April 14, 200422 yr I have the same problem since V1.2. It is never solved for me. What did I do about it? I went back to V1.1 (it's free of that problem) and learned to live in peace with it up to today. (I use CH yoke but that is not the problem).I just wrote PMDG an email asking if the 800/900 trim will act the same way. It would be a REALLY bad news for me if it does. I mean there is no "800/900 version 1.1" to go back to.Sounds like you have tougher luck because you probably bought the product after V1.2 or V1.3 came out so you don't even have V1.1 to get away from the troublesome trim. All I can say is flying without the trim is like driving without power steering...Best luck with the problem...please keep up posted in case you have a cure for it.Thank you. April 14, 200422 yr Trim works fine for me, but here are a couple of things to try:In flight sim control assignments, make sure you haven't assigned an axis to elevator trim. In FSUIPC, check and make sure that the elevator trim is not processed.
April 14, 200422 yr I can't be the only one with this problem. I've had this problem since I got this aircraft and I've just had to learn to fly without elevator trim which isn't always easy. I've tried everything I can think of to fix it, but no luck.Basically what happens is the trim always reverts back to center right after I adjust it. It does this whether I use an axis of the CH yoke or if I disable the yoke and just use keyboard. No matter what, the second after I adjust the trim, it goes back to centered. It's not just a visual issue with the model, because I can see it happen on the panel also and the aircraft always behaves as if trim is centered.Have a similar problem with the spoiler. The spoiler behaves very erratically and sometimes gets stuck in up position when it's assigned to an axis on the yoke. This I can deal with but the elevator trim is very annoying.]I've seen other people with this problem in this forum, but not sure if anyone has ever resolved it.Any ideas??Matt
April 14, 200422 yr To me, when i go to external view, i move the trim, and for instance i move it down and it goes down then back up, but i can trim and it works fine just something wrong with the visual model or maybe thats how it is in real life?adam
April 14, 200422 yr Commercial Member Gents,I had an email on this problem recently in the Support@ box and it was traced to the CH keystroke management software. Something about a keystroke assignment for nuetralizing the trim. Let me do some digging and find the solution he came up with.RegardsPaul Gollnick :-cool Technical Operations/Customer Operational SupportPrecision Manuals Development Groupwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg Paul Gollnick Manager Customer/Technical Support Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
