Hi Randy, Really nice... Kudos! I have a question relating to the speed restriction entry on the CLB page. This is basically because I have no clue how this works in the real plane. Will the speed restriction update itself as flaps are retracted? Suppose, for instance, that you for some reason decide to take off with flaps at 10 degrees. If you then during the climb out have time to glance at the FMC on that specific page, will you see the restriction speed update itself as you retract flaps during the climb? Thanks,Boaz

If I may chip in here! ;-)Yep, the FMC SPD REST will monitor your flap setting and set speed bug accordingly if in VNAV mode. Both on climb and on descent.Hope it helps,

Hi everyone,Just a quick (I hope) question. The FMC in SU2 will now have transition levels right, so if I fly a REDFA approach to EHAM and select RNW 06 does this now mean I could choose say a SUGOL 1A transition?and if so does the waypoints after sugol ie all the EH... and Soksi waypoints added? as the STAR would have it?Or am I way of course here,Thanks in advance,MarkSU2 is looking Excellent can not wait to fly her. :)

Yes of course this mean that. Like my KSJC MOONY2 departure with AVE transition which connects right to the KLAX SADDE6 AVE Transition ;) You can also hand edit your procedures if there happens to be anything out of place....[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. hehehe, guess it was kinda silly question in that sense. :)I was more interested to know about the waypoints after the transition tho. As the rnw 06 at eham their is quite a lot of em! with such a short time to enter them in the fmc (well when online anyway) :-shy(just out of curiosity :) In the real NG when u would fly say from UK to EHAM on a REDFA arrival and the pilot would then get latest atis and know he was landing on say 06, when he enters 06 in the fmc would the fmc then add the extra waypoints in after sugol ((sorry the star for redfa is this REDFA SULOT SUGOL then for 06 it would continue to EH606 EH612 SOKSI EH613 EH614 CH EH609 EH616 rnw06 according to the charts)) maybe you see why I am a bit curious its a lot of waypoints to enter in the old fmc) Would the pilots have this extra info in their star database, or would they have to enter them manually? (at the moement in SU1.1 these additional waypoints are not their thats why I am curious) In SU2 are the SIDS STARS redone by pmdg or is this down to another person who writes the sids/stars.Sorry this msg is dragging on a bit more than I hoped for:) and sorry if this sounds like another silly question but I am getting myself confused! :-hmmm :-hmmmAnyone out their who could give me some more info on adding waypoints to a single rnw in a star -ie redfa star how do I add more waypoints to say rnw 06 18R 18C 18L etc- as I looked at the star but it looks very complicated to change but im willing to learn if anyone could explain this to me in more detail.Ok this is one of those long threads sorry,on a side note I love this bird and SU2 can only make things better than fantastic ;)Mark :)

Ok Randy, cheers for the screenie :)guess Ill have to do some extra typing. Thanks, Mark

Like I said, you will be able to define your own custom procedures for cases just like this ;). Files soon to follow...[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/betaimg.jpg

I think Mark is trying to say that you can just select a transition and an approach in the FMC and you do not have to add all the waypoints manually1. Select REDFA ARRIVAL2. Cleared SUGOL1B Transition -> Select SUGOL1B in FMC3. Cleared NIRSI Approach 18R -> Select NIRSI approach 18R in FMC

ahh Floris,Basically you hit the nail on the head! But from the FMC shown above I think that this is not possible for EHAM (or am I wrong Randy?) (if I am wrong I would like to see a screenie of sugol1A in the transition :) if its possible.I would love to be able to hit Sugol 1B and see all those waypoints come poping up on the ND (gives me a lot of typing if I had to do it manually.):)Thanks Mark

I think it is possible, but you need a sidstar-file in the right grammer with the correct data. Ryans data doesn't contain all data for EHAM I think.SU2:Procedures- sid star transitions- approaches- approach transitions- missed approaches- holds in procedures- speeds in procedures- flyover in procedures- turn direction (not yet implemented in ACS)

ahh I am getting the bigger picture,Their is a lot of extra data here in the sids + stars.Sounds very complicated.thanks for adding more info on the procedures ;)Mark

This is going deep into the procedures and I am not sure what Terry (The procedure master hehe) has to say about this, can you post the question in it's own thread please? Get more of the guys here to chime in..[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/betaimg.jpg
