RXP for F1 because the RXP GTN screen was really notchy and not smooth at all. When I would zoom in and out it was like 5 fps on the screen I hated that. With my F1 GTN it’s as smooth as butter... when it works 🙃

Need some help. I am experiencing frequent crashes with my Flight1 GTN 750. Right before it crashes or freezes, I usually get a “TAWS Not Available” Audible warning then it just freezes up usually making my sim very slow as well. Sometimes the Garmin system just freezes and I’m able to recycle my avionics and it’ll come back to life like normal. Sometimes I can fly all day and no freezes or crashes occur it’s totally random. But the issue is, it’s happening more frequently now. Almost every flight I try and make. What’s odd is, it’s only the 750. My 650 which sits right beside it never acts up. I went into the F1 forums and was suggested that it could be my computer system is running out of resources. I have an i7-6700K with a RTX 2070, as well as 32 gigs of RAM. So I was kinda skeptical but thought I’d check into it. I cleaned my HDD With a program that wipes Old files and such off the disk so it’s not as bogged down, and I also applied an Affinity Mask so my first two usable cores were free and P3D used the last 10. So I then put my GTN products on core 0 since my sim wasn’t using that core but I still got a crash so I have run out of ideas lol. It’s such a nice product but I can’t even make it work on my computer and it’s frustrating because I actually have a decent rig that should be able to run this thing with no issues. While simming, I do run ASP4, Rex SF, Rex EF, and ProATC/X in the background but I’m sure lots of folks are doing the same with no issues. So any advice would be appreciated as to what’s going on with my F1 product! Thanks!

Yes SUPER easy took all of 5 minutes. The only thing I want to tackle next is updating these UTL airline liveries they’re god awful. I thought I could wait on the “power pack” or whatever they told us back in 2017, buuuuuut I think it’s safe to say at this point it’s not coming I think UTL was DOA when it first came out.
