  1. Hey all, this is a quite old topic, so I'm replying to it a month late, however I want to clarify a few things. I have tweaked the volume of the announcements and the passenger ambience for it to be a realistic level. I won't be adding a slider because imo for sound it should be as realistic as possible, and the volume will be generally realistic for these sounds. The cockpit door is able to be "opened" even though it doesn't show it visually. If you use the door lock switch on the pedestal, set it to unlock and you will hear everything like passengers speaking, and flight attendant announcements. Now for people who have volume sliders all over the place in msfs settings - set EVERYTHING to 100, other than music/voices as those do not matter. This will give you the most realistic soundscape and cause the least issues. For EFB sliders those should be set to the 0 (middle, default) value to get the most realistic soundscape, except for exterior master as that is all custom.
  2. Firstly, stable sounds are 6 months old. Secondly, yes.
  3. While I'm not a fan of project megapack and their a330 (and the requirement to join discord to download the aircraft which is just a trick to make it look like their server member count is high), discord as a platform is great. I don't understand how anyone could have issues - it's the simplest UI as can be - servers with respective channels. You type there and you get a response within minutes or even seconds. It is curious me how people can't figure out discord while being able to fly complex sim aircraft. This is a very funny thread to read through though.
  4. yes, this was voted by the community to be included for now as we cannot get a centerline simvar. this will be added to that simvar later. We might make it so it follows the offsets of it.
  5. im referring to this video at 1:30 - im still working on it a bit but i think it sounds pretty close
  6. again, it is intentional. the leap engine is very random in its startup so the fadeout from the fuel flow into idle is abrupt and weird and sounds more like a whale call rather than a traditional smooth transition to idle
  7. okay, im sorry you don't like it. I will keep trying to improve it
  8. again, you are the only person that seems to think that. We have people who are very picky to audio say that it is very rich and clear audio with all of the right frequencies. The majority of people, even the picky ones say they love the sound much more than the default and it sounds much more powerful and rich. We tested on many different headphones, different configurations, and 7.1 surround sound and it sounded good on each one. If you dont like that, i completely understand, no need to go around calling it horrendous though
  9. I used the highest sound samples I could possibly find, I definitely, for sure added mid tones with buzzsaw and other small details. You are one of the only people that seems to think so, and I think you are just negative as someone else said. Merry Christmas to you.
  10. Really not nice of you to call the sound package which has been confirmed by many IRL a320neo pilots as very realistic "horrendous". You could at least say what you do not like about it rather than straight up insulting it.
  11. Please look up videos of the CFM LEAP-1A startup, you will see that the sound is there. I am the sound dev and I have spent months making that LEAP sound and the startup is what I am mostly working on to achieve full realism. The LEAP has an iconic "whale call" kind of fadeout that ends very abruptly, there is nothing wrong with the "mixing" or whatever you mentioned
  12. just so you know, Xbox One X can't run at 4k. It can upscale it to 4k from 1080p, but not true 4k. I prefer PCs for this, and other reasons, but if PS5 and XBS are going to be amazing, it may change my mind.
  13. I forgot to say in my previous post, that if the sim is supposed to run on xbox, then some serious optimization is under way 🙂 Boris
  14. It doesn't come from anywhere official, some guy started calling it MSFS 2020 and some other guy called it, and some other guy called it, etc. Boris 🙂
  15. I think they confirmed that it was "MID 2020", so like @ZLA Steve said, E3 is very possible. Boris
  16. What does "Lock final delivery schedule" mean? Boris
  17. Hey guys, I'm very interested in the alpha recruitment program for MSFS 2020. I've filled out the survey. We get more information tomorrow (October 10th). I'm very excited. Do any of you have any idea of when we get the confirmation on whether we made it? What's going to happen in the alpha testing process? Anything you'd like to share? Boris
  18. Interesting to know, at least in the USA where I live, my pc would be $200-$400 cheaper. Maybe prices do vary significantly in France. Boris
  19. Do you guys know a lot about building PCs? It's legitimately not that difficult. Watch a few tutorials on youtube on how to find parts, use PCPartpicker, and assemble the PC. Again, youtube has so many tutorials on PC building, and while it seems daunting to start doing it, it's honestly easy and fun. Not to mention that it is considerably cheaper to build than to buy an already prebuilt. Now, we know that lots of the objects are going to be streamed, or at least I heard. That is something like GeForce Now which uses the cloud to play games. Then, they will jump out of their socks to try to make the game optimized for mid-performance PCs, that's for sure (or at least I really hope). Yet still, we do not know about the specs we will need. We know that the demo machines at the preview event had 2080s, but the older graphics cards will still have plenty of juice left in them, so don't fret if you have a midline gaming rig. I would go as far to say that maybe decent gaming laptops will be able to run it. TL:DR Building a PC is cheaper and more fun and engaging than buying a prebuilt. Microsoft will try hard to optimize the sim as much as possible. There will be cloud streaming. We still don't know if we will need a beast PC to run the sim, which I am expecting we won't. Good day, Boris
