Hop into your freeware Pilatus PC-6 and visit the crazy airstrips in the spectacular French Alps. Short runways & limited go-arounds, so make sure you know how to use your reverse thrust. Daytime flight with beautiful, snowy, dusk final landing. MSFS. Cheers.

Oh no, not the Simulator versus Game terminology thing yet again! It is meant to be both and the two are not mutually exclusive. Just simulate/play with it and hopefully enjoy. Cheers.

I have the habit of quickly checking all my settings after an update. The Content Manager point is interesting. Will look out for that. Cheers.

In relation to stuff for MSFS, recently got new screen, joystick, graphics card, aircraft and scenery, so my Chief Economist (wife of 41 years) says that’s it UFN! Cheers.

Useful info, thanks. Cheers.

Come visit the remote, picturesque Orkney Islands of the N-W coast of Scotland, UK, and learn about their Neolithic sites, WW2 airfields, and the scuttling of the German Navy at the end of WW1 in Scapa Flow Bay. Test you landing skills at the small strips throughout the Islands.

Enjoyed reading the interview. Continue to be happy with the past and present, and continue to be excited about the future of MSFS. Cheers.

I would like to be able to select multiple options of what to display on the map, such as both Airports and Smaller Airports. I am also not enjoying the zoom routines. Cumbersome!
Yep, same here. Cheers.

Come visit Issy Airfield, Paris, France, est. 1905, a “cradle of aviation” rivalling the Wright Brothers and other early aviation pioneers, now LFPI Issy Paris Heliport. Also enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Paris.

The post title caught my attention to! 😀. I must check-out Las Vegas - never been there in the Sim. Cheers.

But you are Pete in Spain and I am Frank in Australia - have I missed something here? Cheers.

Some interesting places to fly here, one new one per week, especially if you are into history, geography, maps etc. Cheers.

Come visit YPKG Kalgoorlie-Boulder airport and its Super Pit mine, and follow a Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) King Air 350 flight from YPKG across the Australian outback to YECL Eucla remote location with Touch & Goes along the way and a rainy emergency road airstrip landing at the end.

I have tried everything over the years and now prefer just a joystick with twist action for the rudder. Plus my wife says I look silly pretending behind yokes and pedals etc! Maybe because I am a real-life recreational pilot I get enough of the real thing that way? Cheers.

Am I alone in having this problem or can others see it?
@Ray Proudfoot, exactly the same for me as for you. What a bummer. Cheers.

Have you ever thought of doing something similar for the Melbourne area in which you reside?
Chris
@ctalpas, hi Chris, here is Melbourne for you. Cheers.

Come visit YMEN Essendon Fields Airport, Melbourne, Australia, in MSFS and learn its fascinating civil and military history. Also, enjoy a tour of Melbourne City/Bay voted numerous times as the “World’s Most Liveable City” Cheers.

MSFS is state-of-the-art and technologically very very complex and therefore very challenging.
MSFS is made up of very many partnerships which are still growing and this adds to the challenge.
No one developer can have all the necessary skills so partners are needed and things have to be contracted out.
Asobo have essential core skills but cannot be expected to have all necessary skills.
The constant on-going work to de-bug and further develop MSFS is absolutely amazing.
It is very wrong to show disrespect to developers.
It is even more wrong to show disrespect to individual people within developer teams.
We should demonstrate respect, tolerance, patience, appreciation and encouragement.
NOW I AM GOING BACK TO ENJOY THE SIM WHILE CONTINUING TO POLITELY REPORT BUGS AND MAKE SUGGESTIONS FIR IMPROVEMENTS AND PATIENTLY WAIT FOR FIXES AND ENHANCEMENTS.
Cheers.

I think Asobo is great, and will take us alot further yet. I hate it when they are attacked and not shown respect. MSFS is technologically and organisationally complex - Asobo rose to the challenge and continue to do so. Cheers.

Waited for servers to be back online. Update worked fine. Just flown for 1.5 hours working on my next YouTube video on YMEN Essendon with Melbourne city and bay tour. Don’t know if performance was any better, but experienced absolutely no problems. Cheers.

I am absolutely loving MSFS, from Day 1, warts and all, and hardly been back to my beloved XP at all. MSFS is still experiencing significant “growing pains” but I believe the Developers are very dedicated and committed for the long term to this “state-of-the-art” technological marvel. I do all types of flying, but mainly VFR. It runs very well on my medium rig and I normally have MSFS set at High End and often Ultra. I think many people with the popular, and understandable, mentality of “I want it, and I want it now” have been disappointed with MSFS because of the many bugs, lack of features, etc. But at my age, patience has become a virtue, and so I am happy to wait for the promised bug-fixes and new features. Cheers.

@dissy, than you soooooo much. BTW, I love flying from YTYA Tyabb over where you live. Pity they closed the airstrip on the Island to aircraft - helicopters only now, I think. Cheers.

@ctalpas, thanks for your comment, and yes I have, especially since I was one of the airport engineers that installed all the airport lighting at YMML in the 1970s, born & bred in Melbourne, learned to fly at YTYA & YMMB etc etc. But for Sydney I had great Orbx payware for the airport and the city whereas there is none for Melbourne yet - I keep posing about that elsewhere! I think I read there is some technical issue with the sim scenery around Melbourne. Maybe I will have to go with the Melbourne scenery the way it is. There is some freeware I might look at again. Do you have any particular reason for wanting Melbourne (other than I live there)?Cheers.

Come visit YSSY Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, Australia, and learn its fascinating history since 1911, and enjoy a beautiful tour of the magnificent city and harbour, one of the world’s great harbours. Cheers.
