PIC VFR/LANDING View-- Fresh Topic #2

The expanded EHSI on a second monitor is just fabulous, BUT - you need a decent card to drive it, on my low-spec 4mb card it drags the FPS down by 75%, although the FMS and pedestal display on it with no noticeable drop in performance. It's more like having another 3D window open.Great bit of work though.

Yes, it seems there is a technical problem with the landing light. For me the landing light is quite important. In Lee's landing view the light works and I recall it was the very last thing Lee worked on. But you must have the POSKY exterior for that. Michael J.

Thanks Wallace! I don't have a second monitor but the undockable displays will be nice.

Hi Michael,I am using Lee's PIC/POSKY merge and I can see the lights in all other views. When I was running Lee's landing view I could see the lights there too, but unfortunately I suffered from the sticky gear problem and couldn't retract my gear in any view most of the time.

Phil,I finally had a little extra time this afternoon and fired up the 767. You've done a GREAT job with the VFR panel. It makes final into DFW on a cloudy day like this look REAL good! Thanks for the file!Is your FTP up? Can't connect......Mark

I dont see any slowdown undocking the EHSI,but its with a gf4 128 mb card.

I think that's probably true. When I used to fly a Citation V I recall the view being closer to your view than the default 767 view; i.e. I could see a lot over the nose. Of course, this was a much smaller a/c with a much smaller nose :-)However, I wonder if you could really see that much over the nose in the real 767 even if you have your seat cranked up? I like to see as much as possible and it certainly adds to the VFR experience, if it is realistic.Damon

ATTENTION:1. I've just posted a sample .wav of my P&W sound edit in action... for those of you who don't want to jump right in and try it! The link is on the same page as my other downloads.2. The auxilliary panel now works! Download the latest update to fix this issue.3. Make sure you're accessing my new site. (check my profile for the address)Have a fantastic PIC767 evening...Sincerely,Phil Geddes

Oh, and big thanks to OBK for my flashy new banner. I'm not especially creative with websites, so this was a wonderful edition!Phil Geddes

Hi Mike>> I have not seen anyone else mention the landing lights so I'm wondering if this is just me ot is this a limitation of the landing view? <

Phil, where can I get the VFR View please? And the sounds? When I try to download it form your FTP he request me an ID.Thank you and Sorry...Best Regards,Bruno Francescoli.Miami, FL.

Check my prfile! :-)Phil Geddes

I apologize!!! I forgot to include the FLAP SOUNDS with my P&W sound-edit. Check my site and download the update! Sorry for the inconvenience...Sincerely,Phil Geddes

I have downloaded and installed the P&W sounds into the `standard` 767PIC sounds folder. Some files appear to be missing, for example I have no touchdown sound. What have I missed? The missing files are:752STALL,752RODAJE,752RODAJE2,and 752FLAPS. Incidentaly although I get no touchdown sound the new T/D files are correctly installed. Can anyone help please
