Hello Richard (nice name BTW ;-) )First like everyone else I would like to thank you for your great contribution to our hobby!!Then I have a little question for you - would it be possible to bunch all procedure files (SIDS & STARS) into a single ZIP-file for easy download? Of course the ZIP-file would become outdated pretty fast but considering how small the procedure files are, rebuilding the ZIP-file maybe once a week or month shouldn't take more than a minute or two.I think such a ZIP-file in the download list including all procedure files would be very much appreciated instead of having to download them one by one like it is now. And for the future and if possible, maybe some kind of sort order could be added to the web interface so you in an easy way can see all the latest modified/added procedure files. All the best,

Hi Medi,You may be aware that there have been a lot of changes in European sectors at the beginning of 2004. Real life Navaids have been deleted, new fixes have been created etc.. NavData has taken all these changes into consideration before releasing the newest Airac with the obvious consequence that terminal procedures created before the official changes were published will not work anymore. This means that terminal procedures for major European airports have to be actualized to the newest datas (some have already been released for the UK, EHAM and others). Therefore if I may give an advice, you should get the latest charts from http://www.ead.eurocontrol.int/ and try to modify the procedures where problems are encountered accordingly. Alternatively you can check regularly on the Sids/Stars page of NavData to see if new updated procedures for your favorite airports have been uploaded.DISCLAIMER:The above reflects only a personal opinion and was written without any intend to offend, harm or criticize in any way or manner any individual, institution, association or company including PMDG.Michael

I have the same problem, plus the fact that i lost all the approaches after download of the new airac. No more SIDS, STARS or approaches. The .txt file for LFPG is there with the good text, but the FMC seems not to see that. Can anybody help??philippe Strasbourg:-(

Hi Medi and Philippe,You guys seem to have a problem with LFPG. I just finished a thorough check of the latest Airac cycle released by NavData. My conclusion is that all navaids and fixes are correct and updated to the latest changes. I further did some test sitting at LFPG and could not detect any faulty terminal procedure with the Sids/Star txt file I use.May I suggest the following:1. you check that the PMDG Airac cycle is correctly installed in your FMCWPnavdata folder. 2. you also check the date of your PMDG txt file in the PMDGSIDSSTARS folder. If it is outdated replace it with the attached file.I did not have time to check all terminal procedures (from the FMC) but the few I went through loaded to the FMC without any problem.Do some test with the file I attach and post your results here or better on a new thread.DISCLAIMER:The above reflects only a personal opinion and was written without any intend to offend, harm or criticize in any way or manner any individual, institution, association or company including PMDG.Michaelhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/69556.txt

Thank you for your help MichaelI have checked the airac in the FMCWPnavdata folder: its the right oneI checked the file in the PMDGSIDSSTARS folder : its the good one tooMy problem is that the FMC does not see either the approach runways or the sids and stars.Everything is ok in place if i choose KJFK as arrival. It seems that the FMC doesnt want me to go to Paris:-)philippe Strasbourg

Hi Phillipe,That is very strange. From what you describe I have a feeling that either your Airac installation is corrupted or the LFPG txt file is corrupted. Can you download again the Airac for PMDG and re-install it then download the modified LFPG terminal procedure which I posted in this thread http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho..._id=43430&page= this morning. I made a small change to circumvent the problem with the BUREX Navaid.DISCLAIMER:The above reflects only a personal opinion and was written without any intend to offend, harm or criticize in any way or manner any individual, institution, association or company including PMDG.Michael

Hello Richard,I got a small problem, when puting KBOS, It gives me Err. 3 Line xxxxx I can't remember....I can't see any runways...Could you please help? Thanks!

Thank you Richard, I really appreciate your service !Ben (EDDT)

Hi MichaelI tried your suggestion, but still no effectI think that the new airac contains something wrong. I have the problem with not all but a lot of airports where all the runways disappeared.I went back on the previous airac, and anything is OK back, ... and not updated:-). I found also the same problem in LFPO and LFMN. It seems that the US airports are not affected with all the rwys, sids and stars corrects. No idea from where it comes. I made the installations twice and the problem was again there. Sure something is corrupted in the airac but Where???philippe Strasbourg

Hi Phillipe,My only advice at this stage is to download Airac again from NavData and install the database. You are right your download may have been corrupted.I can't see anything wrong with LFMN. Haven't tried LFPO yet.One more thing, can you check your FMCWPnavdata folder. You should have the following files in it:airports 352kb DAT File fmc ident 1kb txtwpNavAID 774kb txtwpNavAPT 1,425 kb txtwpNavFIX 9,226 kb txtwpNavRTE 2,296 kb txtand of course in your PMDGSIDSTAR folder check that the airports you are looking for are not missing.DISCLAIMER:The above reflects only a personal opinion and was written without any intend to offend, harm or criticize in any way or manner any individual, institution, association or company including PMDG.Michael

Great work Richard, much appreciated here as well. Just a tech Q.? When I download and install all of the AIRAC's and or Sids & Stars, where should they reside on my HD and what directories/folders should I check to see this to assure proper functionality. I'm not sure if mine are situated in the correct directory. This is for eg. PMDG, RC, PSS FSNav. I know it is an auto install and all I have to do is point it to the proper FS root directory.Regards,Tom Stewart
