We are pleased to announce that AVSIM will be bringing online live streaming video within the next 30 to 45 days. AVSIM will be providing a “channels” based system that allows any community member to establish a streaming video channel on either Justin.tv or Twitch.tv and then be fed into the AVSIM system’s video line up. Think of it as AVSIM providing the services of a Comcast, Direct TV, Sky TV or the Dish Network as examples. The AVSIM channel system will indicate to the viewer which channels are active and not, chat while watching and more. We will provide the channels and you can pick your favorite while participating in the forums or elsewhere within AVSIM. Unlike the basic Justin and Twitch services themselves, AVSIM will be acting as an aggregation and one-stop service for all flight simulation live stream channels. Twitch.tv will allow in-game streaming so that group flights, RTW races, and VATSIM and IVAO events, can be fed live to all viewers on AVSIM from within the broadcaster’s flight simulator. Justin.tv will allow broadcasters to set up channels that are not in-game. For example; virtual airline news channels, community news, how to channels such as “Learn to paint your aircraft”, “learn to create scenery”, “learn the FMC”, etc. We will be adding more channel sources as we further develop the system. Please stay tuned. We will post more as this system comes closer to launch.

Hi Just an ideafor future versions, to facilitate screen recording etc. with ChasePlane. Record more then one camera view at a time. Just saw this post on the Facebook Engineering page. They have optimized 360° streaming by up to 92%. Imagine having a 360° view of a flight simulation online video. And even more being able to choose your own ChasePlane camera views from an online video you watching. More interaction. But to begin with facilitate screen recording and capturing. Best regards, Sigurdur At today's Video @Scale event in Menlo Park, Facebook announced updates to its dynamic streaming technology to deliver high-quality 360 videos more efficiently. https://code.facebook.com/posts/637561796428084/end-to-end-optimizations-for-dynamic-streaming/ https://www.facebook.com/Engineering/?fref=lmaf

We recently announced that we were bringing a live streaming video aggregation system online. We are pleased to say that it is now up and running. Currently, the system only accepts videos from Twitch.tv, but API's are being added to accept videos from Justin.tv and others in the near future. In its current state, it is pretty straight forward system and easy to use by both viewers and video stream owners. The benefit of the AVSIM Video System is that it provides a focused source for all video streams having to do with flight simulation and the many related subjects within the hobby. We currently have one live stream FS topic running and some demo videos to view. If you are a live streaming owner and a flight simulation enthusiast, we encourage you to place your stream into the AVSIM System. If you are a virtual airline, an IVAO or VATSIM organization and would like to showcase news and events, this is a great way to do so to the many members of the AVSIM Community. Would like to broadcast training video, "how to", specialty broadcasts like the different types of navigation and techniques, flying techniques, etc., we encourage you to explore the live streaming video format and the AVSIM live streaming system. You can access the Live Video System from the menu item above, or by clicking here. The Streaming Video System also has a forum associated with it where every video is supported by it's own forum topic for users to discuss the stream and its content. You can access that forum here. I would like to stream my flights to YouTube, but I'm inexperienced in doing this and need some help. I am using the latest OBS software. I am running the sim in fullscreen at 4K and I would like to stream it to youtube at 1080p60. I can't seem to get the right settings for this to work, and I am not sure of what bit setting to use for video/audio. All I know is my internet upstream is about 11.3Mbps. Will streaming the sim have a noticeable impact of performance? I am running with very heavy add-ons.

fsx-ms Anyone here watches FSX streaming on Twitch?
mastersgta1 posted a topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Just out of curiosity.... I've checked out a couple of streams on twitch and most of them were just some guy on autopilot playing songs... Anyone here finds FSX live streaming interesting?
