It's a shame that folks like Richard bust their butts to provide us with something for our hobby and do it out of kindness. Then a few folks with no class or manners make demands and criticize their work. It has happened too many times. I know Richard has been considering this for some time now. He will be missed and I surely thank him for his wonderful work.

First of all: Thanks for your great work Stefan over the years! But please go on....!!!! 99,9% of the community think like me.. Your work is great!!! It's truly a shame for the community what these few people done how wrote Mails and critize his great work..Please go on Stefan!Best regards,Matthias

I would like to add my thanks to Richard for all his unslefish work over the past years and am eagar to see which of the moaners will pick up the challange now Richard has decided he has had enough - I won't be holding my breath though.Richard's decision does leave one big question though, what happens to on line flying navigation?

Firstly, thanks stefan for your hard work, you are very much appreciated...please keep working, although I understand why you have decided not to....and to all the moaners out there...thanks for nothing, remember if you have nothing constructive to say...STHU.Just great, another freeware developer decided to quit because a few people don't have the common decency and respect for freeware developers.

Richard, I'd like to express my gratitude at all the know-how, time and effort you've invested in making the flightsimming hobby a more realistic and immersive experience for all these years!I don't blame you, the blame lies with the unfair critisism directed at you by the ungrateful. Good luck and I hope you will still be able to enjoy the hobby in private. Once again, many thanks, Martijn

I don't usually do 'me too' posts, but in this case I really feel the need to add my thanks to Richard as well. Many thanks for the satisfaction and simming pleasure you have given us all.You are quite right to put your family and real life first, and I am sure that everyone's best wishes go with you.Vielen Dank Mike Want

Thanks for your outstanding contribution to our hobby. It's a sad day today ....Pascal Bonnethttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/50515.jpg

:-mad:-mad:-mad:-mad:-mad:-madI'll agree here just sent Richard an email it takes many hours of free time and to share with our community...But there are out there some real impolite people that don't have respect and appreciation for freeware....I'll think it's time for all us freeware contributors to join and stand-up against some impolite people....If you don't like it just don't use it and go on with your lives pfff...Sorry rand mode is off now....:(:(:(:(:(:(B)B):(B):(B):(B):(Thank you Richard for all your great work and the many hours of enjoyment I'll had out of it :-)Andr

:-eek NOOOOO..... I'm shockedThis is a really said day.. What will happen to the online navigation. How could some of those people ruin it for everyone.Richard did/(plz keep doing it) a GREAT job.I just wish that the names of these people who have made this mess come out in public. Maybe then we can really "thank" them for what they did. :-bang Marcel Stuij

Althogh I have not been flying with airac

What would it take for someone to pick up where Richard is leaving off and continue updating the data?I'm willing to help. I offer database programming skills, and a web server hosted at a high-speed data center where we could provide the data for download. Thanks Richard, for all you've done for this amazing hobby!-Ross

Yes it is a Verry sad day.I can see first hand why he decided to stop.It is truly sad that people are so selfish that they have to ruin it forall the other people who REALLY do like his work.It is verry sad and discouraging to recive emails that are negitive, and put you down for your hard work. It would be verry differant if all the people who did aprecheate his hard work sent in emails of thank's. But most of the time those people do not, so in the end, all you recive is a litte bit of thanks and a great deal of "This is the worst" and "I could do better then that" kind of email. So I also wish to say that you (Richard) did an outstanding job and give you a big THANK YOU. You made possable things such as Our beloved 737 NG from PMDG, Also you improved online flying, as well as other things. So from one "Freeware" disgner to another I say a job well done and we WILL miss you very much.
