Gents-I think this is adequate enough to be displayed right now... still not quite finished - there are details to be added, and things to fix (like that "CLB" indication still ;-)).You'll be happy to see that Flight Path curves are shown in their full splendor ;-).I am in no way as gifted in picture taking as Marc is, but I hope you'll quench your thirst for "inside scoop" pics for now!(Just keep in mind that, due to JPG image compression, some of the panel may not appear as bright as it actually is, for example, the warning/caution section on the top left).http://www.precisionmanuals.com/public/night_zoom2.jpgCheers,

Lefteris,As ususal PMDG is raising the bar!! Keep up the GREAT work. I'm looking forward to this release.Rehards,Bob Lyddy

Lefteris,Sir, very nice shot, very much looking forward to it. Question, can the fuel indication be switched to lbs instead of kgs by the user? P.S. Could you look at the FSNav thread again and give me your thoughts? Thanks

AMAZING, the Flight Path vector, is the small circle on the PFD right, it is in the artificial horizion that shows there the plane is actually going? I have one more question for you, does the 737NG series come with ground track indicators(I believe thats the term for it)--that is the thing that shows which heading your plane is flying, with the wind figured in, not the heading bug, which shows where you are pointed. Ive found that really helpful for xwind landings! Thanks a ton for all your help, looks like a great plane!

That looks very easy on the eyes! Cool, it just keeps getting better. [h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Johan-Thank you for your input. You might have missed lefteris' comments about the image being highly compressed, having color translation problems?Also- as we keep repeating here (again and again and again) much of what you are looking at is ALPHA quality.

Hi Guys!I love your work and I look forward to the big release, but I just have one question. Will the Panel Templates be available to the customer if they wish to make modifications? For example: Will the Panel background be available to us as a bitmap so that we may make our own modifications to the texturing, or lighting?I hope you guys don't mind, and I apologize if anyone takes offense to this . I pasted a picture of what I have in mind. Thanks again!Norbert Tretnerhttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/6885.jpg

Hi Robert!>You might have missed lefteris' comments about the image being>highly compressed, having color translation problems?Yes, you are absolutly right, Ive missed that completly.;-)>Also- as we keep repeating here (again and again and again)>much of what you are looking at is ALPHA quality.Ok, missed that to.;-)It sounds good that what you see is not what you get;-)that changes will be made to make it perfect.:DI hope you dont think Im to pessimistic, I just reflect to what I see.;-)Best Regards,Johan Drejing

Johan->I hope you dont think Im to pessimistic, I just reflect to>what I see.;-)No problem.... I was more concerned that you might think we didn't know/care. ;-)

Jamie-That little white Circle deal is called the Angle of Attack Indicator (I think only Delta ordered this option in US).The above image shows a AoA of 3.8 degrees. The real job has 1 red tick mark to show what AoA will cause Stick Shaker and a white tick mark to show 0.0 deg of AoA.The AoA stuff has been around for yrs in Military jetts, but has not found its way into many Airliner cockpits, till now.The FPF-flt path vector is not shown on the pic above, but it does when displayed look alot like the Airbus bird.Rgrds,Marc Brodbeck

Marc-in fact, the AoA indicator already shows 0.0 deg of AoA - it's the second white line from the bottom. The red tick mark will NOT be shown in the final product, as this information (stick shaker AoA) is NOT shared by FS through its SDK (as far as I know). You also missed another important aspect of the AoA indicator: The green Approach Reference Band which comes on when in normal or single engine landing flaps configuration, and shows the "appropriate range of approach AoA for a Vref(xx) + 5 approach."If someone would tell me what how much that was, I'd put it in... ;-)

Lefteris,>You also missed another important aspect of the AoA indicator:>The green Approach Reference Band which comes on when in>normal or single engine landing flaps configuration, and shows>the "appropriate range of approach AoA for a Vref(xx) + 5>approach."Yep, the manual sayz that also, but I didn't expect to see it in that cool screen shot, since it was at FL210, in cruise, flaps clean. If a minor compromise can be made with the Greenie Approach band, maybe use the Pitch Attitude for Vref+10 from the unreliable airspeed charts? Seem to range from +4.0 to 0.0 depending on ZFW and Flap 15~40 (look up table depending on ZFW and Flap setting)?Send me an email to [email protected] w/ yur private email and I can send over these charts for the -600/700/800/900.Cheers,Marc
