"This is a first in the flight simulator community!"I Wouldn't say that.As far as I recall, PMDG has always stated it was an Addon to the 737NG, not a stand alone product.

Hey, And it'll be worth that extra $20-30!!! Anyway, whats

I don't agree with you 'cause PMDG has always made that clear for months now, second for me it is always well worth paying the extra money for a product that has no equals when it comes to flight dynamics and overall package complexity. With every service update we have got lots of additions and improvements which made the purchase well worth every penny.I'll be the first person to complain about a product if it's not up to standard for price but right now I don't see anything to complain about yet. There doing very good work so far and hope they keep it up!Best whishes,David http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/66054.jpg http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/66052.jpg

>This seems unfair, pay $39.95 for B737-600/700(unwanted) plus>another $20-30 or more?? for the product I have been waiting>for.I think you really need to look around a bit more often. Companies are selling INDIVIDUAL GAUGES for that kind of price. PMDG is throwing in the entire aircraft for free if you really look at the price when compared to others.Ray

Yup, The fact that the "Base Pack" will be required has ALWAYS been stated.Do yourself a favor and go ahead and buy the 737 600/700 and become familiar with the systems etc. It is well worth the $$. I would be happy to pay the same price for the 800/900 upgrade as I did for the base. It is that damn good! :)

I thought the Boeing 737-800/900 was to be a stand-alone product.But......your website states differently"Availability: Under Development Product Compatibility: FS2002 / FS2004, requires 737 The Next Generation Base Product "This seems unfair, pay $39.95 for B737-600/700(unwanted) plus another $20-30 or more?? for the product I have been waiting for. This is a first in the flight simulator community!Would you consider offering this product as a stand-alone, please.....

Talking about upgrade...It's being said that 800/900 will have some new features in the FMC and all-around.Does that mean that 600/700 will also be changed, or updated, or will it be the same as it was till now, same FMC, same panel etc.? (I see for instance that 800/900 panel is already a bit different).Hope for some answer on this one! Thanks!

Word Not Allowed,If you own the 600/700, and buy the 800/900, all four variants will share the same cockpit, and share the same new features. In other words, yes, the 600/700 will have the new features.

Darryl, I have to really question why you would think PMDG has pulled a trick. First PMDG has stated all along that the 800/900 was an upgrade to the 600/700. For the amount of work that the team has put into the development of this model, it is well worth every penny. I think time spent on the 600 or 700 and learning the systems would really help you with the 800 when it comes out.The reason I don't think you will see the PMDG team offer it as a standalone is that the 600/700 contain MASSIVE amounts of code that the 800/900 just builds on top of.the 700 winglet model is the ONLY plane I fly today in FS9. It is the standard which all others will be measured as the PIC767 use to be.In short I can't wait for the upgrade and have my credit card in the ready position.CheersBob

Still cosider the cost of buying both the 737-600/700 and 737-800/900 too high for the mainstream flightsimmer, does PSS require you to buy their Airbus A340 in order to purchase their A330 (same difference).

No, PSS just charges you an exorbitate amount of money for each friggin livery! Not to mention the amount of problems you get.Chris
