Here is a video I created on how to enable a head tracking solution in Microsoft Flight. I will do a writeup on it with more detail, this is an overview of how it works, and a demonstration. Jump to 5:25 to see it in action! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2__Q--p6uLs HD: http://youtu.be/2__Q--p6uLs?hd=1

Hello, I have been using ChasePlane for some time now. Thank you for it! Recently, I have purchased and set up successfully FaceTrackNoIR - a head tracking alternative to TrackIR. It works actually quite well for the little € it costs. However - ChasePlane does not support this great low-cost head tracking software :-( Would you please consider having a look into this in future? As far as I know, and by no means I am an expert in the topic, FaceTrackNoIR launches a dummy TrackIR.exe in order to work with X Plane 11. May this be a way how to get ChasePlane work alongside with FaceTrackNoIR also for P3D? Thank you for your feedback. Kind regards, Milan

Dear FSX and/or FS2004-users, I am happy to announce that v170 of FaceTrackNoIR was released yesterday. The new version contains a number of important improvements, which also benefit many FSX-users (as well as FS2002/2004 and MS Flight). The most important new features: A new filter called Accela, providing great stability and yet maintain response; A new curve-configurator, so response can be tweaked better than before; An IR-tracker called PointTracker. This was translated from the FreeTrack sources and is very useful for users, who already have an IR-headset; A new game-protocol called "FreeTrack 2.0", which supports all FreeTrack and TrackIR enabled games, including MS Flight. All new features are listed on the website. You are welcome to try v170, please visit the FaceTrackNoIR website Wim Vriend FaceTrackNoIR Team Holland :p0502:

Hi guys! I hope I poset this to the right forum and you can help me out here, I have been struggling to get this to work properly for a long time now and other people make it look easy so I don't understand what could be wrong. Here is the situation. I want to use FaceTrackNoIR with the PointTracker plugin for headtracking. I have tried it before, didn't work now I'm at it again. Here is my new 3 point model. http://i.imgur.com/y6k9MpQ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/6HFZaUB.jpg The frame is now made of thin iron bars so they keep their position where I want it. The LEDs are infrared they run on one AAA battery at the moment, if I can get it to work I'll add power from USB. My webcam is a Microsoft Lifecam Cinema HD, IR filter removed, it can do 30fps. I will get a PS3 eye if I can but not sure I can get hold of an old one since new ones I hear can't be rid of the IR filter easily. The problem: I can't look up. Looking left, right and down works fine. When I want to look up it just looks down again. It goes like this, when my head is in the neutral position I look forward. I lower my head and my view goes down, so far so good, I start raising my head, my view goes up UNTIL the neutral position and if I keep raising my head it starts to lower my view again. Can anyone help me out with this? I can't really afford a trackIR these days and this almost works. Thank you in advance.
