Hello! I am, after around 2 years with my computer, planning an upgrade. Before I start, I'll list my specs: Asus Sabertooth P67 MOBO Intel Core i5 2500K @ 4,8GHz CPU Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz CL9 RAM Corsair HX 850W 80+ Silver PSU Gigabyte GTX 560Ti 1GB GPU 500GB HDD 150GB HDD 128 GB SSD Corsair Vengeance C70 Case Some really noisy but great Scythe fans I have looked around and found this graphics card: MSI GTX670 Power Edition OC It seems like a really nice card with high speeds, nice amount of memory and really good overclocking opportunities. The question is: Will it do my FSX any good? Right now I am running FSX on high settings with a couple of tweaks in the CFG. My FPS are mostly OK, even though they can easily drop below 20 in the NGX at a high quality airport I don't experience any large amounts of disturbing lag or stuttering. Although, sometimes the lag gets a bit too heavy. Not very often, but for sure it happens Also, my ground textures often look good (close to awesome) at departure. But after, say a two hour flight, the textures are often extremely blurry and autogen starts to disappear. This makes my FSX look really bad in a way that makes me think I'm running low on something, but what? For info, I'm using GEX for ground textures. I'm not a computer guru, but something makes me think I'm bottlenecking my system with my GPU. I mean, 4,8GHz and 8Gb of RAM should be enough, right? Although, my GPU is getting a bit old. also it's not very fast nor does it have a lot of memory. If any of you have any other thoughts, please share them. Any help is appreciated Merry Christmas and Happy holidays to all of you!

I was going to finish next week my PC for FSX, but new stuff show up on the market :( 1. I allready bought in good price gigabyte gtx 670 GV-N670OC-2GD and I can easy and very stable OC it from 980 to 1083mhz. 2. I ordered 3770K with asus z77 sabertooth motherboard but because of rare incompatibility between each of the items they still are at the shoop and im waiting for new 3770K Because new haswell, and gtx770 show up on the market I talk to my friend in shoop and he let me choose what i want to do. 1. I can switch from gigabyte 670 to gigabyte 770 and It will cost me extra about 100-120$ 2. I can cancel without a problem my order 3770K + Z77 motherboard and wait a little more for 4770K + Z87 motherboard which i think is more perspective (Broadwell) with 1150 socket than 1155 on Z77? What you think I shoudl do. I will be grateful for your advice

hey all, Since I am the proud owner of a GTX670 4Gb Edition and a i7-3770K I am able to enjoy fsx way more because of the awesome performance I get out of this rig. but I'm still experiencing a little stutters and I think it's because of the bufferpools entry in my fsx.cfg I'm using UsePools=0 and the default RejectThreshold from the Venetubo fsx tweak. So my question is; is there any best recommended setting for those two tweaks to achieve super ultimate smoothness in fsx? much appreciated! specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K GPU: Asus GTX670 4Gb Edition HDD: Crucial M4 SSD Mobo: Asus Z77 Sabertooth Mem: Corsair Vegeance 16Gb DDR3-1600 FSX: Gold Edition with PMDG737 (I always fly it)
