This is NO issue with PMDG 747-400 but if you have an old unistall FSX and you never did a registry clean and then reinstall fsx again it will cause an error with the sound files on fsx only when flying the 747. You will have to unistall fsx in control panel not on disk after that its so important to do a registry clean, Then you have to do a clean install of FSX that will solve the problem.

I had the very same problem so i got mad so i did a fresh install of Windows 7 and FSX also PMDG 777-200LR and it works my advice is do not mess with the settings when flying the pmdg 777 dont end the flight then right away load another 777 as this will conflict with the issues as stated above. One more try you could do is System restore on Windows that may work.

I am so angry with PMDG as my 777-200 will longer work as all i get when trying to fly the plane is no wheels and no cockpit display. I had an issue with simulator and i rolled the settings back to an earlier date to before i first installed the pmdg 777 and once i did i got the problem and i tried to install it and reinstall but now success. PMDG please help i may even have to uninstall my windows 7 and put a fresh copy of windows on just to make my disk copy of pmdg 777 work again.

I am so happy now its working! Finally i managed to do it correctly install. Thank you! I am happy to tell you its working! yay. I have all the textures and runways markings It's Amazing! Love it. And the Sun looks great too.

The problem with REX is its an Manual install and you have to know where to install the file.I have both and flight environment wins for me as its so easy to install not like REX to complex for people who dont know much aboutmanual installing. I spent 6 hours last night trying to get REX working and at 2am i give up! I done what the REX told me to do and still no textures and runway markings just the default weather. I think i will get my money back on REX. My comment to REX make REX easier to install!
