July 4, 200619 yr Greetings...I've noticed that there are several airports with new/updated SID/STAR charts and I was wondering if PMDG has released updated SID/STAR library files and if so, where can I find them? I haven't had much luck looking through the Downloads area of www.precisionmanuals.com.Thanks, and keep up the great work.PJ
July 4, 200619 yr PJ: There a new procedures issued almost every month, most minor but some very significant. First, the data that the FMC and sidstar procedures rely on being current is airports, navaids, fixes and routes. This you download from Richard Stefan's side at http://www.navdata.at The sidstars are compiled globally each cycle by Terry Yingling and can be obtained from his site http://planepath.com Terry also hosts a terminal procedures forum in avsim (go back to top and scroll down past pmdg). Many procedures are updated and tweaked by individuals who upload them to either or both navdata and the avsim library.I am not responding on behalf of PMDG, but have been very interested in procedures. Hope you find what you're looking for. Dan Downs KCRP

The procedures we can found at the http://www.navdata.at site (By this i mean not the airac cycle but the procedures) and then the procedures from Terry Yinglings site, or is it vice-versa ? July 4, 200619 yr Do the global information first (planepath & airac) then incorporate the individual updates. Once you do this a couple of times you'll figure out shortcuts that work for you.I just finished a little article on SIDSTARS (http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/SIDSTARS). Hope it helps. July 4, 200619 yr Adding to the information already offered, here is the result of searching the AVSIM library for the name . He put a great deal of work into these procedure files and is continually adding and/or updating them. Once you follow his directions in this thread, download the files you need and install them last. He's just another in a long line of contributors to our hobby who largely go unnoticed but are greatly appreciated, none the less.
