There is a LOT of good quality freeware NZ scenery available for FS2004 Go to flightsim.com and seach for New Zealand or for Lawrie Roche. The first gave me 130 entries and the second 84.. Open your eyes and you´ll see.

Hi My ailerons are going spiky . You can se the aircraft bank in small spiky movements. My yoke is a Saitek Pro flight. 1.5 years old. I have done the following: Calibrating my yoke, tried all kinds of sensitivity and deadzone settings, fiddled with FSUIPC. Its hasnt changed anything. Any suggestions ?

Hi, I just bought the Fairchild 24 the other day. It looks awesome and has a very nice feel over it, BUT I have a problem. I have no electricity, the avionics go out after a few minuts. The checklist says to turn Generator ON. But i cant find any generator button anywhere. I have tried starting manually and with Ctrl+E and it happens using both ways. the chraging gauge is in red and says 7,5 volts or something like that. I have read the manual, the checklist and I have seen the youtube walkaround. I have the Fairchild 24 installed in P3D 2.5 So for now, the Fairchild is grounded. I hope someone here has a solution, so that I can start enjoying this pretty little bird. Andrés

Ok, I´ll give an example. My last try to make a ILS approach was: following the gps flightplan to EKCH. Autopilot on NAV and ALT, radios set to the ILS, course set on the HSI. Altitude 2000ft AGL (which is well below the glideslope. Speed 130, flaps 1. The localizer was captured, but the glideslope no! This approach I´ve done many times in other AC without any problems. I have also tried the MU, same approach, but approaching the ILS with VORLOC and altitude set. Same result. I´ve tried different speeds etc. Same result. I would really appreciate some help.

Hi, I hope someone will be able to help me with this. I basically cant make a decent ILS approach using the autopilot APR button. Its very confusing because its the first time I´ve had this problem with an AC and I´ve made hundreds of ILS approaches over the years with all kinds of AC from GA, over turboprops to tubes. The Duke, the PMDG JS41, the Ifly 737 just to name a few. Untill this AC addon, ILS approach has been something completely standard and easy. I´m so confused with this one that I hardly know where to begin and what to ask. So what can the MU-2 do and what cant it do. The manual doesnt help much. It only says NAV mode only. Could someone from flysimware or someone else who has made a lot of ILS approaches in this specific plane explain to me exactly what it means and how to do it? Thanks in advance Andrés

Wel, I have given up. Its been hours of tweaking and I cant make it work. I have even tried installing it as a simple popup in the C172 and all I get is a black screen. I´m VERY tired of this Radar gauge And yes, I have the VC++2013 x86 installed and have had them all the time.

So as a follow up, could someone please confirm if this is right or wrong. The install of Rolands Radar doesnt work for me. I have downloaded the zip from flysimware, I have installed the gauge, the panel cfg, I have downloaded and installed the VC2013 C++ x86 libraries (they were already installed before) I have tested both FSX-SE and P3Dv2.5 Both are fresh installs, 3 and 1 week respectively Result: No Radar and both sims crashed (CTD) Both sims are installed on a flightsim dedicated PC with a fresh Win 7 installed. I think everything up to date. I havent had any CTD on the 2 sims since I reinstalled everything, so I do, of course, dislike that it happened. I have of course rolled back what I did. deleted gauge and panel.cfg and tested that the MU loads in the sims, which it does. Besides that I havent tested. I´m tired and have "square" eyes. I have used hours on this radar and nothing possitive to be found there for me.

Nope. That wasnt the issue. I had the libraries installed. I Downloaded and installed them again and everything stays the same: Clickspots on a black screen. Can this be an FSX-SE issue?

nope.... I forgot that. Its true, the manual says so. Will check and come back. I read the manuals of most addons and then I forget what they say.....

Well, me again I have the Gauge in the FSX-SE/gauges folder I have added the entry in the panel.main cfg. as per above. I have even read the gauge manual. I have trusted the software in FSX-se. I have clickspots on the radar screen!!, I have ASN running and connected BUT I only have a Black screen. It looks like it should be turned on. (yes, I have avionics on ) Any suggestions?

There´s one thing I dont understand here. I have ASN and the MU-2 but I dont have the Realityxp gauge. Will this radar addon work for me? The problem is that what the manual says is incorrect: " Certain firewall/AV software such as AVG requires trusting/excluding the ASConnect module file as_btstrp.dll (located in your [FSX/P3D Installation Location]\asn_srv folder." Its not the btstrp.dll that should be excluded/trusted, its ASNext.exe!!!! So, consider rewriting the 2 lines you dedicated to this issue in the manual. It may take you a couple of minutes and save everyone a lot of time, including yourselves. :rolleyes: Or as a second option make this thread a sticky. But again, thank you for the link.

Regarding the appr mode, I made a couple of landings yesterday and everything well. I found that its best to get the speed down to around 150kias and have flaps 2 on before the autopilot start descending. Then its precise and smooth as butter. I´m liking my Mitsi more and more. I want to thank you a LOT for making gauges that are easy to read. I hate these superrealistic HSI that cant be read unless in a pop up window or with 2.0 zoom. That is so unrealistic. The C402 also has very nice gauges.

I also got the MU on sale and so far, I´m pretty sceptical with respect of the autopilot, so I will test and I will follow this thread. How about approach mode. How does it work for you?

I honestly cant remember if I disabled AVG during install. I think I did so, but things like that are kept in the grey cells of my brain. And I have lost acces to that part years ago. So you advice me to uninstall and reintall? Maybe a good idea. But I will wait a day or 2 and see if someone else has something to say. Anyways, thanks for the answer

Hi I bought ASN a few days ago, and cant open ASN. Nothing happens when I click the icon. If I disable AVG free, I can open ASN and use it. I have added the exception in AVG as per ASN manual ( Certain firewall/AV software such as AVG requires trusting/excluding the ASConnect module file as_btstrp.dll (located in your [FSX/P3D Installation Location]\asn_srv folder.) but it doesnt seem to change anything. I stille have to disable AVG before I start ASN I hope there are other users here that have a solution. I cant imagine I´m the only one using AVG free.

Well, thanks for your kind advices. The AC installed perfectly well and after a short test, I didnt find any problems, but I have to study the manual a bit and do a proper start-up to know. But first of all, I have to find out how to get rid of that horrible green tint on the sidewindows in the VC. I simply cant live with them. I knew they were there from start, but before purchasing, I read that from V1.6, there should be an option of removing them. I think my version, which i just downloaded from PCaviator is 1.7, so hopefully I can find a way of getting rid of them.

Hi, I just bought the MU-2 I have problems installing it to FSX-se. I chooses the prepar3d installation path and it cant be changed manually. I have P3Dv2.5 and FSX-se installed. I wanted to install first to FSX-SE and then later on maybe to P3D. I have not installed the MU-2 in any of sims right now. I have the Migration toll installed. I have made sure it was not active by enabling it, then disabling it and restarting the PC. Please tell me what to do. Andrés Just a follow up: In order to test my system, I installed another FSX aircraft into FSX-SE. There were absolutely no problems, the installer found the path to FSX-SE by itself. This means that the Migration tool is NOT enabled and therefor is not causing the problems with the MU-2 install. So, I opened the MU-2 installer and instead of checking FSX-SE I chosed FSX and then the installer found the path to FSX-SE itself. (I don not have fsx box installed) Is it safe for me to install the MU-2 into FSX-SE using the FSX box option?

I found the button this time. small grey button in the extreme lower left corner with a popup text saying. "Hide Interior Plexi (No Inner Plexi)" Now life looks brighter. Andrés

Thanks for your reply. I have a problem and that is that my manual doesnt open (when I click it, nothing happens). I´ve never liked that there´s no pdf manual. I like to read manuals sitting in my favorite chair with the ipad and not in front of my flightsim pc with yoke and all kinds of stuuf around. I´ve been looking for the "button on panel, IIRC" but cant find it. Btw, I´m using fsx. EDIT: I searched the web and found a way to open the manual outside the flightsim. I have gone through it fast and I havent found anything about clear glass option. I will leave it for now, but I would really appreciate if someone would just tell me if it is possible or not to have clear glass in this addon.
