Sure Mark. I don't want to fall foul of the mods but as you asked this is the product I teased at FSXExpo called Go2Gate - the first region pack served being Europe. I'm yet to unveil everything that it can do but it's focussed heavily on the ground immersion layer using immersive audio, real world flight and gate data and of course leans heavily into GSX as the benchmark ground services add-on. Go2Gate is still WIP but there will be a couple of different flavours inside the program of being able to move GSX stuff around at the gate - firstly 'the nudger' is simply designed to fix a badly authored stand where you load up your flight and the pushback tug spawns and sits half in and half out of the terminal building for the entire ground setup, something that gets under my skin. You load up the nudger - it connects with your sim and you click on the offending GSE item and nudge it into a better position. Exit. Done. The 'gate builder' is a whole different beast where you can quickly author entire gates very quickly, including resizing, Safedocks etc to your liking. So if you fly regularly to an airport which has a messy GSX profile or one that doesn't work for your aircraft very well - perhaps you fly the ATR and it's anchored around say a 737 size - you can tweak it to your liking. Go2Gate can keep track of what you're flying on that flight and ping the correct GSX .py profile in for a given gate. The real world gate of course, because it uses real data. This is only one part of it - I haven't mentioned global replacement voice pack for the Captain, ground crew and cabin yet with 336 regional voices for Europe alone, the real world gate and pushback data and the ability to hand to GSX the stairs, pushback tug and handler of your choice. When it all comes together, it's pretty cool. I'll keep you posted.

I can’t help with your issue as I break out in hives trying to use the built-in editor for GSX, but I can tell you that salvation is not far off. I’m putting the finishing touches on a new feature to our latest product that allows you to do all this stuff at any given stand without having to touch GSX at all. We call it ‘the nudger’ although we probably need a better name for it. I can say that arranging all the ground service equipment beautifully within the lines with nothing other than a drag and click of a mouse is wonderfully satisfying for my OCD…

From my work with Boeing pilots I learned that it's quite common to use V/S in the climb, especially in busy terminal areas with a level off where a high rate of closure to other traffic can produce nuisance Traffic Alerts that get everyone excited for the wrong reasons. The 777F/LR is a very powerful beast indeed and if it's light you'll be easily getting climb rates upwards of 6000fpm with an uncomfortably high deck angle, so that will probably be why your tracker is complaining. I believe (and this is from memory, so don't take as gospel) that Ryanair have something like a 3-2-1 vertical speed policy which is your vertical speed must be no more than the altitude to level off - i.e with a 1000 feet to capture you need to be at 1000fpm or less, 2000 feet to capture no more than 2000fpm and 3000 feet to go 3000fpm or less. For departure I'd be using VNAV so you get all the speed constraints etc respected and if you're sensitive to being donged points from your flight tracker, set climb thrust and acceleration to happen at 800 feet in page 2 of TAKEOFF REF and put in CLB-2 on the N1 LIMIT page. This reduced climb thrust will 'washout' during the climb and the aircraft will command the nominal climb thrust for the conditions, but it should keep you at a comfortable deck angle.

I can’t go into the specifics as it was legal and messy and frankly a poop show. Let’s just say I learned a few lessons along the way. What’s the latest? I didn’t manage to get the original URL or YouTube channel back but the next best thing is a new one that’s almost the same. If you felt let down, a million apologies from me. Having spent a decade building up Airline2Sim II was angrier than you, trust me. What’s next? More great content of course! I’ve been spending the last six months once I regained the content back on planning our next moves and putting all the pieces back together. The next one is genuinely a departure on our usual stuff. I think you’ll like it. Again, I’ve really missed being part of this, being part of the community and creating content that delivers knowledge for ever. For all of those of you that supported us, for all the messages I saw popped up on Reddit from those who say they missed what we did and bemoaned quite understandably the bittersweet departure from the stage, I appreciate your support then and now.
