As was pointed out here before nothing prevents you from using 744 on shorter flights. If you worry about how realistic it is - there was a separate thread here on the subject and it turns 747-400F are used on internal routes within the US and some of them are no more than 3 hours in duration.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpg Michael J.

I fly for Virtual Atlas/Polar Cargo Air (RFP 747-400F) and there are MANY short hops flown. We fly the real world flights as well as charters. Some examples of real world Polar flights: KMIA-KJFK, KMIA-KORD. Or you may fly routes with a combination of legs (short, mid, and long haul) for example: KMIA-KJFK, KJFK-KORD, KORD-PHNL, PHNL-YSSY.BTW, I believe when the PMDG 747-400(F) is released, that will be added to the Virtual Atlas Air fleet as well... as it is in the real world airline.Just one more thing! April 22, 200521 yr Shortest flight I've heard of for a 744 that was not a charter was Heathrow-Schiphol.Admittedly it was an emergency equipment replacement when the scheduled A319 (of all things) broke down and there was nothing smaller ready to take over at a moment's notice but it does happen.Shortest flight overall I know of is Heathrow-Fairford which is a twice-yearly charter flight during the RIAT.
