the first 747 flight

Just to eat up time until She rolls out from the PMDG Factory...Where will you take her on your very first, maiden flight together? In which livery do you plan to fly her for the first time?I will sure get familiar with the systems first on the ground, then I will make a couple of short circles around a well known airport just to get familiar with her characteristics, all the inflight features. Then I will take her home from Boeing Field. And you?Cheers,

I'll fly qantas - to every route that they currently fly. Then I'll start again...LOL, I'm a long term customer of PMDG. I'm a long term reader of these forums. Nothing has caused me to want to post except the one above. I guess I'm overjoyed that PMDG is doing a 744...

I'm going to take her on one of my favourite routes here at BA Virtual. London Heathrow to San Francisco, up over Scotland to Iceland and Greenland, then across the Labrador Sea to North Eastern Canada. From there we route over Central Canada to the West Coast and south into Washington, Oregon and California.Flight time 11hrs 15 mins. This route varies significantly depending on the winds at the base of the arctic circle. Should give me enough time to get a feel for how everything works under the power of the best engines available on the B744, Rolls-Royce RB211-524H.

I think I will have a flight from EDDF to VHHH. I will have this flight on 26th of December with Cathay Pacific, CX 288.Bye,Jeno ForizsCathay Pacific Virtual

Will have to be my favorite route. LHR to Sydney via Singapore.(not all in one go tho.) And got to be BA livery. In my opinion one of the most attractive at the moment.CheersBen

The first flight will be an overnight delivery for Lufthansa from Seattle to Frankfurt (KPAE-EDDF), a nice 5000 mile trip with plenty of time over the Atlantic ocean to get acquainted with all the cockpit systems and read something about them. Then some more ultra-longhauls with Cathay Pacific and British Airways (two of my favourite airlines) and in the meantime I will have read all the manuals. ...Propably ;-)Well, that's basically what I did when the PSS 744 came out some years ago. Nice, but I guess that has to wait a few more months until I have a new machine and PMDG will finally release the queen. SO TAKE YOUR TIME, GUYS! :)Holger*waiting patiently*

LOWI (Innsbruck, Austria)DMEEAST Approach Rwy 08!LOL! :DSteve W.

I think I'll make a couple of test flights around KPAE, and once I except her, I'll take her home to Heathrow. Or if I can't be bothered with that, just a short hoop from EGLL-WSSS :(

If i get the 744, i would do some training then take a qantas from YMML-YSSY short hop :D
