  1. exactly.... Do you think one day it will work in P3D too? like FSX and like X-Plane do.. What's the technical reason? Is it the missing full screen in p3d ?
  2. The 1/2 refresh rate in the nvidia control panel / inspector, doesn't seem to work and to make any change in P3D... Gianluca
  3. Hi Erich! And are you running it at 30Hz or 60Hz? And Is it smooth? Gianluca
  4. Thanks for reply! I am running at unlimited - vsync on - 30 Hz so 30fps already... Fortunly it's not always that bad like the pictures i posted but usually less.. But from 4k i noticed that the texture are slower to load then. Cheers Gianluca
  5. Hello, i noticed that when i switched from 2k to 4k in p3dv3 ( i don't know if this is the main reason ) sometimes in certain random flight, i get really blur texture near me for a lot of seconds before they becomes more detailed like normal.. I have this issue when switching from different camera to another, like external and getting back to virtual cockpit.. But, i noticed that the texture in general are all a bit slower then before to load at 100% resolution and the result is that its finish loading really close to the aircraft.. i fly with ultralight and GA so i can see really well what happening flying at low altitudes. I noticed this issue from when i switched 2k to 4k like 10 days ago. Tested with or without ezdok. My texture res is 2048x2048 Is there any adjustment i could try for fix this issue? Thanks a lot. Few shots :
  6. Thanks Rob for sharing your settings and for all your help. It's really appreciated, and i really would like to come on over and look your awesome system ..but unfortuntly Rome is not much around the corner from you. Cheers Gianluca
  7. I have the shadows flickering in v3 and i had in v2.5 too. After few tests, and with shadows setting at ultra too, i decided to turn on only the clouds and my airplane shadows, that seems to work fine. But i'll be happy, if somebody knows how to, if i could use the simobject shadows without flickering G.
  8. I can see my SLI 980's works only if i set SSGS at 4x or more, but i have some issue like fps drops sometimes using SLI that disappear after a system restart.. so i decided to disable it for now.
  9. I was oriented on a Sony but because i hate the input lag and i coming from a really fast monitor (RogSwift) i decided to go with the Samsung that it's anyway pretty good, but is half time lag compared to the 2015 Sony TVs. About the "issue" i don't think it's an issue at all or a config problem.. i think it is simply a limitation of 30Hz. Testing a lot in the last fews days, i came to the conclusion that maybe the problem is from the blur that the 30Hz causes that give me the feeling of stutter in fast movements that is more visible at this refresh rate then other higher refresh rates... Infact tested also the 60Hz in FPS games like Farcry 4 and it's really nice to play on it with 4k@60Hz and a good 21ms lag (In game mode) In Preapar3D i decided to run at the moment turning off the gaming mode and turning on motion plus at standard or linear, accepting the more input lag time but increasing a really really amazing smoothness reducing the blur to the less possible visible .. I have uploaded this video (noting special, made on a Huawei mate7) filming the experience with gaming mode, i don't know if you can being able to see the blur that i am speaking about...: Link: http://www.engagerec.com/ftp/Test_GameModeOff_30Hz_4k_VID_20151112_202300.mp4 Rob, are you sure you are not using any motion flow improvement on yours? I did read about a function on the sony that gives a good smoothness effect without adding so much lag that is called impulse.. Have a nice week-end Gianluca
  10. Hi Jim,what i can say is that if you plan to run at 1080p, you should buy a monitor / tv that runs natively at 1080p for few reasons... First, a monitor that is native 1080p will look better that a 4k scaled at 1080p. Second the interpolation from 4k to 1080p will add more input lag in addition of the existing one and it is non the maximum for gaming... Today Tv's already have input lag, the best 4k (only for input lag) at the moment seems to be the Vizio M Series and P series and the Samsung JU7500 series in gaming mode. The Ju6500 also has good input lag (standing of RTING, it has 26,5ms) The best 1080p instead (always based on input lag) seems to be the last year Sony models, like the KDL42W705B, KDL42W653, KDL55W955B, KDL47W805A
  11. Hi Steve! Love me too your big screen!! If you run at 60Hz and having a fps range from 27 to 40, how can you have a smooth experience?
  12. Hi Rob, i have a similar Bob's model tv from samsung, and i have those setting, and in the nvidia control panel i tryed both RGB / YCbCr444 or YCbCr422 and Full / limited range, but in any case at 30Hz, moving the head in vc with mouse it's like it is stepped or like it cause blur / vibrance ... If i set to 60Hz in a "light" area that i know that i can maintain 60fps instead, the head moving in the vc is fantastic. So i am thinking it's because the 30hz I have track ir and i have done some test using or disabling it, but with the same results.. Regards Gianluca
  13. Hi w6kd, i have the samsung 55" JU7500... Are you using your tv in gaming mode and getting smooth or stuttered head movements in the cockpit? Or are you using the motion plus function without game mode ?
  14. Hello, i recently bought (5 days ago) a Samsung UE55JU7500T that is one of the last 4K Smart curved TVs from Samsung. It's a 55". Now it can run Full color 4.4.4 at native resolution of 3840 x 2160 both at 30hz / 60 hz using a good HDMI 2.0 cable on my 980 GTX and I am very happy with the image quality and the immersion.. Rob, i am running it at 30Hz 444 in 4k fps unlimited vsync on, it is smooth but the Mouse move in the VC, it is not like yours.. it is a bit stuttered.. The rest it's lovely. Only if on the TV i exit from the "gaming mode" and i turn on the "motion plus" option (that is available only when gaming is off..), the vc mouse look is extremely smooth like yours, and in this case it is all fantastic.. but it also add more input lag Not so much but i can feel it.. How do you feel on yours about input lag? Doyou have a sony if i am not wrong.?. I chosed this TV because standing on the tests around the net, is one of the fastest with the less input lag on the market (21ms in gaming mode). Now i came from an Asus Rog Swift using G-Sync and running at 144Hz (so vsync off) that was finally extremely smooth, and it was so so fast in response time from the yoke to the aircraft moving on the screen... On my new TV i can feel a difference due to the input lag...Now what are your experience with that? I use to fly with Ultralight and small GA planes, so i am not using so much the autopilot and i was liking the feeling with the extremely low input lag from the Asus ROG..
